I am so happy we found this place! Myself, husband and two young children (ages 2 & 4) stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect for us. We came to Chicago for the Festival of Lights Parade. We were just a brief walk off Michigan Ave. We never took a cab the entire weekend. We were able to walk to all of our favorite places. We have stayed in condos in a few different states and this by far made us feel the most at home. It was super clean and nicely decorated. It didn't feel like random leftovers of decor were thrown together. The view was amazing and the kids loved being up that high. We were even able to watch a great fireworks display! It had everything we could have needed. It was ready to "live" in. Traveling with young kids means we usually have to purchase extra things at our destination. Here, we didn't have to. The small details like kleenex in every room and nightlites, made it wonderful! The owners were very friendly and made sure we were happy. We will certainly stay here again. I am thinking of coming for a girl's weekend soon! I can't say enough about this great place!

This was a Perfect getaway location. Close to everything. The condo was everything as advertised. The views were incredable, and the condo was very clean and up to date. The owners were very helpful with all kinds of information. Would love to come back in the summertime to enjoy the pool and other downtown attractions. My only draw back was the 10:00 checkout, made it a bit rushed to get out. Would have been nice if it could have been a 12:00 checkout.

After several visits to Chicago staying at a number of hotels our stay at 30 E Huron was by far the best. Unlike some rental properties equiped with the bare minimum such as glassware, dishes, flatware, etc, this penthouse contains an abundance of everything needed for a small dinner party. Just provide your own food and drink. We will never book a hotel in Chicago again without checking availabilty at 30 E Huron first. Jim and Jeri-Lou made our experience hassle free.

You cannot find a nicer place to stay. The condo is beautiful, well equiped, amazing view, great location, parking included, need I say more. I would not hesitate to recommend this condo. This was our 3rd trip back to the same condo and it won't be our last. Jim & Jeri-Lou attended to our every need.

We stayed for 3 nights in this terrific condo. A stunning view and the best location in Chicago. We walked everywhere, Millenium Park, fabulous restaurants, The Chicago Theatre. Jim and Jeri-Lou are excellent hosts. We are already planning our next visit.

Very nice, comfortable condo in high rise condo just off of Michigan Ave. Perfect locale! In addition there is a Trader Joes and Starbucks two short blocks away, a bar/resturant right around the corner and a deli within steps!. The elevators are a bit slow so it takes awhile to go up and down. Pool deck is beautiful with many grills available. Workout room is adequate, nothing special. The condo did not have a washer/dryer so you need to go to pay laundry room to wash clothes, slight hassle. Owners are great and very interested in making your experience seemless. Highly recommend condo!

This is a great condo, very cozy, wonderful views, beautifully furnished and well appointed with all the extras (even a champage stopper!) We were very pleased with the accomodations and will stay again! The bed was comfortable and the furnishings were very nice, we felt very comfortable and at home, it had everything we needed.

Thanks Jerilou and Jim for a wonderful four days in your apartment. We coudn't have asked for a better base in Chicago. Really close to Michigan Avenue and within easy walking distance of all the tourist areas we wished to visit. The apartment had everything we needed with easy access to grocery and restaurants. Instructions supplied prior to our trip made it simple to find it and obtain access. All door staff were very helpful mwith any queries we had. Fox and Obel deli and grocery store near Navy Pier, although a little expensive, had some of the best varieties of salads I have come across and their antipasto salad was to die for......great with a good glass of red! The stained glass museum at Navy Pier is also worth a look. If anyone is looking for a great place to stay and enjoy Chicago then I would certainly recommend your apartment.

Excellent condo - location was perfect - what a view -could walk anywhere downtown, shops, Navy Pier, Chicago Architecure Foundation Boat Tour. Many good restaurants close by. The condo was very well appointed with all the little items which made you feel at home. Jim and Geri Lou were very helpful with directions to condo,sight seeing ideas,local grocery stores and restaurants. Would definitely refer this accommodation to friends or relatives.

This condo is wonderful! The listing description and photos are quite accurate, but don't compare to how lovely it is when you walk through the door and see the views from every window in person. The owners, Jim and Jeri-Lou, provided detailed instructions, which made everything clear and stress-free. We highly recommend this property and look forward to our next stay.

I would highly recommend this property and hope to return. Jeri-Lou and Jim were very helpful and the apartment was fully equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable and the apartment was more spacious than we had thought it would be. The views are incredible - we especially liked being able to see Lake Michigan as well as the beautiful Chicago Skyline. The fireworks at Navy Pier were a bonus view. The location couldn't be more perfect.

We spent 3 nights during July - 2 adults and 2 kids. We loved the views, the location and having a kitchen. Jim and Jeri Lou were very helpful as well. I've already recommended this unit to friends and we'll definitely try to stay here again the next time we're in Chicago.

