"Best location on the lake" This home offers the best of both worlds: solitude and privacy within walking distance of lodge, mercantile, post office and ranger station. Located in the Olympic National Forest on South Shore Road, the cabin has an unobstructed view and access to the lake, as well as forest trails in back.
This is the perfect home base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula--one of the most beautiful and unique places in the country. Drive around the lake. Spend an afternoon at the ocean, 30 miles away. The lake is owned by the Quinault Nation; dedicated to maintaining a pristine environment, boating is thankfully limited to small motor boats and people-powered boats. Eagles and osprey fish in the area in front of the cabin.
Very large downstairs bedrooms:front room with queen-size bed and back bedroom has two trundle beds (4 singles). The loft has a queen-size futon overlooking the lake, and the "secret room" has a single bed and youth mattress (kid central--packed with old wooden toys). Living room futon/couch converts to a double bed.
No phone or cell phone access or television. (Life in the quiet lane.) Many, many books, including ones on birding, mushroom identification, hiking trails, and local activies. Binoculars, games, puzzles, packed with kid friendly toys. VCR with 100+ videos. Radio/cassette/CD player.
Seventeen foot canoe, single Loon river kayak, and life vests. Boat launch and swimming area across the street.

$1250/week.
Refundable security deposit $100 and cleaning deposit $50.
