Rocky Top Lodge was by far the best Vacation Home we have ever shared. The location was very convenient and private, the view of Thunderhead Mountain is fantastic, all the cookwear and utensils are top of the line. Rocky top lodge is a Vacation home that was very hard to leave, We will visit again. A scenic drive that everyone should see is the Foothills Parkway West on Hwy 321 between Townsend and Maryville, The parkway takes you to Lookrock tower which is a concrete platform and a 100 mile view just like Clingmans Dome without all the people, and many scenic pulloffs along the way.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

The reviews did not let us down! This cabin is gorgeous, spacious and has an amazing view. It is so well done, and cozy and has so many comforts of home. This is by far the best stocked VRBO home we have stayed in, having everything you will need and of utmost quality. The owners have truly shared their "home" as opposed to it just being a rental property. They were accessible for questions and so warm and kind. The location is perfect for peace and nature while still being close to tourist attractions and anything else you want to do while in the smoky mountains. Everything was an easy drive away. We would absolutely return to this cabin if we ever go to this area again. In fact, we may return just because of this cabin!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We took a weekend getaway with the grandparents and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The cabin is very spacious and even more beautiful than the pictures show. The view is truly spectacular. The owners were very quick to respond when we had a question. The kids really enjoyed the children's book collection! We took advantage of the wonderfully stocked kitchen to make a couple of meals and were all able to enjoy them together at the HUGE dining table. The cabin was only a short drive to the main street of Pigeon Forge.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My family stayed here for 4 nights during Spring Break. There were only 4 of us, so the house was incredibly spacious (we could have had another family stay easily with us and still be comfortable). The house was very comfortable, with everything you would need. We enjoyed the 2 fireplaces, hot tub and great sitting areas. The kids loved the pool table! The kitchen was great with very nice appliances and there was lots of information on nearby attractions. We hiked in the National Park. Specifically loved the Tremont hike to the gorgeous waterfall. We rode horses, zip-lined, did more hiking, and enjoyed and wonderful stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

All your amenities under one roof for more than one family, small children, teenagers, etc. This property is breathtaking and is in the perfect location to venture off sightseeing all the way to North Carolina. We had grandchildren and was so nice to travel and have a baby bed and high chair at your convenience. The rocking chair and horse were a delightful suprise for the litte one as well as the crate of books. We could not of asked for a more accomadating location in the Smokey Mountains. Snow on the ground but relaxing in the hot tub was a fav pasttime for all there on the trip. The owners are the nicest people I have ever met and so helpful with tips for dining and sightseeing. We used the delivery service of the Smokey Mountain Grocery store and was completely satisfied to walk in and all the groceries be stocked and ready to go. The couple of the store were just as nice and helpful as the owners of the house. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR TRIP AND ALL BECAUSE OF THE LOCALS.....WE CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK AGAIN! They say the fall is a must trip so why not start planniing, right?!! Can't say enough about this vacation home....thanks so much!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

I have stayed at this cabin for several years now and must say that not only is the cabin awesome, but the owners, Rodger and Peggy, are a joy to work with. They are honest and trustworthy people that always go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Rent this cabin and you will not be disappointed. It is near many attractions and the view is just unbeatable!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

An amazing home and an amazing vacation! Six family members from California, Arizona and Georgia came together for a mini-reunion at Rocky Top Lodge. We chose the perfect week for weather and leaf viewing and when we walked in the front door, we knew we had also chosen the perfect place! From the huge windows looking out at the beautiful Smokies to the massive kitchen and out to the sprawling back deck, this home is the ideal location for family (or friend) fun! The beds are roomy and comfortable and the oversize living room has plenty of comfy seating for everyone. We had fun venturing out and thoroughly enjoyed the Tuckaleechee Caverns as well as Cades Cove and a 5 mile round trip hike up to Abrams Falls. Lunch at the Black Bear Cafe in Townsend is a must as well. Although we enjoyed our short trips and adventures, what we really looked forward to was spending time visiting with one another at Rocky Top Logde. Soaking in the hot tub, great meals on the huge dining table, games, movies and just relaxing were exactly what we wanted. While we could have had fun almost anywhere, we all agreed that our selection of Rocky Top Lodge was what made our special time even more wonderful. Rodger and Peggy have a remarkable home and we are happy that they allow others to enjoy it, as well. You can add 6 more people to the growing list of very satisfied folks who have shared time at Rocky Top Lodge! We look forward to returning soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

After spending a few days here for spring break, we knew we wanted to spend any time we were going to be back in the Smoky's,at Rocky Top Lodge again. So for fall break, we were back. So many upgrades since our last visit. I didn't think it needed anything done at all because it was so beautiful, but it looked so great. The deck is absolutely wonderful. Such a magical place to spend with family! We love it here and the owners are so great to work with. Thank you for sharing your "home" with us again. We hope to be back soon! We brought my 2 children for a mini birthday vacation, and it was great! The location and view from the cottage was gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and spent every evening in the hottub. There is nothing we would change about her stay. Everything was just as it was promised, and we had plenty of privacy. We hope to come back to your lovely cottage again sometime very soon. Thanks again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Wonderful vacation home with breathtaking views. Our time spent at Rocky Top was perfect thanks to the owners attention to every detail. The kitchen was supplied with everything we could possibly have needed. I recommend this home to everyone who loves the mountains and enjoys staying in a spacious yet cozy cabin. We do not usually stay in the same place twice but we may make an exception and stay here again in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
