We booked this beautiful home for my daughter's 23rd birthday. We live in Western Washington but had never been to the Quilcene Bay area. There were five of us, my husband, self, daughter, niece and her husband and we stayed two nights in May 2012. Upon arrival, we were all taken back by the beauty of the property and the gorgeous 3 story cabin. The home is gorgeous, confortable and everything we read about and more. The master bedroom on the top floor would be a great place to watch a storm and stay cozy :0). The main floor is perfect for a group with the back deck stretching across the entire home and facing the beautiful wood hillside to the private beach. The path to the beach was, for me, as beautiful as the beach itself. and oh....don't forget the hot tub in the front. It sits right under an old growth maple so the view up, is fantastic! This place is private, relaxing and had everything we needed to enjoy our long weekend. The owners were fantastic to work with as we planned for the date and have a ton of local tribal knowledge that they share generously. Our guests were forever grateful for the experience and from our first step onto the property began telling us that they were definitely, coming back. Highly recommended for a beautiful and quiet get away. I suspect, we will be back :0)

We almost hate to tell you how great this place is because we'd love to have it all to ourselves, but truth be told, you won't regret staying in this amazing, beautiful, and secluded cottage. It's well appointed with all the conveniences you might want, while still feeling like a remote wilderness retreat. We've been coming back here for several years now because we love the great location, the wood cabin feel, and the comfort provided by all that the home offers. The bedrooms are beautiful, each a good size with amazing views of the bay. For us there's nothing better than cozying up with a good book in front of a fire in the wood stove, especially after an evening dip in the hot tub outside under the stars. With several decks perfect for relaxing, a couple of BBQs, an amazing beach, and lots of great hikes just a short drive away, there is no shortage of things to do. Our next visit will be with our new baby, so we're excited to finally get to use the wonderful play areas, both indoors and out. Our son is still a bit young for the outdoor ropes course (how cool is that?), but there's lots of other fun stuff to do for kids of any age. This is truly a one-of-a-kind get-away!

My family and I were some of the first guests to take advantage of this amazing property! We love everything about it! We have been back twice!! From the quiet, tranquil setting to the endless opportunities for recreation, we love it all. Brad and Martha were so nice to work with. We made it my birthday getaway every October. It was our tradition to bring pumpkins, carve them and leave them at the hideaway for others to enjoy every year! I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a wonderful, secluded experience! We will definitely be back to visit! Thank you Martha and Brad!

I have stayed at this incredible property 3 times now, and although I've gotten a taste of a fair number of other vacation rentals in the area, this one is far and away my favorite and will always hold a special place in my heart. You absolutely cannot beat what you get for the price: Swimming, boating, wildlife viewing, grilling, climbing through the trees, beach-combing, chilling on the deck or in a hammock, cooking gourmet meals, playing games, relaxing in the hot tub, day tripping to the mountains, star-gazing, crabbing, and with enough space to do it with 15 of your favorite people, not to mention your furry friends. There truly is something for everyone here, and Brad and Martha have added touches to the house and property that will make you feel instantly at home. Each time we go we make a point of introducing the space to someone new because part of the fun is seeing someone enjoy it for the first time. Showing it off makes me proud to be a native Northwesterner. If all that's not enough to convince you to stay, proceeds benefit an animal shelter. We can't wait for next time!

We've stayed on several occasions now with our entire family, small kids and dogs as well as a few friends here and there and we can't recommend this house enough! The house and surroundings are beautiful and there is so much to do here - the pictures just don't do justice! Our kids love the ropes and hot tub and we love the quiet of the area. The seals come out every day and bark at each other on the floating docks and there is plenty of property to explore. It's just a very cozy atmosphere perfect for a family gathering. We had Thanksgiving here and cooked up a storm in the stocked kitchen and spread out in the large dining room. The owners are super accommodating to work with and have made the place a very special experience.

Our family of 5 (plus one very small dog) stayed at this hideaway in early September. We loved everything about it! They were more than accommodating in providing bicycles, directions, suggestions for places to go and things to do! The home was well supplied for cooking, relaxing, playing games, and enjoying nature. We took advantage of all the amenities! It was the perfect way to get-away from it all and still be close enough to Olympic National Park, Sequim, Port Townsend, and Port Angeles to enjoy day adventures. This place was a fabulous surprise and we would gladly stay there again. Thanks to the owners, Brad and Martha, for making our 30th anniversary get-away one that we will never forget!

We have been to a lot of rental homes/cabins and staying at this home has been by far our favorite experience. We've stayed about 4 times now. When we dreamed up a place to get away to, this was it in reality. It had everything we were looking for-seclusion, a great view, wildlife in the area, games, books, a hot tub, peace and quiet. The owners put so many special touches on the place too and it has such a relaxing decor to it and it's so clean. Lots in the area to explore around too or you can stay right there and pretty much everything you need is there. We like walking down to the water and up the driveway at night for exercise. I wish I had that driveway at home to do the same each night. It's perfect for any age group too, it has a little something for everyone. Great setting for romance, meditation, relaxing, fun; you name it. It really is an amazing place. I love that the profits go towards animals too.
