"This was brilliant. To be located next to the ocean, near rivers, mountains and some of the most awesome display of nature was absolutely phenomenal. "We had a great time, Lori. Thank you so much for the hospitality. Usually coming here to visit family is a cramped-up trip, but renting this house made it very nice & comfortable--to be able to come back here after visiting was great. We'll be back definitely!"

"Slept well and loved the sea lion nights and going to Pt. St. George." "The...people [I came with] and I all worked in various ways on the conceptual site plan for your new discard management transfer station, a facility that when fully built out should enable Del Norte County to reduce landfilled waste to near-zero. "We watched the Perseid Meteor shower from your front porch! (With sea lions' barks)...I woke at 4 a.m. and saw 5 more meteors! It was so clear and the stars were so bright! No fog...just for us." "Mark Gorrell also enjoyed."

"First time here, really like the place. Never tire of the redwoods--it's like the living land that time forgot. The weather is perfect. Stars are big & bright. Liked the grub at the Thai House. Sunsets on the beach are boss, boss, boss!! Hope to be back."

"Just wanted to...thank you again for the use of your lovely house. It was a real treat to be on vacation but return to a place that we could consider our home away from home. And the location was everything your website depicted. That is not the kind of scenery we get to see here in Illinois very much...We had a lovely time."

"Beautiful beaches, fantastic views, memorable sunrises and sunsets and close to the redwoods--it doesn't get much better than this!--Except having a cozy, comfy house to come back to at the end of the day. We had a wonderful time in your lovely house. Thanks for the memories."

"Thanks for the house. We enjoyed searching tide pools. We put lots of starfish back in the water." "Amazing combination of Redwoods and ocean. What fun to explore! "Thanks...We had a great time. I was so busy [with a wedding] I didn't get my normal allotment of 'beach time' that I usually get when I visit Crescent City, so it was incredibly nice to at least be able to wake up and go to sleep with the ocean--the view is amazing!"

"My son Kasey loved one of his 1st sunsets out the front window & my teen took 100's of pix. We had a wonderful time & shared some 'quality' time! Loved the lighthouse book, CD player...games, Kleenex (the wind makes your nose run!), xtra blankets & xtra little touches. Looking forward to more sunshine tomorrow, 'agate' beach & the Redwoods! "Hey Standrings! Thanks so much for letting us stay here! We love your beach house. We loved finding rocks at the beach and throwing sticks in the water. We slept warmly and the oven worked great for our dinner. We felt at home! Quotes from the Allens: Renee--Thanks so much for letting us ALL stay here--there was plenty of room for everyone, which is a rarity! The views are great! Cebre--It was SO much nicer to be able to sleep and drive to church when it's only minutes away instead of hours! Terra--This place is so cute! Thanks for letting us stay here. The view was awesome! :) Racer--The upstairs is the best. Also there are couches that fold into beds. James--I liked to have the lightsabers (orange juice straws). "8-26-06 to 8-30-06: Your home was everything you described it to be. Absolutely perfect for our family of four. We really appreciated the break from the Southern CA heat. We loved Jedediah Smith Redwoods, the Jet Boat ride on the Klamath and the herds of free roaming Elk we saw near Orick. The kids loved the beach across the street. We hope to return one day."
