This 3 bedroom & 3 bath vacation home is a wonderful example of a family rental home that stays true to the classic Folly Beach cottage. Additions, improvements and style make have put some hospitable luxury into this property while simultaneously retaining the feel of 10-foot longboards, 8-inch swim trunks and The Beach Boys. Inside, wooden floors and ceilings are interspersed around the original concrete walls. The kitchen is cozy and colorful with brilliant blue tile work. There is a quaint lounge area with a poignant fireplace connected to the living and dining rooms by an old window above the bar. All of those rooms are fairly open, very refreshing and inspire the lackadaisical character of island life. The master bedroom is on the beach side of the home and is adjacent to another bedroom. Both have their own bathrooms and there is private access available to the master from outside. The master bathroom is completed with a deep garden tub completely encased with tile. The third bedroom is located on the other side of the public areas. The bathroom is amazing and boasts a his/her sink and a hypnotizing claw-foot bathtub.
Outside is a roomy, wooden porch that hugs a small, grassy yard which is surrounded by vine-laden fence creating a natural sense of privacy. An empty lot is located across the street which means manicured grass and local Palmetto trees are the only thing separating you from the sands of Folly Beach. There is plenty of parking on the backside of the house and another small deck off the kitchen hosts a grill if you’re in the mood for a beach barbecue. Finally, this property is just a few blocks away from downtown Folly Beach where you will find just about all the restaurants, shops and bars that the town has to offer. While it is in walking distance, it is also far enough away to avoid the noise that can be associated with the social center of Folly.
Visiting historic Charleston for the day? Walk the Charleston Battery, explore the Market, picnic at Waterfront Park, or take a horse drawn carriage ride through the Holy City.
