This house is simply beautiful. The pictures and description of the property was extremely accurate. Our time in Corolla was rained out so we were really able to enjoy this lovely home. The layout was perfect offering each guest privacy as well as a great gathering space for talking and watching movies. The outside living was spectacular, although we were only able to experience for a short time in between breaks in the rain. I would highly recommend this home. The management company and the owners were great to work with.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We just recently stayed at Sunkissed for a week, and loved it! We all had a great time - the children especially liked the pool. The house is a good size, and was very comfortable for 7 people. The kitchen is fully equipt with plates, cups, bowls, utensils, etc. This property could use a few upgrades, however. It is not for lack of location, because the beach is only a few minutes away on foot! Some of the appliances need help: the dishwasher works, but the bottom rack is broken; the microwave smells like burnt coffee; the TV could be upgraded to a flat screen. When we arrived, the propane tank was empty on the BBQ, and the baby gate was broken. The sheets in one of the master bedrooms were questionable, and washed before using. But do not let this deter you from staying at Sunkissed. I will treasure my memories from our vacation here.

Owner response:Thanks for your feedback. The wheel to the dishwasher rack has been ordered, as they do break easily when overloaded. We will mention the microwave and sheets to the property maintenance company to ensure this is dealt with. We have had 6 sell out seasons in a row and we take great pride in listening to and acting on the comments made by our guests. We are happy you had a great time and look forward to having you again as our guests at Sunkissed!

We stayed at Sunkissed this last week from Sept 10 -17, 2011. I loved the look of the exterior of the house and the way they described it. Happy when we arrived b/c we know neighborhood from a previous stay at a different house and the exterior looked nice. BUT then things went down hill and we were very disapoointed. Would not recomend staying here with so many other options out there. Price was solid after Labor day, but still felt severly let down. House was 4 sale, so may be issue of not wanting to put $$ in that is needed The good: House is large and has alot of bedrooms if you need them. Bathrooms had Jacuzzi tubs and hot tub on deck was nice. Alot of deck space (Although some nails need hammered down More, b/c I caught my foot a couple times) Pool and pool are is very nice and large. Plenty of seating and space for kids. Now on the the less than good. OK, bad. Arrived to find hairs in beds probably from dirty comforters they left on instead of cleaning after each stay! (Several) and a dead grill we assumed was from no propane, and a broken unusable baby gate (which with a 11 month old is a HUGE issue). ALL unacceptable. (Management company issues maybe, but still - this was our welcome! And even when they tried to correct it things failed, they brought propane which dies 3 days later...so either they did not bring a new one, or the 1987 grill is just broken! Decor inside like the curtains, bedspreads etc are dated. And cabin etc, wood trim etc is somewhat worn and has nicks all over. Not that big of an issue, but I expect more at this price point. Main level and other carpet is in GREAT need of being deep steam cleaned. just looked used and dirty...and left me not feeling good. TVS's really need to be updated to flat screen, b/c these days that's like 300$ or so each for a decent flat TV, instead of the old 1990's tv's. Again at this price point, it is expected. Pool table was small version and had only mini sticks. Come on! Don't think that was in the description saying mini - , but again expect More at this price point --- or at least tell people this fact! Also spider webs EVERYWHERE outside. need to clean better as well as organize shed of toys, beach stuff etc. It was a MESS. We stayed with so many options b./c we liked idea of pool table and the fact they listed baby gates, high chair and pack and play (Only to find baby gate busted and pool table with small sticks is useless to people who play pool!

Owner response:The home is not for sale. I have reviewed this post with the Management and cleaning company and passed along my dis-satisfaction. I do expect the home to be clean for each and every guest. Carpets replaced throughout home in Winter of 2011. The propane BBQ has been replaced with a cast iron park style grill. Televisions all work properly but will be replaced as needed throughout 2012 season. Finally, the baby gate was purchased new and in good working order as of our last visit. Based on the feedback, we now know it needs to be replaced. Thanks for your constructive feedback. We will do all that we can to address and rectify these issues for the 2012 season.

We spent a week at 'Sunkissed' and absolutely LOVED EVERYTHING! From lazily sitting by the pool to enjoying late nights in the game room, it was an all around amazing trip. Our group favorite was the hot tub, though the ocean is a close runner up! The way the house is structured allows for both privacy and at the same time, a real group feeling. We also enjoyed bike rides on the beach, and many great meals in the Timbuk II shopping center (and also at the Sunset Grille in Duck!). I fully reccomend this house, and also the owner, who kept in close email contact with me, answered all questions fully and easily, and even called us while we were there to reccomend 'the best pulled pork sandwich' by the lighthouses!

This was the most relaxing vacation that we have had in years. The area is beautiful and the house is gorgeous. You thought of everything with this house. Having beach toys, boogie boards and bicycles available made it possible for us to come from 3 parts of the country with nothing more than clothes and still have a great time. Thanks for everything - WE WILL BE BACK!

We just got back from a wonderful vacation at this home - 06/02/2006 - 06/10/2006. We had an absolutely fabulous time. We loved the house. We had a family reunion and had 15 people in our group ranging in age from 4 to 78. We all enjoyed the house and never felt that we were sitting on top of one another. We enjoyed the decks, the pool with the outside sound system, and the short walk to the beach on a daily basis. The kids stayed on the bottom floor and had their own space as well in the recreation room. I can't say enough about the house. It lived up to and exceeded our families expectations. We are hoping to come back again within the next few years and do it all over again. Thanks for your honest appraisal of the home and the surroundings. My family and I had one of the best family vacations we have EVER had at this great house. Plenty of room for everyone,Me(mom), 3 sons with spouses, 3 grandchildren and 1 daughter,,, lots of amenities, pool was fabulous, a plus with the hot tub, weather was perfect and the owners were wonderful to talk with. Wow! We had so much fun at your house! My family and friends really enjoyed the hot tub and pool. It was great having such a short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back next year and I highly recommend this house for a great OBX getaway!

What an awesome vacation. For a first time visit to the Outer Banks we could not have asked for a better home. The house has it all. With such a short walk to the beach, our 4 kids (all under 5) easily made the trip. With such an awesome experience, we are already looking forward to next year's visit.

We had a great week at your home. The house was beautiful and everything was in order. The pool/hottub were great but we also enjoyed the beach every day and were happy with the short walk to get there. The kids all had a ton of fun and all 16 family members never felt crowded. It's a great family vacation since there is something for everyone. Our kids were ages 2-17 and each had something to do every day. We have a lot of great family memories and we can't wait to come back again. We also really appreciate the phone calls from the owner to make sure that everything was in order - it is very rare these days that someone be so concerned with service. We would highly recommend this home and Corolla to anyone looking for a great vacation. The Polifronio, Espinoza, Simonelli, and Bolen families of NJ, NY, and FL.