WE had a great weekend in the city at the condo at 30 Huron. The owners had sent out perfect directions and all the city info and made it really easy to get in and out. Loved the views and also had a great time on the rooftop deck and by the pool! The condo was immaculate and perfectly updated and sleek so made our stay very comfortable and fun. We hope to make it a yearly outing and may try another of the Friedkin properties!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chicago and this rental was one of the best I have stayed in yet! We definitely recommend staying here. The location cannot be beat! You are within walking distance to all the hot spots Chicago has to offer. We only used our car once or twice while we were there to visit some of our friends that did not live in the immediate area and to eat at one of our favorite restaurants in Lincoln Park. The views are spectacular! I often found myself wanting to stay in the condo and just enjoy the views! The pictures on this site are well reflective of the actual unit. The owners made sure the unit was well stocked with little necessities... sometimes it's those little things that make a big difference and here, it surely did! We loved enjoying the pool and outdoor cooking area. Great for the kids. The owners were very responsive to our emails and made sure all our needs were met promptly. We hope to stay here again in the future and highly recommend this rental to anyone thinking about visiting Chicago! :)

I would highly recommend this condo. It has all the small touches of home and is fabulous to stay at. Walking distance to stores, museums, Navy Pier and much more make this the perfect spot to stay. The staff are very helpful and cordial. The pool and patio/grill area is spacious and very well maintained.

This condo location is just perfect for enjoying all the activities Chicago has to offer. Within short walking distance of the Magnificent Mile (2 blocks), in the middle of a mix of wonderful restaurants, and with a spectacular view of Lake Michigan and the Navy Pier, our group of 4 women recently returned for a 2nd visit. Catch the water taxi to Navy Pier and then hop over to Grant Park, the Shedd Acquariam, Field Museum, and planetarium. We can't wait until our next trip and will definately book with Jim and Jeri-Lou again and again. They are gracious hosts. Thanks for an unforgetable visit.

We had a wonderful stay at your condo. It was better than the photos on the website. First class apartment for a reasonable rate. The view was fantastic. Comfy bed and aerosleeper sofa. The aerosleeper was probably more comfortable than my own bed. Nothing missing in the unit. Completely stocked with everything you could possibly need, spices, cooking utensils, appliances, paper products, cleaning products, the list is endless. Loved Whole Foods! Just a couple blocks west on Huron. Trader Joe's is also just as close, but didn't manage to shop there. Loved the Italian deli downstairs L'Appetito. They make the best Tostinis. Gotta try them! Tenants were very friendly. We were with our 3 year old son. Although the unit is better suited for a couple, we managed to make it work. We had ample room to sleep. I spent three weeks at Jim and Jeri-Lou's excellent high-rise rental. while working on a project in Chicago, and found the unit and the owners to be very amiable. The place is spacious and nicely furnished with a knockout view of Lake Michigan and a panorama of classy skyscrapers, viewed through wall-to-wall windows. The unit has all the amenities one could wish for, including a humungous fifty-inch television set. The WiFi was particularly a boon,enabling me to keep in touch on my computer.and get some work done. My daughter came for a four-day stay and found the condo "awesome," in her words. Getting around on public transportation was a cinch, the nearby restaurants offered a variety of fares in a reasonable price range, and there were a lot of interesting things to do within walking distance, such as visiting the two nearby cathedrals, or riding the ferris wheel at the Navy Pier. Subway trains a couple of blocks can bring one to the city's old ethnic neighborhoods--or anywhere, including the airport. The owners, Jim and Jeri-Lou, were pleasant to deal with, and offered help and suggestions where they were needed. I can heartily recommend this rental to anyone wanting an enhanced stay in Chicago.

We stayed there for a week, for a quiet relaxing getaway, and EVERYTHING was perfect. Such a beautiful view in any kind of weather, from the unit. Walking distance to everything made it so convenient, you don't even need a car. The location, cleanliness, and security of the building was great. We cannot recommend this highly enough!! You will not be disappointed.

My family and I were thrilled with the beautiful views, the wonderful location, the lovely neighborhood, and the hospitality of the other residents. The deli on the corner is fantastic! Everything you could want-from groceries to fine dining, shopping, great breakfast (Tempo on Chestnut!) is a short walk away. After a long day of sight -seeing, it was so great to be able to unwind in the beautiful condo, overlooking the city. We had a fantastic trip, and highly recommend this fabulous property. Jim and Jeri-Lou could not have been more pleasant or easy to deal with!

We loved everthing about the apartment: location, space, views, the neighborhood; all was a perfect! The photos and discription were accurate; the apartment and building were very clean and well maintained and had a doorman. We felt very safe, secure and comfortable there. I would absolutely book this apartment again and I highly recommend it. My cousin & I were there just for fun; we enjoyed many of the museums and saw "Million Dollar Quartet" which is a fantastic show; this was the 2nd time I've seen it. Our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood was 1492 Tapas on E. Superior and Wabash. Best tapas I've ever had, and I'm Spanish! All in all, it was a great trip, a good time was had by all. I can't wait to go back!

A wonderful place for a retreat at any time of the year. Just steps from everything, but so nice you're tempted to stay in and relax! Stunning views to the east from the 54th floor unit. No need for a vehicle, you're a walk or a short cab ride to everything downtown. We spent a weekend getaway in the city and felt just like one of the locals. Highly recommended both for the amenities of the unit and the location. The nicest VRBO we've ever rented.

