The house is located on the first block of Mott Avenue about a hundred steps from Seabright State Beach and is not on a main road so traffic noise is not a problem. The Santa Cruz Boardwalk and also the yacht harbor are only a few minutes walk from the house. You can also easily walk to several fine restaurants. The pier and downtown Santa Cruz are about a mile away. There is a lot to do within walking distance of the house. First of all you have one of the best beaches in California right outside your doorsteps. Seabright Beach is sometimes called “Castle Beach” by local old timers and is a great family beach. You can swim, bodysurf, beach comb and picnic on the beach. Lifeguards are stationed on Seabright Beach during the peak summer season. At night beach fires are allowed.

Downstairs features an enticing master suite complete with a huge private bathroom with a two-person Jacuzzi brand spa tub and a glass block walk-in shower. It also has a deck with ocean view right outside. A second bedroom also has a private bath that features high end fixtures including the enclosed shower with true rain shower head. High Season - $2450/7 nts, Plus 10% Tax and one time cleaning fee of $128.
Low season (Sept 23, 2009 to May 27, 2010) 2 or 4 nights minimum.
Low season: weekends $325, Weekdays $267, 7-29 nights-$257/night, Monthly $5800
Holiday weeks-Thanksgiving Xmas New Years 4 nights min, other,3 nights, $315/night
All bookings add 10% Tax, cleaning fee of $128. Add 3.9% for credit card payment.
A refundable security deposit of $500 is added to all reservations.

As anyone in the greater bay area can tell you, Santa Cruz offers the warmest and family friendly beaches in northern California with world class surfing and the Santa Cruz Boardwalk - one of the last seaside amusement parks left in the US. Santa Cruz is a wonderful place for young and old.
The Unique Benefits at this Beach House
We love taking afternoon naps while listening to the ocean, birds, and sea lions. We love the sunlight from the many skylights and windows and the ocean views from decks at day and stars at night. We love the walks on the beach and around the neighborhood checking out the many flower gardens. We love eating lunch on the second story deck and having a glass of wine at sunset.

Back in the early 1990s when we lived in the east bay, during many weekends we visited friends in Santa Cruz. We fell in love with the town and it's natural beauty. In 1993 we purchased our Mott Avenue home and spent many weekends there. Recently we purchased another home about a mile away and Mot Ave has become a full time vacation rental.
