Overlooking the St. Thomas harbor, and just a five-minute drive to town, Bellagio Estate, in the early island days, was once the gracious home of a U.S. Ambassador, Bellagio is great for group large and small. Since the property has 3 different buildings, small groups feel very comfortable in the main villa which accommodates up to 8 people at very competitive rates! Yet you still have all the amenities of an expansive estate. Large groups such as weddings or family gatherings, can stay together in one place, and enjoy extreme privacy at rates cheaper than hotels. Having your own private estate will create memories of a lifetime for that special occasion.
Built in 1960, Bellagio has simple, historic charm. It is surrounded by the expansive, 1.6 acres of landscaped property, screened by lofty, mature trees such as mango, papaya, breadfruit, bamboo, and towering palms. In the center of it all is the generous pool, complete with outdoor shower, gas grill and a wet bar. A private tennis court is just down from the pool deck. There is a gazebo off the back deck to enjoy some shade.
The Upper Villa, Bellagio's upper building, boasts a large covered outdoor living area in crisp white island décor. A powder room and a full kitchen are conveniently just off this living area. Bedroom #1, a double, with its own bath, is tucked away on a small shady patio with palm trees just outside the kitchen. On the other side of this patio and down a corridor with floor-to-ceiling windows are three more bedrooms (2 king bedrooms, #2 and #4, and one with 2 twins, #3) and two baths (bedroom #2 & #3 share a bath). Each bedroom is air-conditioned, has cable TV and all suites are tastefully decorated. Down the stairs at the garden level, (near the pool deck), is bedroom #5, a private, air-conditioned king suite. These 3 bedrooms have an ocean view.
Down the stairs from the Upper Villa on the pool deck below, is Bellagio's expansive lower villa. This Main House offers a living/dining room (and another full kitchen) from which guests can enjoy town and harbor views. This building is excellent for a smaller group to enjoy. A covered deck which overlooks the pool is off the living room, perfect for catching some shade on a hot Caribbean day. Two king bedroom/bath suites (#6 and #7) are adjacent to the living area, and are fully air-conditioned and equipped with Satellite TV. Both suites are elegantly designed with an old-world flavor and furnished in classic mahogany furniture. Each bath features an antique all-marble bathroom. A cool and private patio off these bedrooms provides a quiet spot to read or snooze. And below, via a spiral staircase, the lower level of the Main House offers a game/media room complete with flat screen TV and Satellite, air hockey, a pool table and electronics, movies, books, games and is equipped with wi-fi, DSL line. Adjacent to the game/media room is a full bath and an air-conditioned queen bedroom (#8). Outside, it is just a few steps to the cozy little cottage (tucked behind the Upper Villa) with its two air-conditioned bedrooms (#9 and #10) sharing a bath and its own private porch to enjoy the evening breeze.
Bellagio Estate is a casual, historic property with lots of character, and in the old island days was enjoyed by the Kennedys, Jimmy Carter, Harrison Ford and the Governor of the Virgin Islands, among others. With its grand island history, its spacious grounds, bountiful amenities and many quaint and quiet nooks to enjoy, it is the perfect island getaway for families and groups, big or small.

What a peaceful place to be!

My family recently stayed at Bellagio! There were 24 of us utilizing the entire compound and no one ever felt like they were crammed or packed in. Of that 24, 23 were adults and 1 child. Bedroom 5 was the best - easy access to and from the pool - we had our own hot water heater!!! The view was awesome and the climate perfect. We were visited daily by the iguanas! They even swam in the pool (actually, i think it fell in as it was getting a drink)! Town is not too far away - beaches are very close by - we went to Lindberg, Coki and Megan's. We were able to dine outside every evening and prepared most of our meals there. Pueblo is just at the bottom of the hill for groceries. I would recommend it to anyone planning a family vacation or group outing. While I did not go too much and chose to relax at Bellagio - other members in our group managed to accomplish quite a bit - St. John's, Tortula, excursions to town, etc...it was easy access and driving was not really that hard afterall! I did have a hard time finding sea food at the Pueblo though...you would think for being on an island that fishing boats as seafood venues would be every where -but this was not the case. Coconuts did fall (great sign on the tree by the pool) and we did crack them open and ate them! Woohoo!!! I would actually rate this place as VERY GOOD!

