Year Purchased: 1999
Never imagined returning to Maine or being this far downeast until the day I first saw Cove Meadow in 1999. 30 days later I was its steward/owner and living here full time. It's wonderful to be able to share the peace and beauty here others and wonderful occasionally to have it all to myself..
Why the Owner Chose Stonington
The first time I saw this Island I knew I wanted to live here. My heart still turns over every time I look down my cove or enter my village. Beautiful beyond words or imagining.
The Unique Benefits of this House
An endless wild harvest of berries and mushrooms from my rolling seaside meadow, clams, mussels, edible seaweeds from my cove and daily visits from bald eagles, heron, seals, osprey hawks, lynx (or is she a bob cat?).Also spectacular to be the only swimmer in 1.5 miles of pristine secluded cove. The best fishing I have every enjoyed.
