  I rented Nancy's Duplex for a belated Mother's Day/Girls Weekend Getaway for me, my mom, sis n'law and her mom for the weekend and we can't wait to come back and rent it again! The location is literally across the street from the beach, so you can just walk across the street to enjoy some beach time, open the blinds to watch the sunset over the ocean (yep! you can see the beach from the front window) or crack open a window and listen to the waves crashing to lull you to sleep at night,. The home is super clean, beautifully decorated, and full of many amenities & conveniences that make any guest feel right at home! Looking forward to renting this home again in the near future!

  My family and I enjoyed this home. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. Excellent location near the beach and close to Nye Beach which was our favorite. Would highly recommend to any family or couple looking for a welcoming and warm home near the beach.

  We stayed in this lovely beach home for a full week. We really felt like we were at home. From the inviting decor to the comfy beds, it was perfect. It was also great having a full kitchen and laundry. This was probably one of the last trips we will be able to do with our three boys, as they are growing up, so it was important to me that it be a vacation that makes lots of memories. This wonderful home helped to add to those memories. We are already looking at dates for next year and hoping at least part of the family will be able to return. Thank you, Nancy!   My husband, two daughters and myself could not have been more comfortable in your beautifully appointed and conveniently located home at the beach. All the creature comforts were there meeting our needs and making us feel right at home, right away. The location could not be beat, being less than 5 minutes away from exploring the historic bay front, walking Nye Beach, visiting the Farmer's Market to procure fresh produce enjoyed in "our" kitchen. The only thing that could have made our stay better is if we had more time to enjoy our relaxing and beautiful surroundings. In addition to the property being accommodating, Nancy is also one of the nicest people you could ask to rent from - quick to respond, helpful and friendly -- all things notably reflected in her wonderful beach retreat. We will be back next summer!

  Owner response: We cannot wait for you to return next year! Our duplex is in the perfect location, I would have to agree. So close to everything renters want to see. One of the things we love about Newport is that it is more than a tourist town. It has all the things you want to see when you are traveling...great beaches, fun shops, wonderful restaurants, not 1 but 2 lighthouses, golfing, and an aquarium, but Newport also has a wonderful Performing Arts Center with plays and symphony performances, a very nice library and now is a base for National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration which provides a strong economic base for the community. We are very lucky to have a home in Newport to share with our wonderful renters! Nancy & Steve

  We met our son's family in Newport, including two young boys. The house was ideal for our group, and being right across the street from the beach was great. We all love to cook, and the kitchen ws well equipped for us. We would love to return for another summer break.

The beach is perfect for playing and long walks. The beach is nice and wide and long, too!   My family and I just spent a weekend at Nancy's duplex, and it is everything described in this listing and more -- very conveniently located, easy access to and a view of the ocean, beautifully decorated and as comfortable as being at home. In addition to all this, every convenience we needed was there -- all kinds of cooking utensils, standard kitchen supplies in the cupboards (no need to buy salt, pepper, etc), ample cleaning supplies and a very well stocked house in terms of toilet paper, paper towels and even personal items like shampoo and lotion. Thank you, Nancy! We had a two-year-old with us and the extra baby gate came in very handy -- plus our little one enjoyed the freedom of running up and down the hallway. Needless to say, she slept well at night and we didn't have to worry about her or feel cramped -- as we would have in a two-story house. Four adults, two young adults and one toddler were very comfortable in this duplex -- so that says a lot. The location is close enough to Nye Beach for a long stroll, and also about midway between Nye Beach and the Newport Waterfront -- and if you don't want to walk, it's just a short drive to both these great spots, with the added feature of being quiet and away from the crowds. Nancy herself is wonderful to work with -- very quick to respond through email or phone, very helpful with her rental package (including "Nancy's Favorites" -- which influenced our choice to eat dinner at Nana's Irish Pub), and very conscientious in making sure you have a great experience at her place. We would not hesitate to rent it every time we come to the Oregon Coast.

  Owner response: Thank you for your superb review! We are very touched with all the details you mentioned about our duplex. It is true, I tell everyone before they go to the grocery store to see what we have there. We have all the standard spices, but we usually have more than that. Everytime we go to Newport, I stock up the cupboards with paper products including napkins, plastic wrap, foil and of course, papertowels and toilet paper. Your side of the duplex has a real wood burning stove, so I also stock up on wood and Duraflame logs for renters to enjoy. I love the location too. It is perfect, close to almost everything and only a short drive if it is too far to walk. We LOVE the long hallway that your little one had fun running back and forth on. What we love about it, is that bedrooms are farther away from the hub of action in the living room and kitchen, so it is peaceful in the back. Someone can actually get some sleep without being disturbed by the noise of othe people in those areas. I am glad that you liked my prepared list of Nancys Favorites. Nanas Irish Pub is a recent discovery of ours and it was the only restaurant that was open on a slow winter night. I was so delighted with their chicken pot pie, that I could not wait to add them to my list. I am glad that our philosophy about taking care of our renters in the most professional and friendly manner possible, trying to anticipate what a renter wants and needs in their stay is very much appreciated. People have told me over and over, why do you buy such nice things for renters, but my belief is if you have a really nice place for someone to stay, they will treat it with respect and appreciate what you have tried to provide for them. This belief seems to work! It is the only way I want to rent out our home. Looking forward to your return. Nancy & Steve

  This duplex is clean, nicely decorated and within walking distance to the beach. The bedrooms were nice. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathrooms are nice. There is a wood burning stove in the family room if you feel like starting a fire. There are games for kids to play. There also is a barbecue grill. Newport is relaxing. This duplex is relaxing, too.

  My family had a wonderful time staying at the beach house. The only sad thing was the fun had to end! We will definitely be back to stay and for longer next time. The house was beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. It's location is perfect for beach time as well as a good home base for further excursions. Lovely owners to work with as well, we highly recommend !

  Rented the condo for 3 nights. We had 3 adults and 1 three year old. Location was great and right across the street from the beach. A few restaurants were within easy walking distance which was nice for us for breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the place had all the necessary basics. If you are travelling with small children I'd recommend bringing your own games, movies and toys, but overall very nice. We would definitely book this place again.

  This is a wonderful property. It is very clean, well equipped, and centrally located. It is by far one of the best rentals I've stayed in. Thank you so much for sharing your home. It is lovely.
