  Our family of rented the house for JMU Graduation weekend. The house had everything we needed and we loved it. Our only regret that with all the graduation activities we did not get to spend enough time there. Harold was most helpful with all our request. He came over Saturday night to show us how to ride the horses and stayed till we felt comfortable ridding them. He came back an hour later to help us start the grill. The house has fantastic views and in case you are a bird lover, you can see all kinds of beautiful birds coming to the bird feeder. Thank you Harold for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely come back.

  We truly enjoyed our staying at Reddish Ridge. The owner has been very kind as well as his horses. The house was very clean and nice outdoor Jacuzzi was a plus! We definitely look forward to coming back!

  Our family had a wonderful time at Reddish Ridge. The house was beautiful, roomy and very clean. The property was gorgeous. The owner spent a lot of time showing my college-age children how to saddle up the horses and gave much attention to our friend who had never ridden before. Our only disappointment is that we didn't have more time! Thank you Harold for a great family weekend, we are all hoping to come again soon!

  I was such a pleasure to stay a Reddish Ridge. It was the perfect location for all we had planned to do. The pictures of the property only gave a glimpse of how beautiful the house, property and views really are. The owner answered all our questions about where to eat and things to do in the local area. I would recommend Reddish Ridge to anyone who enjoys horses and tranquil mountatin view. My daughter and I loved the opportunity to ride horses while my husband and son enjoyed the golf chipping/driving area. We chose Reddish Ridge because of it central location for the activities we wanted to enjoy (Luray Caverns, Natural Bridge and Cass Scenic Railroad, WV), In the evenings we enjoyed a relaxing soak in the hot tub or a rousing game of pool. Thank Harold for a wonderful Virginia vacation.

  Our family (6 adults and 2 children) really enjoyed staying at Reddish Ridge. We took several day trips, rode the horses, and finished the days out relaxing in the hot tub. The house is furnished nicely and laid out very well. We were able to enjoy meals on the deck and playing pool while having our individual space when needed. I would definitely recommend Reddish Ridge!

  We came for a kind of family reunion in Staunton with plenty of plans for side trips. While we did a few, we enjoyed being at Reddish Ridge equally and spent a lot of time enjoying the view from the back deck. Room for several simultaneous activities in the house, and plenty of options for hiking nearby. Or just sittin' and sippin'. We enjoyed it very much.

  "What a View" from the large rear deck! We had a wonderful stay in the quiet restful country side of Virginia. Horseback riding, soaking in the hot tub, playing billiards & visiting the town have made this one complete week. Leon & Sheila. Our stay were was TOP SHELF, from the view, all the things to do in the house. The best part of our stay was your honest hospitality and your generous amount of time spent with Karen & Chris with the horses. Thanks! Jim & Chris. WOW! What a great place! The view alone is worth the price of admission. During the entire week we never tired of that. I have stayed at many VRBO locations, several of which I have rated 5 stars, so this place I would have to rate 6 stars. It's private, clean and provisioned better than any other. My wife and her sister loved the horses, I loved the pool table & biking on the beautiful back roads in Virginia. The hot tub was a real asset after cycling 20 miles. The owner/host is committed to providing a great experience for his guests. We really appreciated his gracious hospitality. Roger & Karen, Gainesville, Florida

  We stayed at Reddish Ridge during our 20th College reunion for Mary Baldwin. It was the 2nd time we stayed at the house, having stayed here for our 15th, 5 years ago. Our group consisted of friends from the class of 1992 as well as friends from two other classes. We had all traveled from across the country: Philadelphia,Florida,Memphis,TN.,Norton,Va.and Columbus,OH. We loved the beautiful views,the horses, the hot tub and just having the space to spend time together catching up. Thank you so much and see you in 5 years ! !

  Our party of nine people very much enjoyed three days stay at this property. The views are really great in all directions. The place is very well secluded providing a great deal of privacy. There are plenty of things to do in surrounding area as well as in Staunton, which only 15 minutes ride. We are going to come back to the place in the summer.

  This has been such a relaxing stay for our family! The house has everything we could need and more. Almost every evening all 7 of us piled into the hot tub on the back deck for some star gazing. Two of us had such as amazing experience on the horses that was lead by Harold. He took a large part of his afternoon to saddle them and teach us proper horse riding techniques. As for the VIEW, my sister in law said it best "This is the best view from sitting on a couch that I can imagine!" That all being said, we loved our stay and will be passing the word along to our friends.
