  You'll not find an apartment in a better location for exploring old town Salzburg. This apartment is a few feet from Alter Markt square and only a block from Residenz Platz and Mozart Platz. It's right in the middle of old town Salzburg and a 10-minute walk across the river to the new part of town. The Rathaus and Hanuschplatz bus stops are less than five minutes away, making it easy to hop on a bus to anywhere else in the city. The apartment building dates back to 1374 and you can easily imagine that it is 600+ years old as you're climbing the stairs, but when you step into the apartment, you're suddenly back in the 21st century. The apartment was very modern, very clean and very well-equipped. Communications with the owner was very good and the site manager Igor was also very friendly and helpful. The only factor that might be a downside for some is that the apartment is on the fourth floor with no elevator. It could be a problem for the elderly or infirm, but not for anybody else. We're 56 years old and the steps were not a problem at all. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to the beautiful city of Salzburg!

  We stayed in Apartment III for four nights in November 2011. It's in a perfect location right in the middle of the Old Town, a two minute walk to the Dom and a short walk across the Salzach to the New Town. The bus stop is very convenient to the apartment. The building the apartment is located is very interesting in that it was built in 1374 and walking up the steps and hallways to the apartment you can imagine how it looked 600+ years ago with the decorations there. Excellent apartment to stay at when you are in Salzburg!

  The beginning: We had a great time in this place. We were in 4 (with two small kids) and the apartment was big enough for everyone. The positive: The bed was large and comfortable (thank god, we were in 4 some times), the TV (flat screen about 40 inches) was mounted in a recessed part of the wall next to the bed. This was great for the kids who watched German cartoons just before going to bed. The kids slept on a fold up bed. The kitchen was modern and well organized and off from the living room bedroom area. The apartment had two 1/2 bathrooms, one tiny with a toilet and sink and the other with a large sink and custom tiled shower. The radiators were all brand new and when cranked up I think the paint could have peeled off the walls. The negative: The apartment was recently renovated and therefore it boggles my mind that the large bathroom didn't have a toilet. The little bathroom with the toilet was constantly freezing - only part of the apartment that was ever cold. The apartment is on the 4th floor without an elevator. That's 22 stairs for floor one, 22 more for floor two, 18 more for floor three and finally 17 more for floor four. That's allot of stairs, but SO WHAT! I frankly didn't care (with two small kids) and unless you have health issues (like heart or leg or hip) it wouldn't be a problem for you either. The end: The description of the apartment doesn't highlight the fact that it is literally in the center of the old town. It was really cold when we were there (January 1-6) and we often would go out for a couple of hours then come back and get warm again - have a snack or have lunch or dinner and then go out again. The building was built in 1374 and it is a delicious building - it breaths history.

  This apartment met our needs perfectly - so central, and minutes from the Festival Halls, yet quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

  I have been in Salzburg the 2nd week of December 2007 during the Advent. The apartment is very very very nice, in a superb location in the very middle of the old town, perhaps is not a good offer for disabled people or aged one (no lift). The owner is a very nice and decent person, the rent is absolutely fair
