The condo is well appointed and loaded with quality dishware, silverware, glasses and other necessary kitchen items. Furniture is beautiful. Extras such as US and Mexican phones, TV, DVD, a safe for valuables are a bonus. Abundance of towels. Comfortable beds. As a ground floor unit, stepping out to the pool/patio is direct access. Nice beach in front. Easy to walk into town for dining. Safe environment. Property manager met us on time with keys; unit was ready to occupy. Staff at complex to tend to gardening, pool cleaning, etc. most courteous. Took day trip to Sayulita for a tourist fix. In Punta Mita, rented SUP boards and surfboards. Walked beach to La Lancha and other direction along Four Seasons beach to point for surfing at both spots. Dined at Margarita's and Tacos y Papas. Shopped in Bucerias at Mega, so we dined in the condo 3 of 4 evenings. Quiet town--not much shopping to do (fine with us). Rental car from Gecko was quality--transport to/from airport quite convenient. Taxis available in town if you don't have a car. Overall, relaxing and convenient. Rental rules/information very thorough. Thanks!

Excellent Place, Great deal too, totally safe

I loved it! I went there to surf with my girlfriend and simply loved the place. The condo is large and well appointed, plus they seem to have thought of everything. They have a US phone and a Mexican phone that came in handy due to the huge Midwest storm that required us to stay 3 extra days. We were thrilled! Danean gave us an excellent recommendation for the surf school. Everything was close and most importantly I felt totally secure and safe in the condo as well as the town. The beach and pool area was extremely private and we had the pool deck and beach to ourselves most of the time. The restaurants were excellent in town and I felt totally safe there and during the short walk even at night. There isn't really much nightlife beyond dinner, but we didn't go there for that at all and I kind of liked the sleepiness of the town. Everyone was polite and nice. There is a restaurant across the street that serves breakfast and dinner, we never made it to breakfast and while the owner is a bit eccentric, we had an ecellent green mole enchilada dish for at least 1/3 the cost of the beach restaurants. The kitchen has everything you could possible need if you want to cook. We plan to make this a yearly trip! We drove to Bucieras and Sayulita for errands and just to check it out. Again, felt totally safe and enjoyed ourselves. Really a beautiful, relaxing vacation.

This place was perfect. If you are looking for a place you can walk out the huge sliding glass door a few steps to the pool, and a few more to the beach this is it. The furnishing are amazing and comfortable, unlike some of the other Mexican type furnishing you see other places. The beds are first class as well as the bedding. The location is great, situated on a huge expanse of quiet walkable beach. There are no salesmen walking the beach. A short 5 minute walk gets you to the small town with great restaurants. We tried most, and were never disapointed. We walked back from the restaurants several times at night and never felt threatened or like we shouldnt be there. We are a family of 4 with two little kids. There is surfing right in front of the place, and several other breaks very close by. The beach was great for building sand castles and playing in the sometimes easy surf. The kitchen is stocked with good equipment, and basic spices. There are local grocery stores in town for the basics, or about 20 minutes away is a huge grocery store called MEGA. If you are looking for a quite place to relax by a great pool, play on an uncrowded beach, and walk to some fantastic restaurants this is it. The owners were easy to deal with, very up front, and accommodating. We are already planning our return trip for 2011, and staying longer this time.

My boyfriend and I just returned from the most romantic and relaxing vacation in Punta de Mita. This condo was just right for us becasue it was beautiful, convenient and private. The owers take pride in cleanliness and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. The beds were very comfotable, the rooms and bathrooms spacious and the views couldn't be better. The infinity pool and beach are right out your door and the little surf town of Punta de Mita a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed a very relaxing, quiet vacation surfing the break outside our door, exploring small surrounding towns and savoring great meals. If you like Mexico this place should not be missed.

THE most amazing getaway!!!!!

This property is truly the gem of Mexico. My girlfriends and I went for a long weekend getaway. We all have a diverse set of needs (aaah...sunbath, surf, snorkel, mountain bike, shop, eat....what to do?) and we each walked away completely relaxed and fulfilled! The condo is fantastic. Clean, spacious, very nicely appointed and you could easily cook every meal in the renovated kitchen. The pool is just incredible. The pictures do not even do it justice.....and adjacent to the sandiest beach around. It just doesn't get any better. My girlfriends and I enjoyed the town of Punta Mita as well. Great food and friendly people. We were able to take a boat to a great surf spot, snorkel on an island with a private beach and see a whale and a baby (on Mother's Day!) about 100 yards from our boat....dolphins also came right up to our boat to say hello. Can I say it again....it just doesn't get any better!

Quiet Getaway

We stayed at this condo in Punta Mita mid-March 2010 with our 18 month old daughter. The condo was more than spacious enough for the three of us, and very nicely appointed! The owners arranged for some of our shopping to be done ahead of time so we didn't have to stop on the way from the airport, and that was much appreciated since we needed snacks, diapers, milk, etc. The beds were comfortable and the huge master shower was a treat! The infinity pool was great and the wading ledge was absolutely perfect for our daughter to walk and play on - we spent most of our time here! The beach is just steps away, and it looked as though it would have been beautiful (fine sand, etc), but there had been a storm recently so it was VERY rocky, and thus we didn't get to hang out on the beach much. The town of Punta Mita was a little disappointing as there wasn't much there. We only ate out twice because both my husband and daughter got pretty sick on our trip, but the highlight of the trip was dinner at Cafe de Artiste (at the end of the main strip). We went early, but the service was great and the food was fantastic. It's a pricey dinner, but well worth it in our opinion. We had plans to visit some neighboring towns and hoped to find more to do, but again, that didn't happen due to illness, so it was a pretty quiet vacation overall. If you're looking for some place with fantastic weather that is quiet and relaxing just to get away, this is definitely worth the trip. But if you're interested in more adventure and excitement, you may be disappointed with Punta Mita.

Owner response:Travelers to Mexico and many other foreign countries must be aware that there is always the possibility of contracting funny tummy while on vacation. We recommend eating only cooked veggies, except at home inside the condo where you can monitor the washing of these items yourselves. The fruits and veggies are amazing in this region, as they are grown locally and taste as good as it gets. Also make sure that the ice and water you consume is purified. We provide purified water for our guests. Besides Cafe des Artiste, Sufi is a restaurant inside the Four Season gates that is just out of this world, and there is a cute new taco stand called Tacos y Papas that serves Texas beef, cooked veggie tacos and stuffed potatoes. The cost with a beer is about $10 and it is really satisfying. Punta Mita is a sleepy little town, this is the beauty of the area. The surfing in this part of the world is world class, the beaches are quite beautiful and there are mountain bike adventures, horseback riding and a zip-line on the way to Sayulita, just 20 minutes away.
