Located in one of the only five (5) blue zones in the world,every feature of this home was designed to give its owners and guests the very best that Costa Rica has to offer.
Getting to Tropical Palace is a breeze. Simply fly into the capital city of San Jose. From San Jose you have three (3) options. We can arrange for land transportation (driver & van) to our home (3.5 hour scenic drive which includes a cool ferryride across the bay to watch the whales play!) or a commercial flight on either Sansa or Nature Air (30 minute flight). For "Rock Star" service, we can also arrange for a charter flight from San Jose to our home on your own plane that flies on your schedule!
Located behind the 24 hour manned guard gate of Tango Mar Resort, Tropical Palace provides a quiet and private escape from the busy world. Many movie/film celebrities and sports stars have called Tropical Palace home and enjoyed the private pristine crescent-shaped beach and multi-level pool with its natural waterfall.
Tango Mar's luxurious 9 hole par 3 course meanders through acres of tropical rain forest. If you're looking for an 18 hole challenge, Los Delfines Country Club is a short 15 minute drive away. There's even a casino at the Barcelo Resort next door!
As you enter Tropical Palace, you'll marvel at its unique entry. Flanked by another natural waterfall and landscaped courtyard filled with indigenous plants from the area, you'll cross a hand-carved teak bridge to the front door and enter a home that has every ammenity one could ask for.
Eight (8) bedrooms are spread throughout the four (4) levels of the home. All are large master suites with king beds, luxurious bathrooms filled with spa tubs, walk-in showers and decks overlooking the Pacific Ocean. No guest will feel short-changed because all of the bedrooms are master suites!
One (1) bedroom is a separate suite with kitchen and living area which is perfect for your nanny, pilot or as a kid's room. This separate suite has a king bed and pull-out sofa (queen).
All bedrooms and living areas offer the latest in audio/visual components. From big screen TV's to satellite TV to CD/DVD/VCR players (yes English speaking channels!), you're never far away from your favorite TV and music choices. Additionally, Internet access is available! There is also a free Vonage phone to call home (or the office if you must!).
The full-time staff of Tropical Palace has been there since the home was built. Their sole goal is to make your stay at Tropical Palace one that you will remember for a long time. A dining plan is available that includes a cook and food servers. We also have a 14 passenger air-conditioned van and driver available for a nominal charge for your entire stay. Our concierge will help you set-up all of your tours. The most popular are zip-lining, surfing, surf horse-back riding, snorkeling and of course, fishing! (some of the largest marlins have been caught right off our shores!). Take a tour every day or simply relax by the beach-front pool and read a great novel.
Our rates start at $2,150/night and with a group of eight (8) couples, that works out to less then $270 per night! Tropical Palace has played host to many weddings, family reunions and group events. Additionally, for larger groups the two (2) beach front homes on either side of Tropical Palace can be rented, too! Our home and staff are well-equipped to handle even the most discriminating groups!
