Stunning oceanfront vacation home in Playa Grande, Costa Rica, close to Tamarindo. This is an incredibly unique vacation rental that actually sits on the beautiful white sands of the Playa Grande beach there is nothing between you and the ocean. This vacation property has 3 bedrooms and 2 lofts, with 3.5 bathrooms, is newly renovated and sleeps 11 guests, with bed an bath linens provided.
Villa Siempre is a wonderful oceanfront vacation rental property. There is nothing between you and the beach; you can step right from the tile patio onto the stunning white sand of Playa Grande Beach. Playa Grande is a wonderful beach for children and also a well known surf break (with both left and right hand waves on a point beach break). The Villa is newly renovated with high quality appliances and fittings.
Although working is strongly discouraged the house is equipped with WiFi for keeping in touch with friends and Facebooking them about what a great time you are having.
The kitchen is a wonderful bright blue and is well equipped including beautiful Kitchen Aid appliances. You can watch the waves break while you are preparing meals or while enjoying a drink or breakfast at the bar. The home has high ceilings and wonderful natural light. As you relax in the living or dining room you can see the waves breaking just beyond the palm trees. This is one of the few homes along the coast that has unobstructed view of the ocean.
Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own bathroom and air-conditioner. The master bedroom has a king bed and many wonderful wood accents. The two downstairs bedrooms are both multi leveled - there are 2 twin beds in one of the upstairs lofts and a twin an a queen in the other loft (the lofts do not overlook the beds in the downstairs bedrooms) as well as a queen bed on the lower level.
Bedroom 1: King
Bedroom 2: Queen
Bedroom 3: Queen
Loft 1:1 twins & 1 queen
Loft 2: 2 twins
As you relax outside on the deck, on the beautiful teak table and chairs or lounges, you can watch the children play on the beach or just watch perfect waves break. At six o'clock every night you can watch the sunset over the ocean and when conditions are just right you may even see the elusive green flash.
This is the ultimate place for a beach vacation, the beach and waves of the famous Playa Grande just outside your door and then the many attractions of Tamarindo and the surrounding towns nearby.
Playa Grande beach is a wonderful place for collecting shells and there is also a wonderful huge rock that you can climb that is surrounded by wonderful rock pools full of shells and marine creatures. There is also a beautiful black sand beach with many wonderful shells in the next cove a short stroll from your house.
If you are lucky enough to be at the beach between January to March - this is also the sight of the Leatherback Turtles nesting grounds and you can arrange special tours to see them come up onto the beach at night to nest and watch the young nestlings scamper to the water at day break.
Tamarindo, a wonderful bustling tourist town, can be accessed by strolling along the beach and catching a boat across the estuary or by car. The walk is about 45 minutes and then very quick boat ride (only available in daylight hours and costs about $1 each way). Many people swim or walk across the estuary but for me $1 was worth the dry clothes on the other side. Tamarindo has many wonderful shops and restaurants as well as a beautiful beach. We tend to go to the restaurants that are in Playa Grande and walking distance from the house. Rip Jacks and Marbar both have great food and atmospheres and the Playa Grande Inn is great for pizza an a quick drink. Las Tortugas on the beach has good meals and is a great place for Happy Hour rinks an a dip in the pool. There are also two other pizza restaurants an a sushi bar, and they will even deliver pizzas.
You can also take a boat ride down the estuary, early morning is the best time, and view the wonderful wild life in the area. We saw all sorts of birds and numerous crocodiles and our driver also found us a huge family of howler monkeys a short walk from the banks. If you have a bit more time the Palos Verde River Trip is a must we saw so much wild life and even got to feed the white face monkeys who come on the boat and take pieces of banana from you, then after the tour they take you for a fantastic Costa Rican lunch. Everyone we take here says it is the highlight of their stay. For those with children a visit to the monkey hospital is a must - the volunteers will let you hold the baby howler monkeys, but make sure you do not go too close to Pedro the Spider monkey as he likes to pull little girls hair.
For those of you wanting a beach vacation this is the ultimate location, the house is fantastic, it comes with daily maid service and a cook can also be organized. The Costa Rican people are very friendly and the area is a wonderfully interesting place to visit.
Refrigerator with ice maker & chilled water, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, washing machine, dryer, gourmet kitchen, large dining room table, off street secure parking, outdoor tables with umbrella & lounges, outdoor shower & sink, cassette & CD player, bed & bath linens provided, daily maid service, cook on request.

