Built of granite in the indigenous style, this 2 story, 3 bedroom traditional Cycladic house sits high on a hill overlooking Mykonos Town, in a setting of private gardens with flowers, figs, olives, grapes and capers. The first floor of the house consists of an entry room with 2 desks, a large (20 foot by 20 foot) living room with a beamed cathedral ceiling, a dining room with a large table and 8 chairs, a full bath with bathtub/shower combination, and a kitchen with a large refrigerator/freezer, electric stove/oven and double marble sink. The front entrance opens into a private, walled garden with an olive tree and bougainvillia, trumpet vine and other flowering vegetation; on the opposite side of the house is a large terrace with a spectacular view of the windmills and harbor of Mykonos, and the islands of Tinos and Syros in the distance. The second floor of the house includes 2 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds, a sleeping balcony with 2 additional single beds, overlooking the cathedral-ceiling living room, and a full bathroom with bathtub/shower combination. Both the master bedroom and the balcony bedroom have sea views. Beyond the first floor-level gardens and terrace is an additional, lower terrace with abundant figs, grapes, 2 more olive trees. (Two smaller rental units are on the lower terrace, and can supplement the living and sleeping space of the main house. One is a 1 bedroom house that sleeps 4- 2 in a private bedroom, 2 others on built-in sleeping couches- and the other is a studio that sleeps 2 on built-in sleeping couches.) The house has about 1500 square feet / 170 square meters of living space. An album of photos showing each unit is available for internet viewing once we have exchanged some initial communication.
