It was perfect for the 9 of us. Loved the pool. After a long day at Disney the kids and adults headed straight to the pool. Would certainly stay there again.

Hi Steve, To reiterate what I have already let you know by email (!) we had a wonderful time in your home and are so pleased we chose yours, it was perfect. The house was a great layout which suited us and our extended family. The pool was lovely and always so warm, so much warmer than expected for a February holiday. The games room was great, the little books for our toddler also went down a treat. The beds were all SO comfortable (better than our own at home!) and all rooms so well appointed. The kitchen was very well stocked, we wanted for nothing. And what a lovely surprise that you supplied beach towels - I was planning on buying some cheap ones from Wallmart when we arrived but there was no need. We didn't need much of the baby equipment in the end but for others reading these reviews; there were 2 pack n' plays (travel cots as we call them in the UK), 4 strollers, 2 highchairs, and child safety gates. There was even little swim jackets and inflatables for the pool. Oh, and we were very grateful for the rear safety door alarm and child safety fence on the pool as it gave us such peace of mind for our toddler. Really I could not fault this place. I'm sure we'll be back! Many thanks for everything (including your patience as I must have asked a million questions before and after our reservation!!) All the best, Charlotte

My husband, daughter and I stayed in House Mickey for one week during the month of February. My daughter is a little over 2 years old. We think she love the house more than anything else we did. We loved the house. It was just beautiful. The owner was very friendly and easy to work with as well. When it was time for us to leave the house, we wish we would of booked for a longer period. We will stay here again on our next trip to Disney.

We have rented from VRBO several times. Usually things are not as nice or large as they look online but this house was just as described. This is the best VRBO house we have stayed in hands-down. It was GREAT! Comfortable beds and plenty of room for us to stretch out, which was great since half of us came down with the flu on our vacation. (Boo!!!) It was so nice to have a home away from home. We really appreciated the book with local information in it. No one plans to be sick on vacation and it was so nice to have a recommended place to go see a doctor. The place was clean, the pool and spa were fabulous, the game room was great. There were so many extras that we appreciated, like the nearly new high chair and pack n play. There was also a bunch of strollers left in the hall closet--we just brought one and needed two so we appreciated that. We did have an issue with a slow tub drain in one of the bathrooms. I emailed the property manager and owner just to give them a head's up. It totally wasn't a big deal and I told them they could wait until we were gone but they had someone there to fix it that day! GREAT service. The house is nicely decorated--my three year old daughter was in HEAVEN in the princess room. She cried when we left because she didn't want to leave "her new room". I had to promise her I'd paint her room at home to ease her pain. She has not forgotten. The community was great--it was easy to check in at the front gate and it was so nice to have that extra security. The property was just a few minutes from Disneyworld. Not sure you could really get closer without staying on site. The house was absolutely perfect for our party (We had 4 adults and 4 kids) and we look forward to renting again! How to start this review? Do I start with how wonderful the owner is or how great the house is? Let me start with Steve. We originally planned a trip for November of 2011 as a party of 7 with kids and grandparents in tow which is why we needed so much space. We booked everything and were ready to go. In October my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and needless to say the trip was canceled at the last minute. I contacted Steve and he was so kind. He sent my deposit back and told me if he could rent out our week he would send me a complete refund and if not, we were paid up for whenever we wanted to reschedule. After a long 7 months I got in touch with Steve and told him we were ready to plan our trip. He was so accommodating and all around a great homeowner to deal with. He provided such thorough information about the house, the area, etc. Now for the house. The house is beautiful and immaculate and looks exactly like the pictures if not better. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and not be on top of each other. We rented a crib and stroller and the whole process was so easy in terms of delivery to the home. The location is very close to the parks and Steve left instructions for a back way that avoided all of the traffic. Overall the entire experience was great and I would not hesitate to recommend this house!

Awesome Home

Thanks to the Hennessey family for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home. The pictures are exactly what the house looks like. The home is beautifully kept and has all the necessities you would need and it even comes with Beach Towels if you plan on going to the beach. Cocoa Beach is about an hour away and is an easy drive from the house - well worth the trip. The beds were so comfortable - I am buying the same mattress within the next few months. The pool and the jacuzzi were awesome and relaxing after a full day at the parks! I can't express enough how much we loved this home and will definitely be staying here next time we are in Florida.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our vacation in Florida. The house was large and spacious and plenty of room for ALL!! The home had a wonderful decor. HouseMickey was just minutes away from the Theme Parks, Downtown Disney, shopping and Restaurants. And after a busy day on the go the pool and hot tub were a great treat to come home to. We liked the very secure gated community, and our family enjoyed the exercise facilities and playground the clubhouse provided. Many thanks.

We spent 10 days at this home in October 2012... it was exactly as described... clean, well maintained, well decorated and furnished. Owner was provided much useful advice on the neighbourhood and the Orlando area. Would highly recommend staying here

We have never rented thru VRBO before, and were a little apprehensive. House Mickey far exceeded are expectations. Steve, the owner was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. The house was clean, spacious, and amazing for the group of 12 we had. We had such a blast enjoying the beautiful pool, entertainment room, etc. What an amazing vacation. We would highly recommend this home to everyone and anyone we know, and will definately stay here again. :)

