A perfect vacation getaway located directly across a quiet street from the peaceful Gulf beach at the south end of Manasota Key. Enjoy breakfast in the screened porch followed by a day on any of the lovely Manasota Key beaches or at Stump Pass State Park a short walk away.

The home is turnkey furnished so all you need to do is relax and enjoy everything that the surrounding area has to offer. Manasota Key has numerous delightful restaurants that are a leisurely 15-minute walk up the road.

Englewood is 'Old Florida' No high rises, miles of uncrowded beaches. Great fishing in Lemon Bay or offshore. Golf course abound. Nature Parks and State Parks, Lots of native birds. Osprey, Pelican, Herons and even the occasional Eagle. Arts and Crafts Galleries in the village. All this, and you are close to Shopping Centers in Port Charlotte and Sarasota, Orlanda attractions 2.5 hours, Tampa and Busch gardens just 90 minutes away. 1 hour from Ft. Myers, and 30 minutes from Sarasota.

You will find more peace and quiet here than almost anywhere else in Florida.

  • What a wonderful home w many amenities! The rooms are larger than we anticipated - esp the master bedroom. Great large closets. Scenic backroom. The closeness to the beach is fantastic! Can hear the Gulf at night. There are many brocuhures/travel info for local attractions as well as info on Englewood provided. Will return.

  • Another wonderful vacation! We love this place! The home has absolutely everything a family would need for a wonderful Florida vacation. Check out Stump Pass Park only a two minute walk and you can enjoy the Gulf and the Bay. This home is across the street from my favorite beach in Florida because it's very clean and the seashells and shark teeth are fantastic. We've returned here several times and we will be back.

  • We stayed for the month of May 2009 and had a wonderful time. The property was a real home from home. We just supplied shorts, t-shirts, sandals and food. Everything else was in the property. We were a little concerned when we were booking as we were coming trans atlantic we were worried about arrival times etc but everything was so easy and well organised. The area is lovely especially the uncrowded unspoiled beaches. We really didn't want to leave and come back to gloomy damp England. We will definitely be back

  • Had a great time the month of January. As the previous comments stated, the house was fine and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rental process was very easy. We especially enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the many golf courses in the area. Englewood Beach was a pleasant walk and shopping was very convenient. We definitely plan to come back to the area and would like to come back to the same house again. We had a wonderful experience with everything.

  • This was our third stay in this house, this time for three weeks. The house had been refreshed a bit since our last visit, a nice touch. We love the location and the house fits our needs perfectly. Alec, the rental agent, once again made this a very pleasant and delightful experience. This is indeed a great location to experience "Old Florida" - if you want an unhurried, leisurely vacation, you have found the perfect place.

  • Can't believe how fortunate I was to surf the net and land at your site. We thoroughly enjoyed the week. Location and atmosphere is everything I hoped for. I was trying to avoid the Naples and Cancun set. With everyone friendly, walking, running, biking,shelling, shark-toothing, fishing, sitting, reading...you know what I mean...a place where everyone was enjoying living. Weather was exceptional high near eighty everyday. The house was clean and comfortable. My wife said she would be happy to go back again. Great location!

  • Our second visit to this property, and hopefully not our last. We stayed 2+ weeks and the entire stay was total bliss. Manasota Key and the surrounding area has everything required for an idyllic, relaxing vacation, your own little bit of paradise. The property has all the amenities right there, no need to go anywhere else. The only bad part is having to return to grim reality (work in the tundra). Alec made the rental process totally painless. Two thumbs way up!!!
