Welcome to the largest inland lake in central NY (4 1/2 hr drive from NYC) Our road dead ends and our lot is shaded by beautiful old maples. Our lakeside cottage has all the amenities to relax during lazy summer days. Linens, towels, and clean-up supplies provided. Sunsets are brilliant; you can watch them from our two person hammock. Moderate breezes and ceiling fans make air conditioning unnecessary, even though it is available.
We have a shared 175 foot dock on the south shore for fishing and swimming. You can trailer your boat to nearby marinas and public boat launches. Callahan's Marina is 1 1/2 miles east and rents dock space by the week at reasonable rates. Oneida lake is famous for walleye pike, bass, perch, catfish, and carp. We have two kayaks, and two bikes on premises for your use.
Our cottage has a select comfort bed in the master bedroom, and twin beds in the second bedroom. We have a pull out couch in the sunroom, for added guests. There is cable TV, and a VCR/DVD/MP3/CD player with surround sound. We are connected to city sewer and water. A pellet stove takes the chill out of the air in early spring, and late fall. Our lawn stretches 300 feet to the shore.
We are close to all the summer fun Sylvan Beach, a small resort town, has to offer, but far enough away to have peaceful solitude. Verona Beach State Park is minutes away, and Oneida Shores (county park) is 20 miles. Carousel Mall (NYS largest mall) and Syracuse, is a 30 minute drive. TURNING STONE RESORT CASINO with its world class showroom, restaurants, and golf courses is a 15 minute drive, as are many other uncrowded golf courses. Green Lakes State Park and Chittenango Falls State Park are close by.

My family and I stayed at the cottage for 4 days. We LOVED it! It has all of the comforts of home and then some. The lake is beautiful. Our little ones enjoyed the swimming. We are booking again next year.

My Vacation at the lake for my wife (Jessica) and my kids (Emily & Sean) was great. This was a very relaxing 2 week vacation. There were some beautiful sunsets and some great campfires on the lake. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to unwind and still have many attractions within a short drive. Thanks again, James T Murray