Housemickey was a wonderful vacation rental for our entire family! Everyone had their own space and the pool out back was perfect as with the community pool which everyone loved in my family. The kids loved the game room also. The furnishings were very nice and the home was maintained and taken care of extremely well. My only negative was the lack of a few small items such as toliet paper, hand soap, and kitchen garbage bags. I realize that everyone must not be able to be trusted with these items and they must take them but it was slightly insane to me that we had to purchase toliet paper. I understand food, even salt and pepper, but this seemed extreme. Maybe it's just the Florida rental market way. Anyway, the home was great nonetheless. Just know you must pack everything or go shopping and then be prepared to leave things you can't travel with for the benefit of the maid. Other than this - the house, stay, location was great! You are steps away from Disney, Sea World, Universal, etc.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

And yes, you are correct, we provide some starter supplies of toilet paper and soap but these items are not typically provided with the rental homes in this area for the entire stay of a guest. This was a wonderful venue for a family Christmas and New Years Reunion. Although the weather got much cooler, having a heated pool and jacuzzi was much appreciated-especially by the little ones. This is one of the best equipped homes we have ever rented. We appreciate the thought that has gone into it. It is also a great design with everyone having their own space. Thanks for having it spotless and ready for our use. We will certainly recommend it to our Canadian Snowbird friends.

Your towels were sooo soft that my husband asked me to find out the brand (which I learned from the tag), and I must say the beds were wonderful. Hi Steve, Just wanted to let you know that we had a remarkable time staying in your beautiful home. Wow what a treat, or retreat!!! We all LOVED the house and everything that made our stay the best ever. The home is not only beautiful but so comfortable as well. I smiled as the kids woke up the first morning and all of them said things like “I love this house, that was the best night sleep ever!” The home was everything that you promised it would be. We had so much fun on our vacation and to be able to come back to the house and relax in the pool and hot tub was so very enjoyable. I had to laugh as everywhere we went our 5 year told everyone that she met “We have a pool in our back yard!!” I think that made her year. I know that we all loved the thoughtful touches to the house, like the softness of the towels, and having plenty of them, to the beautifully decorated rooms. My 14 year old daughter fell in love with “her” bedroom and now wants me to find a bedspread and furniture like that. I know that my husband and I both slept peacefully knowing that the house had an alarm and that the community was gated. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We did however feel that House Mickey needed a griddle for cooking up pancakes so we purchased on and left it there for future guests to enjoy. Thanks again for helping us to have so many happy memories on our dream Disney Vacation, Carolyn and Family

Hi Steve, We just got home from a wonderful vacation! Thanks so much for letting us rent your beautiful home! My girls loved the princess bedroom and the game room kept them nice and busy in the morning as we got ready to head to the parks. The weather was a little chilly but that didn't bother the kids at all. They were swimming in the pool when it was 50 degrees! Hi Steve, This is a long overdue note to thank you once again for the wonderful stay in House Mickey, otherwise known in our family as "House Awesome"! The house is gorgeous and was pleasing to everyone. We loved the hot tub, grill, internet access, comfortable bedding, etc. The kids were thrilled with the theme rooms, the pool, games, etc. I also appreciated the quick response by you and the management company when there were questions. Steve, Just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our week in Florida. The house couldn't have been more perfect. My family agreed no more hotels, this is the only way to go. The bedrooms were big and roomy and plentiful and my grandson loved his Mickey room. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the pool everyday. It was great to come home to a home and not 2 beds and a bathroom and sharing a pool with a 100 other people. Thanks again for making our trip perfect. Sue

Hi Steve Just wanted to drop you a line now we are back home in the UK after our holiday in your fabulous house. We all thought your house was absolutely beautiful, so well furnished with every comfort thought of. The location was amazing and the gorgeous swimming pool and spa very welcome after long days at the theme parks. The management company was excellent too. We had a slight problem with the pool heating one day but it was sorted out within two hours! I can honestly say that it is the best house we have ever stayed in and next time we come to Orlando we would not even consider staying anywhere else. I would also like to thank you for making the booking process etc so easy and answering all my questions patiently. If I can put a reference on any of the sites your house is on, please let me know and I would be delighted to do so. Hey Steve, I just want to thank you for letting us use your home while vacationing in Florida. We had the most amazing time there! Our grandchildren absolutely loved your home & pool. They could’ve stayed there the whole week & would’ve been very happy. We’ve had several people ask for your information after hearing about our vacation. It is a beautiful place to stay & you feel very safe there with all of the security. I hope everything was left in the condition that we found it. We were trying very hard to be respectful of all of your things. We are already planning another vacation there with ALL of our children; our oldest son & his family could not be with us this time. The house was awesome. I was very worried about the cleanliness of a house that you know nothing about. We were all pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. The pool was wonderful, especially with all the guarding for infants and toddlers as we had several. (This was the 3rd trip in 3 years - the other 2 we stayed on Disney property and will opt for a house instead in the future.) GREAT HOUSE = GREAT VACATION!!!!

Hi Steve, We returned from our Disney trip last weekend and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed House Mickey. Your house was beautiful and everything was in place and working as expected. Unfortunately for us, we got to experience record rainfall in Florida and we didn't have a chance to use the pool nearly as much as we would have liked. We were very glad that we had a house to stay at though instead of being in a hotel room. :) We will be recommending House Mickey to our friends and family. Hi Steve! My family and I have just returned from our Disney vacation and I wanted to write to you about your house. It was fantastic!!! We could not have been more pleased when we walked in to the house. It is beautiful and you have done a great job with the furnishings. We actually spent one of the days never leaving the house. We enjoyed the pool and the game room was a huge hit with the kids! My family has now informed that they only want to stay in your home now whenever we go back to Disney! No more hotel rooms for us. Your house was tremendous. Thank you again for being so easy to deal with and I hope to rent from you again in the future.
