Sunrises are spectacular from the living room, dining room or on your private deck. Nothing blocking your views. At Seagate of Amelia you are living on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Allow the the sounds of crashing waves lull you to sleep.

Our second floor, two bedroom unit has a full kitchen with washer & dryer. Forget the large condos with their partial views from only the decks. No matter where you sit you will be watching the majesty of the ocean, sometimes seeing a pair of Dolphins swim by. Walk only 30 steps down a private walk to the beach. Unit next door may avalible & sleeps four.

Enjoy the Historical re-enactments of Cival War soldiers at Fort Clinch, where the entry to this beautiful nature preserve is 5 minutes away. Stand atop the forts walls and view the enchanting Cumberland Island where wild horses run free over the ruins of the Carnige Mansion.

Take 10 min. drive to Historic Center Street, and walk on the brick and cobblestone paths that pirates traveled on 100's of years before. Browse through the many unique shops, stopping for homemade ice cream or fudge at the corner candy store.

Stroll to the end of town and you will find a small fishing port, where shrimp boats dock. Take a fishing or site seeing charter boat trip or just have lunch watching the island port activity. If golf is more to your liking you can select from the finest golf on the coast. You and your family can spend the day at Amelia Island Plantation and golf at a Tom Fazio, Pete Dye or Bobby Weed designed courses. There is plenty of shopping for designer fashions and dining for all occasions.

If you prefer the untouched natural preserves, you can travel to the South end of the Island past the plantation and go horseback riding on the beach! Cross over the bridge and onto another island and rent kayaks for the afternoon investigating the many marsh inlets.

  • The condo was just as advertised -- just steps to the beach with a great view from the deck. The furnishings were comfortable and pleasant, and the kitchen stocked with all the appliances and utensils needed. Laura was very quick to respond to emails, and clear about how things worked. We plan to return, and would recommend this condo highly.

  • Seagate on Amelia Island was paradise! I was looking for an unexpected last minute vacation retreat to take my sister who lives in Florida and was recovering from a mastectomy. Seagate met and exceeded all of my criteria for the "perfect place"...unobstructed ocean view, quiet, away from crowds, deck where we could just sit and enjoy the view. We watched dolphin frolicking in the ocean every day, were mesmerized by the sea oats dancing on the dunes, easy walk down private boardwalk to the beach, dining on the deck or inside on the lovely breakfast bar in front of the oceanview window. We bought groceries before we arrived and were so content we only left once during the entire stay to pick up a few things. Laura was quite accomodating to our last minute needs. We intend to return to Seagate again in the future to celebrate life and the blessings of living...and of course to return for our daily dolphin spotting activity. Seagate is an easy drive from Jacksonville International Airport. Thanks to Laura for sharing her piece of heaven on earth.

  • Staying at the Seagate was more than a great pleasure! The condo itself was very relaxing, providing every need possible including a fantastic view of the ocean. The location is very central to anything on the island yet the beach seemed uncrowded and peaceful. We have visited Amelia Island for the last 12 years and this condo has been our best experience yet. We definately will want to return next year!

  • The condo was the perfect vacation spot after a hectic school year. We loved the peace, privacy and down-time that the SeaGate offered. The sunrises were breath taking; the ocean calming. We were close to everything and everywhere we wanted to go. I think it is important to note that we found Laura to be very personable and easy to work with. We hope to return again next year.

  • Since we had to cancel our reservations to stay during April, 2009 shortly after we made them, I cannot comment on the accommodations; however, I can comment about how gracious and understanding Laura was in refunding not only the one-half of our rental fee we had already paid, but our deposit, as well, in full. We had a family crisis that precluded us from being able to take vacation, as planned, and her professionalism and kindness did not go unnoticed. I look forward to being able to vacation at Laura's place in the future.

  • We arrived at SeaGate of Amelia on Fernandina Beach, Florida on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. We have been here for more than three weeks with two weeks remaining on our lease (Departure - October 8, 2008. Me and my wife do not want to leave. This vacation has truly been one of the best ever and we have travelled to most of the States, most of the Carribean Islands, Hawaii, and Europe. The beach is one of the nicest ones I've seen along the East Coast and we've seen most of them from MA. to the Keys. The quaint downtown area with its shops and eateries is superb. Laura, the owner, has been most pleasant and easy to talk and deal with. She allowed us to add days at the beginning of the vacation as well as the end at very very reasonable rates. She is a true professional. I recommend the horseback riding with Debbie Manzer; it's an awesome experience. The weather has been very very good with really only two bad days out of the first 23. Fernandina Beach and SeaGate of Amelia has every thing to offer and every thing you need. The rental fee is without a doubt the most reasonable of any where. Just sitting on the deck and reading was most relaxing and calming. If you need a totally stress free experience, I highly recommend SeaGate of Amelia.

  • We had a wonderful time at the SeaGate the view from the deck was amazing. We spend almost as much time there as the beach. We arose every morning before sunrise and drank our coffee and watch the sunrise then walked the beach. A little piece of heaven.

  • Unfortunately, we had to cancel our vacation that we had booked for this condo. The owner was VERY UNDERSTANDING. She only had a few weeks before our arrival, but was able to find a new renter. Generously, she refunded our entire deposit. Laura was wonderful to work with and always responded to my emails. I hope that one day we can make it down to FLA and stay in her condo.
