My family and I had a great time. It is such a beautiful area. We visited many nearby attractions. The fishing was tough. The cabin was great and very clean! Loved having a washer and dryer. It had everything we needed. We were also happy that we got to take our dog!

Great vacation on Moose Lake
Great vacation on Moose Lake
My wife and I stayed here for a week last September and had a wonderful time. The cabin is clean and comfortable with many updates and located on a quiet road with virtually no traffic. We enjoyed being able to dock our boat at the pier and go fishing any time we wished. Fishing was good as we caught numerous walleyes and crappies from the cribs located throughout the lake. This cabin has a great view of the lake from the deck and we enjoyed having a morning cup of coffee from it, watching the wildlife. Also got to see a bull elk and three cows, two with radio tracking collars, on the way to the boat launch. Overall, a great, relaxing vacation. We look forward to spending another week here this year.

My mom and I went up to the Lazy Moose for a mother-daughter get-away week and had just the best time. The cabin was so cozy but spacious and had everything we needed to have a relaxing and fun week away. The location is a great distance from places to go for day trips but it feels very secluded. The waterfront is clean and perfect for swimming and the dock is great. We brought my lab with us for the week and he had a blast. We couldn't get him out of the water. The cabin owner, Joanne, was so wonderful, welcoming, and helpful. She made great recommendations for hikes and things to do and she was so easy to work with before hand. We would LOVE to make a trip up to the Lazy Moose an annual event in our family.

Peaceful and picturesque

My family and dog stayed at the cabin in mid-July and had a wonderful time. It was great being able to have the dog with us, and the house is plenty big for all five of us. It was right on the lake, and we rented a motor and fished, though without much success. The photos are accurate, the house was very clean and well maintained, the owners had just left and therefore even left us handwritten notes about garbage pickup, etc. It was a little hike into town to see the attractions and go to restaurants and stores, but that we part of the charm of it - it was enough off the beaten path to be restful and quiet. We had a great time at the Musky museum, and the fish fry across the lake, and just hanging out together for some family time. The only drawback was the fishing, but it was a hot week, and they weren't biting for anyone. I'd highly recommend the cabin, and we've thought about going back another time ourselves.

Our family has enjoyed this vacation retreat for several years and have enjoyed both the home and the surrounding area. The cabin is always clean with plenty of amenties with Moose Lake being great to swim and fish. A short day trip to Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands is always a real treat not to mention the "shop to you drop" shpping excursions to nearby Hayward with all it history. John and Barbara Post
