This was a perfect retreat for my family and friends. The kids had a great time fishing off the dock during the day and sitting around the campfire at night. The adults had fun, too! The location is peaceful and the property is gorgeous! The owners have made sure every detail is taken care of and everything you'll need is at your disposal. We definitely intend to make this an annual vacation spot to get away from it all!

My family and I [6 adults & 2 children] just stayed at the cabin for New Year's Eve and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! The property is absolutely fantastic, very well kept up, very clean, very well stocked with blankets, very comfortable and very spacious, with enough room for our large group. The kitchen and family room is AWESOME, with views of the lake and enough room for several people to assist with dinner. At one point we had 3 people assisting with dinner, one of them being my niece, and there was enough room for ALL of us. It was a great way to spend time together. One item we did miss on the main floor great room was a television, but in the same breath not having one there made for a quieter, more intimate environment. If there was a television on the main level then I will bet you it would have been on all the time. If its there next time, we’ll take it, if the main floor great room continues to be television free it will not make the experience any less wonderful. The overall size of the home, the split bedrooms [one on each level] and size of the common areas are GREAT because they allow everyone to be able to do their own thing while also giving us the opportunity to come together and hang out. We did both, sometimes the kids would hang out in a bedroom and watch a movie or play WII by themselves, and other times we were all hanging out on the couches in the downstairs room, under a pile of blankets, watching a movie together or playing a game of WII. Having both options is ideal. My mom was very impressed, and pleasantly surprised, by the level of cleanliness of the property, including dishes, countertops, bathrooms, etc. It was very easy for everyone to feel at home because everything was taken care of just as well as if it were our own home. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and how important that aspect was in terms of making everyone feel immediately comfortable. The home’s proximity to Devil’s Head Ski Resort was also a huge plus, especially since we did spend two of the days we were there on the slopes. We will definitely be back, it was the perfect way to get away while having the luxury of a great home. Thanks for a wonderful experience James, you have a beautiful home!

Weekend Getaway

I just returned from a fantastic weekend at this cabin! The cabin was absolutely beautiful – very clean, new appliances, fabulous wraparound porch with new grill and situated right on the water. We really enjoyed our stay here and are already looking forward to coming back next year. There were 10 of us that stayed in the cabin and were very comfortable – there is plenty of room with three bedrooms, huge basement and plenty of pull out sofas. The lake itself is very charming and perfect for boating or fishing. We rented a pontoon boat for 2 days and loved that we could be on the lake without it being overcrowded. The location couldn’t have been more perfect…there is a cute restaurant not more than 50 feet from the cabin called Fish Tales that has a wonderful fish fry on Fridays and Sunset Harbor Bar and Grill just up the street that is a great little bar. The cabin looked very nice from the pictures and we knew we would have a great time, but it far exceeded our expectations. The house is great and can’t wait to return next summer to Lake Wisconsin!

I almost hate to write about our experience because I selfishly want to be able to return to this cabin whenever we like! The pictures, while nice, don't really do the cabin justice. It is almost new, really clean and well-equipped. We are a family of four with two boys, 9 and 14, and we had more than enough room. We could easily have taken another family of 4-5 and been pretty comfortable. The basement is a big plus with a large family area and large screen TV with surround sound for movies. The lake itself is really charming and the house sits right on the water in a nice bay. While there are quite a few houses on the bay, we never felt like it was crowded. Be aware that there are other cabins right next door (the cabin sits on a small street with several other cabins). We were a little worried when we pulled up that it wasn't as secluded as we would have liked, but the reality was that we rarely saw anyone else and were completely comfortable. We did a guided half day fishing trip on the lake and caught plenty of saugers, pike and crappie to have a wonderful fish fry. While we didn't water ski or jet ski, there were others that were and we will definitely plan to do so on our nest visit. The lake has quite a few stumps, so you just need to be aware and make sure you boat in the right places. We are very picky about places we stay...we really expect it to be clean and comfortable. This cabin exceeded our expectations! Also, make sure to visit some of the surrounding towns. We took a day trip to Spring Green and visited Taliesin, the home of Frank Lloyd Wright. Definitely worth a side trip.