I come to Chicago at least 2-3 times a year staying at both hotels and other VRBO condos and this place has been the best. The decor was great and the views were fantastic. It was like staying in a hotel with the convenience of a home. The location was so great with Magnificent Mile 2 blocks away and the grocery store within 1.5 blocks. We will definitely be back. Why pay $200-300 a night , plus parking, plus valet tips, plus the cost or buying all of your meals, in a single room, when you can live in a penthouse condo for less? I say liberate yourself from the shackles of hotel living and get a home away from home at this property. Use the hop on hop off tour bus and leave your car while you shop, and tour.

My wife, myself, and 2 kids loved this place. Instead of staying in a cramped hotel room, this place was perfect for us all to spread out. We bought some groceries for the kitchen and had plenty of room for us all. It was very clean and the view was great! The location is perfect since you have all the Michigan Avenue shops and restaurants only a few blocks away, and the subway was right around the corner. I highly recommend staying here!

Do not rent a suite at a Magnificent Mile hotel; this condo is a way better deal. It's bigger, nicer, and the view is incredible -- on par with the one from the John Hancock Observatory. The listing's photos and description are accurate (if anything, they're too modest!), and the condo was clean and well stocked with kitchenware and toiletries.

Location, view, comfortability, amenities are all excellent. The supply of various items: spices, toilet paper, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, was very much appreciated and spoke to detail of care taken. The coffee pot broke while we were there and it was replaced immediately. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend it (already have!) to our friends.

Condo was clean and tidy; view was fantastic; gym was functional (but only 1 channel on the treadmill :( and it wasn't watchable); never got a chance to use the pool or nice full 5.1 surround theater (nice touch). There's too much to do and see in Chicago to spend too much time at your condo but when we were there it was pleasurable. We never needed our car once we arrived; taxis are plentiful and you're already smack dab in the middle of where you want to be in the first place. One tenant told me of several nearby hotels and buildings that 'rent' cars for $10./hr if you really need one. Great idea.

This is the perfect place to spend a few days in [as a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind LIVING there !]. It's on the 55th floor with absolutely gorgeous views of the Chicago skylane and lake Michigan. It has everything you could wish for, even a winefridge ! You're steps away from, well, EVERYTHING ! 1 block to the Magnificent Mile,restaurants and shops all around you. When some of the tracklighting broke, Jim and Jeri Lou replaced it immediately. They're great hosts. Definitely recommended to anyone wanting a taste of Chicago !

We've stayed in some great places throughout USA and Europe, and would rate this apartment as one of the very very best. We'd also rate Chicago as one of our favourite "cities of the world", made all the best from visiting it whilst staying at 30 East Huron. The proximity of supermarkets, shops, subway, restaurants, bayside (for running), views, great apartment and building services adds up to a great holiday! The apartment was one where you could sit quietly, enjoy the place and views and look out at the wonderful city beneath you, or pop out and experience the Mag Mile and other highlights within seconds. We'd recommend staying here without reservation and cannot wait to get back here. The owners were really nice to us too!

This condo was perfect for my husband and me during our week-long vacation in Chicago. The location can't be beat for proximity to wonderful restaurants, shopping, sight-seeing, the lakefront bike trail and public transportation. The condo is well maintained, clean and comfortably furnished -- it had everything we needed; the views are fantastic; and having a workout facility in the building is definitely a plus. We highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay in Chicago!

I just completed a 7-night/8-day respite in Chicago and could not have been more pleased with these accommodations at 30 E. Huron. First of all, the listing of the property was accurate and true to both the photograhs of the condo as well as the printed listing of its amenities and the services of the building. The staff of the complex was extremely warm and helpul and Jim and Jeri-Lou (the owners) could not have been more solicitous about providing any help or information that one would ever need. The property was neat, clean, well appointed, and very, very comfortable. All the appliances, the television, and other equipment were of the highest quality. The kitchen was well equipmed to handle most anything anyone would wish to prepare for a meal. I used the kitchen often. Even better, there are three grocery stores in the immediate area. If one is not up to doing a lot of cooking, there are untold numbers of restaurants in the area, restaurants of every price range and style of cusine. The condo location is perfect and all the shopping of Michigan Avenue is just a couple of blocks away. I happen to be Catholic, so a plus was the fact that Holy Name Cathedral was a block away. If one is up to any walking at all, there are very few of the great treasures of the city, like the Art Institute, the Architectural Boat Trip, or even Navy Pier, that cannot be reached on foot. For things a bit further, bus transportaion is efficient and cabs are reasonable and everywhere. Obvisouly each person, each traveler has his/her own interests. No matter what they may be, this location puts virtually all of them at a manageable distance. Over the years I have vacationed in a variety of rented homes and condos in assorted cities. This property is among the best. I have alrady recommended it to some friends and would do so for family, too. I had an excellent respite in an excellent home in an excellent neighborhood.
