Located near the end of a narrow peninsula, Lake Lanier Lakehouse has a truly open view of the water from every room. There are views to both the east and the west over big water, giving you a rare and fabulous experience akin to being on an island. Across the water, the shorelines are almost completely forested and will make you feel as if you are in a different world, even though you're only an hour from Atlanta. Step out the back door and you can easily toss a stone into the water. From the back deck it is only about ten steps to the dock ramp. The big, uncrowded swimming cove is lined on one side with docks belonging to some of the nicest neighbors you will find anywhere, while the other side is completely undeveloped. Jump in your boat and in just seconds you are on the main channel of the Chattahoochee River. All of Lake Lanier is now your playground! The house is clean, warm, and friendly, and you'll feel instantly at home. There's a cozy den in knotty pine with a cathedral ceiling and a brick fireplace; a separate living room with cable TV, a stereo and a DVD player; a screened porch; a large deck; a main-level bedroom with two bunkbeds kids of all ages will love; and an upstairs hide-away master suite with a queen-size bed and separate bathroom. All of this is surrounded by water and watched over by one of the biggest, fullest oak trees you'll ever see. Serenity is yours in this comfortable hideaway - but you're never far from the action and anything you need: movies, stores, golf, marinas - you name it!