Playa Grande Costa Rica Oceanfront, Near Tamarindo. Specials!
Year Purchased: 2004
Why the Owner Chose Playa Grande
On my husband's 50th birthday he decided to surf for a month in Costa Rica. Through a local friend we rented a home on the beach in Playa Grande and immediately fell in love with the area and the people. Villa Siempre our oceanfront home was a few doors down from where we were staying and it was for sale. Don said "I have always wanted an oceanfront home". I restrained myself and did not answer "Duuhhhhh". We looked into it and because I was already in the business of renting decided to go ahead and purchase the property. A few months later we found Mireya, she is amazing and takes such good care of the property and us. We visit the property 2 - 3 times a year and then rent it the rest of the year. It really is and amazing spot.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Every time we go down to Villa Siempre we take different people with us so we end up doing a lot of the same things but it doesn't seem to get old. We go zip lining in the rain forest, take boat trips down the river and feed monkeys, ATVing on the beach, go to Guatil to buy pottery and see it be made (so far none has broken on the way home) and then visit great restaurants. Under sufferance I will go shopping but only if it involves a great lunch and some sunset Mai Tais. We never miss going to the local Rodeos which is a real treat.
Owner's Map of Playa Grande
My husband and I and two children live in Lake Tahoe California. It is an amazing place to live with incredible skiing and Lake Tahoe in summer is so beautiful. My husband works on the Squaw Valley ski patrol in winter and is a General Contractor in summer. I have a vacation rental business renting houses in Lake Tahoe. Both our children are in a Spanish immersion school and love to ski and enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer. The only thing that Tahoe does not have (or not very often) is surf.

Villa Siempre exceeded my expectations, the Villa itself was spacious and clean. The beach and ocean right outside your patio door was amazing. The sunsets were beyond beautiful. The Taco Star stand down the beach in front of the hotel had the best tacos I have ever eaten. We were fortunate enough to see the Leatherback Turtles laying egss and the samller ones trying to make it to the ocean, it was quite the experience. This would be the perfect place to bring a younger family with so much to do and see. Tamarindo was a friendly town with everyhting you need. To describe this vacation in Playa Grande with one word would be AMAZING. Thank you for letting us enjoy your Villa.

Vacationed in this home with 2 other families. When we walked into the home for the first time we were awed by the spectacular ocean view. The home has everything you need for a great vacation, including a wonderful and warm caretaker who is there to help make your stay one to remember. The furnishings were very nice, the beds very comfortable (nice linens) and large beach towels were provided. Wireless, TV, books and games were all provided. The beach is clean, extremely well maintained and the sand is perfect. The surfing/boogie boarding was so much fun, shelling and tile pooling....right outside your back door! You also have the option of daily housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation. I can't wait to go back! Pura Vida!

We arrived at sunset. We walked in the front and out the patio doors to take in one of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen. This was in the first five minutes. The rest of the week held it's own with long walks on the beach, surfing morning til dusk, and relaxing with my book in the shade of the trees just steps from the back door. We are booking in June for our return.

What a beautiful place to stay. Right on the beach, it is literally 20 steps to be surfing or boogy boarding. Rooms are spacious, well furnished, comfortable, and air-conditioned. The three master-bathrooms have good sized walk-in tiled showers right off the bedrooms, and the kitchen area is well appointed and large enough to prepare and serve meals to a good sized group. The outdoor patio at the beach side entrance is well equiped with umbrella table with chairs, lounge chairs, an outdoor shower and sink to wash the sand off yourself and beach/surf gear without having to track it into the house, and a large palm tree to provide some shade. The on-site housekeeper is great, keeps the place clean, in good working order, and provides excellent assistance for booking tours and providing information on things to do and places to go. Although you can get into Tamirindo during business hours by walking down the beach and taking the water taxi across the estuary, it's handy to have a rental car if you want to go into town for dinner and night life. Taxis will bring you from Tamirindo back to Playa Grande, but getting one to come out to Playa Grande to pick you up can be a challenge. However, there are also places within walking distance for meals and drinks. Tamarindo has an excellent supermarket with anything you could want, including fresh produce, fresh meat and fish, etc. If you want to hang at the beach, stock up on supplies at the supermarket first as you won't want to make that trip into town too often, and there is not much in the way of grocery shopping available within walking distance. However, there are local mini-marts closer than Tamirindo that can probably provide most of what you'll need. For just hanging at the house and beach I'd skip the rental car, take the water taxi to town to do a big shop, and take a taxi back to Playa Grande with all your supplies for the week. There are some nice coves north of the house for snorkeling, and we did do a dive trip out to Catalina Island, booked through the dive shop in Tamirindo, but one scuba dive boat trip is all you'll want to do as there are not much in the way of other dive sites worth going to near this part of Costa Rica.

