Whether an organized half or full day guided tour or an adventure on your own, Puerto Viejo offers a wide variety of local area tours and attractions. Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2000
My very first trip to Costa Rica was on a cruise. The port of call was Limon, and I was so impressed, I thought if I ever retire, Costa Rica would be the place I'd want to call home. When I finally did retire, I moved to Costa Rica and fell in love with the Caribbean coast. I purchased land in Puerto Viejo and eventually built Casa del Zorro. I hope you love the area, and enjoy my home, which I happily share with you.
Why the Owner Chose Puerto Viejo
The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica is so rich in diversity with miles of unspoiled and uncrowded beaches. While certainly not remote and isolated, it is refreshing to visit a coastline that is unmarred with high-rise hotels and all-inclusive resorts. The area is stunningly beautiful, and the people are very friendly and helpful.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Staying in a private home is so much better than checking into a hotel that you may not be familiar with. And the house is so close to the beach as well as to the stores, restaurants, and shops. It is literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the center of town.

We have returned from our trip to Puerto Viejo and adjusting back into life in the real world. We had a wonderful time. We loved the house and the location. We would like to do it again next year. Are you interested in renting the house again next year?
