Come enjoy our wonderful vacation home in Breckenridge. As rentors ourselves for many years and as owners who enjoy staying at Wapiti Lodge as much as we can, we have furnished, equipped and "amenitized" our home with YOUR stay in mind. Our home is 4000 square feet, with 8 Bedrooms (4 are master suites), 6 Bathrooms, a great room, a family room and a game room with a pool/ping-pong table. It sleeps up to 19(14 adults max.) and has plenty of room inside and out. Relax in the hot tub after a hard day of skiing or hiking. Curl up with a book by a warm fire. Challenge a friend to a game of pool. Tackle a 1000 piece puzzle. Sit on the swing in the backyard and listen to the Blue River run by. Watch one of your favorite old movies on the 47 inch HDTV. Have fun cooking a meal for friends and family in a kitchen that has everything you need. And then there is the town of Breckenridge with all it has to offer. At Wapiti Lodge you are just a short walk to town and the Free Shuttle bus stop is one door up.

Wapiti Lodge has a great room with a wood burning fireplace (wood provided), a family room with 47 inch HDTV (with expanded channels) and a DVD player as well as a game room with a pool/ping pong table. All master suites have their own TV/DVD. The fully equipped kitchen is large and open to the dining room and great room for optimal socializing with the cook(s). The dining room has two tables that can be arranged for your group's needs. Twelve chairs are around the tables and there are 6 padded folding chairs which can be brought in if needed. The dining room also has a bar console so you can set up for cocktails out of the way of the cooks. The kitchen counter bar has seating for four. The house has several child friendly amenities including two pac-n-plays, booster seat, table and chairs and sleds. The backyard has a children’s jungle gym and swing set. New deck and new deck furniture in '06.

The pantry/utility room has a large capacity washer and dryer (new in '07), laundry sink and plenty of storage room . The house has two 75 gallon hot water heaters so you’ll have more than enough hot water for everyone in your group. The kitchen has two ovens, a 5 burner gas cook top, microwave, dishwasher and side-by-side refrigerator.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to cook and serve for 20. A second refrigerator is in the game room.

Breckenridge is the ideal location for both summer and winter vacations. It puts you in the middle of world class skiing, fishing, and golfing, so whatever the season there is always a reason for Breckenridge.

  • For the second year in a row our extended family has stayed in Wapiti Lodge for our vacation in Breckenridge and we plan to do so again next year. It is the perfect place for our family of 7 adults and 8 children ranging in age from 3-16. The parents love all the amenities for the younger children and the older children love the pool/ping pong table and the big-screen TV. The bedrooms are perfect and the kitchen is fully equipped. The location is ideal for easy access to town either by walking or taking the bus.

  • This was our second ski trip to spend in your home. There could not be a better house to accomidate our needs. We have four families, all with children. The four Master Suites accomidate the adults. We put the girls in the two extra bedrooms with a bath upstairs, and the boys in the two bunk rooms and bath down. The house is so well stocked with everything we need, and the shuttle is so convenient. It's perfect, and we hope to make next year our third visit.

  • Comment Text: This was our third ski week in Wapiti Lodge, and we love the house. It is obvious that it is owned by a family who uses it and cares. It is the best equipped and organized rental house we have ever had. The owners have thought of everything for young and old, skiers and non-skiers. The floor plan is wonderful, with two comfortable seating areas, one for TV, puzzles and games and the other for conversation by the fire. We had 17 family members in the house and never felt like we were tripping over each other. We highly recommend Wapiti Lodge, for comfort and convenience to skiing and the town of Breckenridge. For us it felt like home.

  • Our stay in Wapiti Lodge in early August was spectacular. The setting was perfect, and the amenities couldn't have been better. With 9 adults (up to 90 years old) and 7 kids (from 4mos to 10yrs)from WI, DC, CO, CA, and WA we were absolutely comfortable in every way. We especially appreciated having a beautiful, spacious living room w/no tv, as well as the great family room w/everything the kids could have wanted. And they loved the pool/ping pong table! The hot tub was a big hit w/almost everyone. And Breckenridge was, well, Breckenridge--a great place for a family getaway.

We have 7 small children and 8 adults and your home accomodates us all with room to spare. We all had a wonderful time and appreciate the many things you have done to make the house so comfortable - for big people and for small. We are already planning on a return next year.

  • Our family hailed from OH, MD, TX, OR. We are 19 strong. Wapiti Lodge offered everything we could have wanted. Temps were a bit low in June but that did not stop everyone from hiking, biking and shopping. The house was cozy and comfortable and lacked for nothing. Would definitely recommend it.

  • We absolutely loved the house and had a fabulous time in Breckenridge. The concensus among the group was the pictures did not do the house justice. It was very lovely and well-equipped. The location was perfect, very close to town with a shuttle stop just 50 yards away. We had a group of 8 adults but there was plenty of room for more people. Everything was perfect and we would love to stay again next time we are in the area!

  • We had a wonderful time in your lodge. It worked out perfectly for our family reunion. We had 10 adults and 7 kids ( 3 months to 8 years). We were all comfortable and the house was equipped with everything we needed. We had great space to be together and space to be separate when needed. Thanks for the opportunity to stay in your great house!