We recently spent a week at Bellagio with our three kids and their spouses and kids. There were 18 of us in all...with 8 adults and 10 kids ranging in age from 8-17.... We had a fabulous time, and Bellagio exceeded out expectations in every way. The listing was very accurate...the acual appearance and views were better than the pictures. Annalisa King.. the owner was wonderful in the entire rental process, and they have people on site..Granville who meet us at the airport and was wonderful when we needed a few minor fixes. The property is in very good condition, and is very charming. The property is simply spectactular!! the game room, pool and tennis court were big hits with the kids, and there is a huge amount of space for everyone to do their own thing and yet get together for dinner/ post beach swims etc. Highlights of our trip other than Bellagio were a full day sail for 14 of us on Nightwind(see Trip Advisor), and a day of swimming with the sea lions at Coki, and body surfing at Trunk Bay!! We have visited St Thomas at least 15 times over the years, and owned a condo at Cowpet Bay..Bellagio is the best place we have ever stayed..and we would go back with a smaller group...6-8 would be great. We would recommend this to all our friends. You do need a car, but town is very accessible, and it is not difficult to get to east end of island for ferries and St John...Also shopping is very easy and closeby for food and other supplies. all in all a spectactular vacation for all of us, at a spectacular place!!
Owner response:Thanks for the kind words Jack, and Diane. We love it when groups have a great time and really enjoy all aspects of the property. We love getting suggestions on how to make things better for our guests, and tips on the island are really appreciated. We would love to have you again soon!

The Bellagio Estate was the perfect location for our family vacation/destination wedding!! While searching for large properties through VRBO.com, this property is one of the only ones on the island that would accomodate our group, and we are so glad it was our choice!! The property itself was very conducive to a private family vacation, with all of the amenities of home: 2 kitchens, 2 laundry facilities, televisions, phones, pool, tennis court. We started off our week with a group trip to the grocery store and stocked the kitchen for the week. It was great to not have to eat out all the time, although we did partake in many of the island's wonderful restaurants. The rooms that were set off separately from the others were private and perfect for our grandparents and other guests who needed additional privacy. Tim and Annalisa were unbelievably helpful for the year we were planning our trip. This being our destination wedding, we had lots of questions, and they were incredible!! We decided to have the wedding reception festivities at the property, and there was ample room for tables for dinner and space for dancing right around the pool for our 25 guests. Granville, the property manager, was extremely attentive and responded immediately when we had concerns. He was also very helpful to guests whose car rental fell through. Make sure you rent your cars through him!! The location of the property is perfect for a secluded, private trip. You will definitely need to rent cars to get anywhere, and there is room for a ton of cars in the driveway!! We highly recommend this rental to anyone with a larger group, and as mentioned before, it was PERFECT for our new years eve wedding!! Thank you again to Tim and Annalisa, and Granville, for helping to make this the perfect wedding celebration for us and our family!!
Owner response:Thank you Todd and Farrah, congratulations on your wedding! We hope to accommodate you again in the future. We are happy to be a part of your wedding in paradise, and we are happy that we could help keep the family together in one location!

What a beautiful property and an amazing house. I couldn't count the amount of times I looked at pictures of this place before actually arriving. And while the pictures are lovely, they did not prepare me for the thrill I got when we pulled into that driveway. My (soon to be, at the time) hubby and I followed Granville (the property manager... more on him later) around as he gave us our tour, gave us some information and his phone number. This place has every comfort of home plus some! Having 18 of our closest friends and family there was amazing - an experience that I will definitely cherish forever. There's nothing quite like having your own pool, tennis court, and kitchens all within a few steps. The description is completely accurate, the houses are just wonderful. The property is gorgeous, with so much to see (wildlife, flora, fauna... etc.) and do (swimming, tennis, air hockey, pool table, books, movies, tv) right at the house! Tim & Annalisa were so easy to deal with through the entire process, they seem like really great people. Annalisa was always answering my e-mails promptly, and we dealt with the money handling purely online, which was of great convenience to me. Her patience has no limit, as I had a million questions through the process. Many thanks to the Kings for sharing their beautiful home with us. Granville Elliot, as mentioned before, is the property manager. It's a small world after all, my sister has booked rental cars through him and All Around Car rental before. We actually ended up renting 3 vehicles directly through him, and he made it so easy for us, dropped them all off at the house. He's a great guy, any time we called with a question or concern, he was there to answer it or fix it. I can't say enough nice things about him - he even helped hubby and I find our way back to our condo for our second week in St. Thomas when we were car-less. Definitely rent a few cars if you're filling this house. 4 was enough for 20 of us. Nothing is within walking distance though, so a car is a must. I would absolutely recommend this property! Especially for wedding guests. Having all of my guests with me in St. Thomas was beyond explanation - amazing. And this is the only property big enough on St. Thomas to have 20 guests in their own private area (bedrooms and bathrooms aplenty!)
