Year Purchased: 1999
Greetings. My mother and I have created an environment for mixed generations of fun. Now as a 50 year old business owner, we can welcome reunions of all types. I began visiting the Lake of the Ozarks as an adult in 1982. I kept boats and rented for 18 years before buying property. I boat, ski and kayak a couple of hundred hours per year. So we know the water. We can enjoy larger groups, but need time away to read and re-create. So we have created personal spaces within each of the bedrooms. We're set up for ice cream socials or group prepared dinners served inside or out.
Why the Owner Chose Horseshoebend
The landside part of the lake experience is as important as your time on the water. So both properties are suitable for the executive family with varied interests. Golf, great breakfasts, movies.and groceries must be nearby via paved roads. Staying on a cruiser at a marina, I found just where on the lake you wanted to be. The Lake of the Ozarks is about the people as much as it is about the water. I like boating to listen to bands, have breakfast, and sometimes, just cove out. If you want wilderness, go to the 60+ mile marker.
The Unique Benefits of this House
If fine dining, go carts, lively night life, or a hamburger on a deck are your thing, it's all here. The dock features a diving platform, paddle boat, sun deck and slide (coming this June) for fun. Board games, 40+ movies, and foosball keep the fun going long after sunset. The no-wake, 250 foot lakefront offers great swimming and floating for everyone.

Here we are again for year 3 in your home for our family vacation. We just love it because everyone has thier privacy (bedroom/bathroom)while the open area allows all 12 of us to have meals together and great conversation. This year we celebrate my 60th (can't possibly be) birthday. The entire family is here. Accomomodations, esy walk to the dock, weather & food were great. Our family rented the House for a Spectacular week! The house is wonderful - spacious, welll located, well equiped and well maintained. We tried everything offered at The Lake: rented PWC & Boats over at Glen Cove Marina - Nice people, good equipment: went para-sailing down near the Dam. Played golf at several differant courses - all great. . . but slow, went out with a fishing guide - saw some bueatiful parts of the Lake, but fishing was best in this cove. Caught many bass ranging from 1 - 4.5 lbs. Finally, took family to the water park & Minor Mikes. all - in - all, a great week. Fantastic weather, bueatiful setting. The Millers
