I usually don't write reviews, but this time I have to make an exception. I had the tickets for this wonderful place to go with my mother but I left that "small issue" of getting a place for the last minute. A friend of mine recommended me vrbo and I checked several places. Finally I found Dorli's place and I decided to give it a try. It had one of the best prices and all that I needed. Two sleeping places (a bed and a couch) I wanted to give my mom some space to enjoy after her long trip to visit me (she came all the way from Europe!). What can I say, Dorli changed their family plans -as they were going to go this place- and made me an offer I could not refuse. The place is clean, top floor, and have beautiful views to the ocean. We enjoyed several sunsets from there, reading a book seating in the terrace. I had a very small problem with the lock that I talked to Dorli over email. The communication was perfect and very fast and we agree on a solution that worked. We barely used the house except for sleeping and breakfast, but definitely it had all that we needed. Unbeatable in that price range.

Aloha, We had two fantastic weeks at this fabulous condo. The proximity of the condo to the beach, stores and easy access to the highway made our stay even more enjoyable. There is everything in the condo you could ask for! Of course we had to buy the food.The condo is quiet, and in the morning you can enjoy the view of the surfers while having your morning cup of coffee. Everything was just perfecto! Mahalo Dorli! We had aniother wonderful time in Maui,thanks to Dorli;s condo. The condo is in a great location.Although we had a car and we toured the whole island we would walk to the store or shopping most nights as the weather is always great. it is in a great location for the beach as well,four beaches are very close. We will be returning again in the future and look forward to the great full veiw of the ocean. We came back home and blew up one of our photos for the lanai and hung it our our wall ,just beautiful.. Al lthings are in the condo as well ,we especialy enjoyed the beach supplies. Thanks again Dorli Frank and Jane --Cananda

This was our 2nd trip to Maui...we very much enjoyed our stay at this Condo. It was perfect for us, we don't care about being at a fancy resort or having a fabulous pool - we want to enjoy Maui & it's beautiful beaches. Waking up every morning and seeing the Spectacular & mesmerizing view from this condo is hard to beat! This condo is very accomodating, comfortable & very clean. The king size bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept in! We are planning to come back again next year! ~

We spent our honeymoon in Maui in this beautiful, clean and well located condo. It has everything you need: from the snorkeling gear, boogie boards, cooler, beach chairs and even the beach towels. The kitchen is well equiped. You will not be disappointed!

I once again stayed in Island Surf 609 in February 2010 for 2 weeks. This condo is your home away from home. First of all, the view from this condo is amazing as we can see whales playing in the ocean and watch the surfers in the waves across the street. Plus the sunsets from the comfortable lanai are amazing. We really appreciated the use of the beach chairs, boogie boards, and everything to make our days on the beaches great. The condo has a pool area that has BBQ's so you can make some fantastic meals. Inside the condo is everything you need as well - coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, pots & pans, George Forman Grill, and anything else you could need. It was also wonderful having a washing machine to keep our laundry done (bring your own soap and dryer sheets). There is air conditioning available but you don't need it, simply open up the windows (lanai sliding door too) and let the breeze come in. There are also fans to keep the air moving. It was wonderful having the convenience of wireless internet access and having a second t.v. in the bedroom. The king-sized bed is very comfortable. It really can be your home away from home and we are so lucky to have found this place. I highly recommend it.

Hi Dorli, I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful Condo. We will never forget that view. Also we appreciated the extra conveniences like the peroxide for scrapes, snorkeling and beach equipment. It was funny after the initial night we used the AC and then maybe one other time. Dorli: Thanks for having one of the nicest places to stay on Maui. Just as advertised you provided everything we needed and more. We rented snorkel equipment and didn't even realize you had two sets in the activity closet. The accommodations were great. Everything we did was practically within walking distance. Great shops, restaurants and great bars! The view was unbelievable. We watched several sunsets from the lanai. Can wait to come back. We are already looking to go next year and we will be staying at your condo if it is available. Mahalo!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Unit 60-1 (Condo #609). We found the unit to be as advertised. It was well organized, clean, and comfortable. The amenities of the unit were numerous especially the high speed computer access, air conditioning, and number of Maui oriented publications we found on the dining table. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the lanai.

We stayed in this wonderful condo February 9 - 23/08. It was such a comfortable place to be, with everything you could possibly want that we felt completely at home here. We never used the air conditioning because of the great cross-breeze you could get between the bedroom and the living room and it was so convenient to have the washer/dryer and internet connection to keep in touch with those back home! We saw whales every day from the lanai and enjoyed the beach chairs and boogie boards. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to you!

2/9/08 What a wonderful time at your Condo. Our first morning we woke up to the surfers and the glorious ocean view. We watched sunsets and whales each day from the lanai The beach was short walk away and most enjoyable. We have stayed at various condos in Hawaii and this was the best of the best. WE LOVED OUR STAY!! The condo was perfectly situated in kihei across from the beach. We walked downstairs, signed up for surfing lessons and actually LEARNED to surf! The decor of the place was all aloha with very comfortable furniture (bed included!) The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary accessories and the internet and phone calls were free and very useful to have available! THE BEST FEATURE was our view!! We enjoyed sunrise over Haleakala and enjoyed sunsets with our beach view. The lanai (patio) had a table and chairs with pads, so we could sit for hours watching the whales! We didn't even need binoculars to see them jump or play! Once we found our binoculars, it was even better! Thanks again for a great stay! I honestly can't say enough other than to visit and stay again or refer my favorite folks to you. Mahalo!

Dorli, Most of the time where you stay is as important as where you go on a vacation. It can make or break the experience. We couldn't have been happier with you Island Surf condo in Maui. Hi Dorli, Just a quick thank you for letting us use your condo. What a great spot!! We loved the view from the lanai every day. It was fun to watch the beginner surfers out front. The palm trees made it special for me. It is amazing to see how much Maui has changed in the last year. I have been going to Maui for the last 30 years and have seen lots of changes. ( My in-laws live in Wailuku.) I can remember when Wailea was just palm trees and sand. I was shocked to see it all developed. I guess I hadn't been in that area in years. We had a boat take us from the Kihei landing to Makena area. There was a pod of dolphins that followed us. When we got there there where 2 sea turtles. It was really a beautiful moment. The only thing at the condo was when I opened the curtains one day and a couple of the hooks broke. Sorry, but I found some more at Ace and put them up. The spares are in the kitchen drawer. Also on the dryer you may want to note where the vent is located. We had just been in a condo in Tahoe and it took us for ever to find the vent in the same kind of dryer. Every thing else was great. Good morning Dorli, we arrived at the condo and everything is perfect, we have everything we need and the view when we got up this morning was beautiful, the light is so different in the am, it took me by surprise. Recycling, which I always like to do, I saw in your helpful notes what to recycle, but not the method, should we leave them in the apartment or is there somewhere we can take them to? Hello, The condo was great! We loved it. We felt like one of the locals. We actually liked the idea of not being in a huge resort. You provided everything we could've possibly needed to make our trip perfect. Yes, we could easily see ourselves living here in Hawaii. We did talk to some of the local business owners/locals about doing business in Maui, and the ups and downs. Very interesting! If it were just my husband and myself, I would be completely content living in your condo. We found that we were mostly outside enjoying the beauty of Maui as I'm sure most people do.
