Bormes les Mimosas has recently been selected the "Most Flowered Village of Europe," and is a four-star destination on the Cote d'Azur, the French Riviera. This medieval provençal village is on a hill, three kilometers inland from the coast, and is capped by a medieval fortress. There is a beautiful baroque church in the village, many shops and and many nice cafés and restaurants. Nearly all of the streets are for pedestrians only. The entire village is classified by the French government as a protected site, and visited by many people every year, particularly during the months of the mimosas bloom in February.
This beautiful apartment is in an 18th century building which made up the later ramparts of the village. The apartment has the advantage of being off the beaten tourist path and has drive-up possibility with limited parking. There is an unobstructed view of the ocean and coast line of Cap Benat and the islands of Levant and Porquerolles, and is three kilometers from the most beautiful beaches on the coast in the Var district. Saint Tropez is 30 minutes by car. The Bay of Breganson, where President Chirac has his summer residence, is the local beach with parking. Bormes is four hours from Paris by TGV fast train via Marseille.
The apartment has three spacious rooms, is 60 square meters (646 square feet) and is very charmingly furnished with some antiques and and is fully-equipped. There is a new queen-size bed in the bedroom. The new couch in the living room converts to a double bed. This living room can be closed off to become the SECOND BEDROOM and has two windows with beautiful ocean views. There is a large NEW KITCHEN with an oven + 4 burners, dishwasher and refrigerator, with an amazing view from a large door window with balcony. The bathroom also has a view and is equipped wth a shower, sink, and toilet. The electricity has recently been redone throughout. A new washing machine is installed. Heating is electric. |
