We stayed here for my annual girlfriends weekend get away and it was a perfect 10! We enjoyed every day being on the roof top, cooking yummy meals, and sleeping in comfy beds. A place we all want to come back to. Thanks for sharing your home with us, it was a perfect get away.

This place was nicely done, I could see someone had remodeled it. I pretty much agree with most of the good things others have said. The top deck had wonderful views, unfortunately we had one full day of heavy rain, good thing we took advantage of the day before. A short walk to the beach, Santa Cruz is close and even Monterey wouldn't be too far. Have fun!

Nice place to stay. Good location. Walk to Rio Del Mar beach.

We stayed 2 days and enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was clean and ready to go. Easy to get to and park. Has all of the conveniences you would expect to find in a vacation rental. The highlight is the rooftop lounges and sun area. Although it poured rain on our first day, we enjoyed looking out over the ocean after the weather broke up. Although we had to pick up some paper towels and light bulbs for a couple of the lamps and plug in the TV & internet equipment, this was not a problem for us as we had a great time. We would stay here again.

The location is ideal. The photos did reflect the rentals appearance. There have been a few changes with the furniture and bedding but nothing major. Of course the view was a little different when we were there because of the drainage work on the beach that was out of sight after our stay. The property was clean and the outside was maintained. Although the front door was never used as car access is in the rear and very convenient we took our family picture on the front stairs. The owner was very helpful prior to our stay, we had no reason to contact her during our stay. I would highly recommend this property to friends and relatives. We had a variety of ages from 17 months to 59 years. We taught the little one to scoot on the stairs so everyone was safe. Everyone was sad to leave and everyone is ready to book it for next year. We had an activity planned everyday away from the condo and then the rest of the day spent on the beach, taking a walk or just lounging on the deck depending on the weather. We had two days of inclement weather but just adjusted our activities. We visited the children's museum in Santa Cruz, lighthouse, boardwalk, wharf, The Buttery, The Flowershack, The Farmer's Market on Saturday morning at Cabrillo College. Great food, entertainment and family friendly. Capitola and it's shops, Pizza My Heart, beautiful beach and Zelda's for Dinner. The Seymour Facility, family friendly, tour, picnic lunch and hands on for the little ones. The Roaring Railroad. We did not go on the trainride do to cost, we enjoyed the grounds and the other activities that were available. Local to the condo is a Coffee Shop opens at 6:30 am for early risers. Little store on the corner, prices high but convenient. Deli on the other corner, great cookies and a social place for visiting with locals and out of towners. Super place to stay and don't know if I will be able to wait a year to return.

This getaway was just what the doctor ordered! Lovely home ready to rent. Clean and comfortable, it felt like home when we walked in. All the amenities you could think of were available, with new, clean improvements apparent everywhere. I was staying to be near a conference retreat nearby, while my husband enjoyed the wifi and the views all day. Just enough stuff to walk to, such as the BEACH and an excellent Mexican restaurant, but can also drive for 5 minutes to grab groceries, burgers and petrol. It's a perfect location for enjoying a special occasion or holiday. Lovely owner bent-over backwards to make us happy and comfortable. It was much appreciated and is definitely on our short-list of places we love to stay. It's just what the doctor ordered!

Stayed here with my best friend from college, our husbands and kids. We had a great time despite the rain. Very closely situated to the beach and we spent some time there. Very peaceful. The beds were extremely comfortable and we passed right out. Nice to have two full bedrooms so all of us could shower in the morning. The kitchen was fully stocked with more dishes than the home that we live in !!!! Thank you for this rental, I will recommend to family and friends. Disregard that negative review from earlier. That person didn't know what she was talking about.

My husband and I have stayed at this adorable home 2 other times before and each time I wonder why I don't come more often. The house is well cared for and all you could desire in a home is readily available. The bed is comfortable and great showers, great kitchen. One of the best parts is the closeness to the beach and to so many local restaurants and Santa Cruz. It was a delightful retreat that we will surely come again to relax, unwind, enjoy the ocean, and just be.

Pictures Can Be Deceiving

We stayed at the Heavne's Roost during the US Open in June 2010. I have to say the location is great, close to the beach and wonderful views. The pictures on this web site and other web sites for this property do not display the un-cleanliness of this property. I will just say, this property is WAY, WAY overdue for a deep, deep cleaning. My daughter and I washed the towels, bedding and the dishes before we used any of them. We never walked around barefooted at any time. I do not want to go into some of the gross things about this property on this web site, but I have pictures, I will be willing to answer any questions you may have about this property. I just want to say: "Renter Be Ware!!!"

Owner response:It's unfortunate that this rentor felt this way. Before she even rented the property, she didn't want to pay a cleaning fee. She didn't tell me she had a pet. Because she didn't want to pay for the pet fee. This rentor didn't seem happy with anything that was done for her. My manager & I did everything we could to make her happy, but nothing seemed to please her. Her husband seemed thrilled with the location and the fact that he was able to convienetly go to the US open. She demanded not to pay a cleaning fee and not to pay a pet fee. I waved the pet fee. I'm truly not clear about what she wanted except to get more money back. As you can see by the other reviews everyone has loved the property!

Our family (two kids, 13 and 7, and one dog) stayed for part of spring break. We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, and taking long walks along the beach boardwalk only a couple of blocks away. Having our own off-street parking was very convenient. Our girls loved having the bottom floor to themselves, and hanging out on the rooftop deck. We also enjoyed yummy hot & cold sandwiches at Pixie Deli nearby (and they sold good wine in their shop, too)! The condo was very clean, with the exception of the master bathroom sink, which looked like it got skipped in the last cleaning. No biggie, there were supplies handy, and I did it myself. We visited both Santa Cruz and Monterey during our stay, and Aptos is very convenient to both areas without having to deal with the crowds. We would love to return here in the future.

We stayed at Heaven's Roost for 5 nights in July of 2010. The property is very well maintained and just 2 blocks from the beach. The roof top deck was our favorite place, we could hear the waves and even spotted dolphins while eating dinner with a great view. This property is perfect for a family. The kitchen is small, but well had everything you need to make family meals. We will definitely use this property again.
