This beautiful small duplex with terrace offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean and sandy beach below. Ideal for a couple, this apartment of circa 55 square meters has a double living room with fireplace and kitchen area and bath on lower level; open circular staircase leads to air-conditioned bedroom with a second fireplace and bath on upper floor that opens onto a flowering terrace that overlooks the beach.

Accessible by public transportation (1:15 minutes trainride from Rome plus a short jitney ride), this apartment is located in the historic center of an ancient Roman city that housed Tiberius' villa (whose world-renown sculptures are visible in the adjacent museum); the town retains the charm of winding whitewashed streets, open air cafes, and the absence of car traffic within the historic center.

The main piazza, within 50 meters of the apartment, offers charming shops and outdoor cafes and restaurants. A sloping staircase cut into the rocks (or the town's shuttle) brings you to the sandy beach and the blue Mediterranean Sea. The sea has been declared one of the best in Italy for many decades past.
