Summerwind is nestled in the rustic village of Boscobel, St Mary Parrish. Built on a hillside property about a mile from the Caribbean Shore, this home offers unparalleled views of the vibrant sea. Upon arriving, you will find yourself in a secret paradise with Casablanca fans enhancing the fresh warm breezes, surrounded by large windows with screens open to the sea.
The blue hand-stuccoed ceilings mimic the ocean waves and the hand painted mural surrounds you with fanciful tropical plants. Our home was designed with our guests in mind. Each suite measures 16 by 16 feet with individual attached private bathroom/showers- 8 by 12 feet. The great room measures 28 by 36 feet, and opens into the spacious kitchen, creating an open concept living area. There are two lower levels to be completed in the future.
The area is newly developed and still quiet, except for the evening songs from the tree frogs. Stars look as though you can touch them, with or without the mounted telescope. The veranda circles to the back of the home, and is 30 feet above ground level for constant shade and breeze, offering a place for solitude and reflection. Or you may prefer to relax on the sun deck, basking in the warmth of the Jamaican climate.
Experience the real Jamaica through private, custom tours of local attractions and native life by us and our staff. Avoid the commercialism and rush of prepackaged tours.
A full staff can be provided to cook, guide and housekeep for you. There is security on the premises.

You must experience Summerwind to truly appreciate all it has to offer. It is comfortable, spacious, and tastefully decorated. We found it to be the perfect setting to relax and re-connect as a family. The food was delectable! Fresh fish and locally grown fruits and vegetables were expertly prepared in the Jamaican tradition by the cook who always seemed to be smiling! We enjoyed our lively conversations with the owners, Bonnie and Johnny, as they shared their stories and interesting historical information. The personal attention we received could never be duplicated in a larger resort. There are plenty of games, books, and dvd’s, in addition to relaxing on the veranda. James Bond Beach is also nearby (a nice walk or 5 min. drive) Wow, a beautiful and well-maintained facility! There’s plenty of sunny and shady areas to please everyone’s wishes. Food, music, snorkeling, and swimming provide hours of entertainment. We were glad we hired a driver to show us the local surroundings. Bonnie and Johnny helped map out our itinerary. They knew the perfect spots to get great photos. Our driver safely navigated through the narrow streets and up into the hillside. He even stopped at a fruit stand and picked out Jamaican fruits for us to try! This was our first trip to Jamaica. We’re already dreaming about our return visit and look forward to making Summerwind our home away from home!
Owner response:Hi Diane, Your family time with us was a genuine delight. We are looking foward to your next visit to Summerwind to experience more of the wonders that Jamaica offers. All of the time we spend here, we ourselves are still amazed at the new discoveries we find. Thank you for the wonderful photos. We will add them to the website. www.summerwindjamaica.com. Keep warm thoughts while the snow is still falling in the north. Everyday here is 72' to 78' with a Summerwind! Bless! Johnny and Bonnie

We spent three weeks at Summerwind. The location is beautiful and the accomodations are very comfortable. Summerwind is located in a residential neighborhood on a hillside overlooking the north coast. From the veranda you can see the cruise ship leaving Ocho Rios in the evening. We will be staying there again on our next trip to Jamaica.
Owner response:Debbie and Clive, we are excited for your return trip to " Summerwind", We hope you will be able to stay a month. As you know the great weather here is the best the caribbean offers.
