This was our first time to Hawaii. We decided to spend Christmas in Maui. It was the best decision ever! Charlotte & Ralph were awesome to deal with! Helpful, had lots of tips, just great people. Their condo was unbelievable, when we walked through the door the expansive view of the ocean was breath taking. The condo has been wonderfully renovated. The tile floors to the granite counters. The condo was spacious and comfortable. The kids loved swimming in the heated pool and being on the beach where they snorkelled and skim boarded. A number of times we encountered turtles in the water right in front of the condo. This is truly an oceanfront property. How we will miss having coffee in the mornings on the lanai watching the whales breach and the odd turtle pop up to say hello. On our last morning we saw whales, a turtle, and dolphins all from the lanai...my 7 year old said "It is like they know we are leaving and are all saying good bye to us" It was the best holiday we ever had. The 2 weeks went by in the a flash. Thank you Charlotte and Ralph for sharing your piece of paradise, we truly cannot wait to go back and when we do we hope we will still be able to stay in your lovely condo! Mahalo, Mahalo, Mahalo!

"Have I told you how FABULOUS my rental is?"

I've just returned last evening from two weeks in Maui (my daughter's wedding) and before I get too consumed with catching up with my real life I am writing a review. This condo was FABULOUS! Apparently I said it so often that it became a little joke--"Has Bretynn told you how fabulous her place is yet?" That is until I invited people over--then when anyone mentioned accommodations, others chimed in before I could with "But wait, have you seen where Bretynn's staying yet?" I rented another condo for my first week and that was a tired old place. The pictures must have been taken with a fish-eye lens because it was much smaller than I had expected. Conversely, A-202 was much larger than I had expected and perfect in every way. My daughter even commented that it was nicer than the suite they rented for their wedding night. I wish I had rented it for the full two weeks. And in the future, I will rent this condo (I visit about every 10 months since my daughter lives on Maui). One of the best features of this condo is its huge lanai with unobstructed views of sunsets and the islands Lana’i and Moloka’i. The lania also overlooks the pool with its tiki torches lit at night which was very enchanting with the ocean as a backdrop. I honestly had a tough time picking which bedroom I wanted to stay in—the front bedroom with lani access or the back bedroom with the large separate vanity. I ended up in the back bedroom because I’m a light sleeper and the sound of the waves kept me awake. However my 23 yo son loved the waves lulling him to sleep each night. Thank you Charlotte and Ralph for creating such a fabulous place and allowing others to enjoy it too.

" Little piece of heaven"

Aloha, Charlotte & Ralph, just wanted to thank you for sharing your " little piece of heaven" with us. The view, the location ,the renovations were all spectacular. We liked what you did with the bathrooms so much we are considering doing ours the same at home.We loved staying in Kahana just a short walk to restuarants,shops and our favorite the ice cream shop (very delicious ice cream at the gateway mall) But the thing we will miss the most is the view from the lanai,we watched many sunrises & sunsets spectacular. Hi; This was our first visit back to Maui, since the mid 70's, and lots had changed but still a beautiful place. This time was with our family of 6. Did lots of research before choosing the Hololani,....but it exceeded our expectations. The location is great,....close to Napili, Kaanapali, and Lahaina. Lots of amenities close by, and Kahana has a real nice feel to it. Some inexpensive / free things to do from our perspective: - snorkel at Napili - Sheratin cliff diver at sunset (try to get the free beach parking spots in the Sheratin lot, next to the beach access) - Honokawai Farmers Market (60s all over again) - BJ's Pizza in Lahaina - just strolling Front Street - day or night - just sitting on your lanai - a truly million dollar view - Maui Ocean Centre - a must see!!! The condo itself is spacious and was more than adequate for the 6 of us. Two bedrooms and the young kids slept on the pull out bed. Ralph and Charlotte (the new owners) are terrific to deal with, (they are Flames fans,....but we won't hold that against them!!!)....and Mike the building manager is great. Say Hi to him for us. (ask to light the tiki torches at sunset!) If you chose Hololani A202, you won't be disappointed!! Aloha! Pat

What a great place to stay ! Location is perfect right on the beach, close to ammenities, and not too far from all the activities in Lahina. Booking was a smooth process. We love Maui, and our trip was wonderful !!! Thanks Larry.

What a wonderful place to spend my first vacation on Maui. Location is superb! That is if you like being lulled to sleep by the gentle breeze and waves of the Pacific. So much to see and do right at our fingertips. Loved sitting on the lanai watching the kite sailers and surfers. One piece of advice...if you've never done it you must take a helicopter tour! FABULOUS. Also snorkeling at the Molokini Crater! BEAUTIFUL. The condo was pleasant, airy and clean. The grill was handy, just a short trip down the elevator. Everything we needed to relax and play was right at our finger tips! Can't wait to return.

This condo will not disappoint. I have stayed here four times now. It is a rare day that my thoughts don't wander back to the lanai. Blazing sunsets, ocean breezes, palm trees, fresh fish off the BBQ, and maybe a mai tai, all make for a perfect evening. The condo is very clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. I can't wait for my next trip to paradise.
