This medieval provençal village is on a hill, three kilometers inland from the coast, and is capped by a medieval fortress. There is a beautiful baroque church in the village, many shops and and many nice cafés and restaurants. Nearly all of the streets are for pedestrians only. Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2003

I am from Los Angeles, California. I've lived in France for 24 years and married a frenchman. I am an artist, painter and amateur musician. The apartment has a good small collection of contemporary paintings.

Why the Owner Chose Bormes-les-Mimosas

Bormes is one of the only villages on the Cote d'Azur that is populated even during the winter and Fall. Most of the other pictoresque villages are vacation only and are totally vacant during the off season months. This is a place where there is a stable local population, not just second home people, and this was important to me.

The Unique Benefits of this Apartment, Ancient Building

The spectacular view is always an inspriation. The apartment is well laid out and very comfortable. I go there to "get away from it all".

    • Absolutely beautiful place. For folks from the US, this place is a little hard to find, and parking is a little tricky, but once you get past all that, what a view !! All amenities were functional and new. Very nice place.