Absolutely Amazing! We stayed at Villa Siempre for several weeks on Playa Grande. This is an incredible house that was clean, well kept and maintained. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking and entertaining. The housekeeper was fantastic and helped us with every need. You can also ask her to cook... very good meals for cheap! The beach is right out your door with world class surfing just steps away. You can easily sit in the living room and watch people surfing and kids playing in the sand...you cannot get any closer to the water and beach. Several very good restaurants are also only a few minutes walk away. We will definitely go back and will recommend to our friends.

Villa Siempre is right on the beach…perfect location for your Playa Grande vacation. This is a beautiful villa about 20 minutes (walk) north of Tamarindo…the Las Tortugas Hotel and other restaurants are very close (walking distance) for dining out. We prepared most of our meals in the kitchen - everything you need is right there. The fisherman bring their truck by with fresh catch of the day and the lobster is great! Kike's is the internet/bar/restaurant within walking distance (follow the path across the street - it's the short cut). There is a surf shop there and a medical center as well. We had a wonderful time - 5 of us. If you want to visit Playa Grande this is where you should stay!

Words can not explain the beauty of Villa Siempre. The pictures do not do justice to this house. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The living areas are perfect for watching the surf, relaxing, and entertaining. The kitchen is well equipped and can handle large groups of people. We had 10 people and we never felt crowded. There were plenty of bathrooms and wonderful showers for everyone. Mireya takes care of the Villa. She will help you set up trips, cook an authentic meal (yummy), clean bathrooms, wash and change your linen daily. Ask her what days the Pastry/Bread truck comes by and get a special treat!. As for Playa Grande, this is the beach with so much. Literally steps outside your door is world class surf breaks. Great for experts AND beginners. Plus, you can watch family surf from the couch inside the cool comfort of the Villa. We spent 21 days at Villa Siempre and it was one of the most relaxing vacations EVER. We could read in the morning, surf and play in the warm waters then go off exploring the beaches or local towns. We would also take day trips to other towns to explore. All the towns near and far had wonderful experiences waiting for us. There were days where we wouldn't put a pair of shoes on, but just wander the beautiful Playa Grande beach and nearby coves. There were plenty of day trips to explore the wonders of Costa Rica. The Palos Verde Boat trip had to be a highlight, as we were able to feed the gentle white-faced monkeys, pet a crock, and watch to the Howler monkeys. I would love to take family and friends back to this very special spot to share. It is a wonderful place to unwind, explore, practice your Spanish, and just have fun!

Our experience with two kids under 10 and four adults was excellent. The place is commodius, we could have had another two adults and two kids with no problems. It was a dream vacation for our daughter's family. It is very kid friendly. After our daughter's family left we traveled for four weeks in Costa Rica and visited nine other beaches in Guanacaste. Playa Grande was definitely the best. The housekeeper did an excellent job and her son was the same age as our grandson and they had a great time playing together in spite of the language barrier. She also prepared two excellent Costa Rican dinner for us. She was very accomodating and kept the place and our clothes clean without any supervision. We are going to do our best to take other family members back to Playa Grande and let them experience a vacation of a lifetime.

Whether a first timer to Costa Rica or a seasoned visiter Playa grande is perfect fit. This easy and simple to access villa provides a tanquil setting for what ever your travel plans include. located just North of Tamerindo makes it a perfect place to either hunker down on the endless pistine beach or a base camp to explore the northern coast. Surf, Scuba, Zip line, Jungle River tours, to name a few activities close by or right outside your door. Tamerindo, a 45 minute hike down the beach or short car ride is the closest of the large towns just about any thing you can think of can be organized from here. roughly a 35 dollar cab ride if looking for night life," highly recomended". Or no car needed at all if you choose to hike to kike's a reasonably priced bar and restraunt( take the short cut infront of the house watch the crabs!). Treat yourself to the delectible delights of Rip Jack's. Also a 8 minute stoll from the house. Sushi is there great, but the have a great menu. The employeees are friendly and knowledgeable. Tuesday and fridays morning a truck goes by the house selling fresh and vegetables. This is a must, listen for the horn honking. Pirates cove restraunt fresh fish they catch daily, snokeling if the swell is right . Playa Flamingo, Playa coco go explore or Just stay at home and enjoy the beach and the sunsets.

My husband and I had an amazing time in Costa Rica and we absolutely loved the home! For those that enjoy adventure and privacy there is no other way to go! We went horseback riding on the beach and through the jungle, zip lining, hiked to a gorgeous waterfall, ate some incredible food, and went on a crodile tour where we got to feed monkeys. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the patio and had drinks while listening to the waves roll in after the sun went down. We have nothing but great memories and amazing pictures from our stay at Villa Siempre. We would go back right now if we could!!!
