  As soon as we arrived at Barolo, we were made very welcome by everyone there. This is a beautifully appointed and well equipped apartment with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday - nothing is too much trouble, and out housekeeper was brilliant - just wish we could have taken her home with us! The situation is perfect for lying by the pool or beach, with watersports and activities on hand, and the added attraction of shopping and some lovely bars and restaurants close by. All in all - a perfect spot for a perfect holiday - definately looking forward to a return visit in 2009.

  Barolo completely lived up to the information provided. The location is wonderful, the appartment very nicely appointed and housekeeper/cook Sonya is a gem. The facility staff were very helpful in obtaining a highchair for us. We were 3 generations enjoying a family vacation. We were so relaxed that it felt as though we had been away much longer than 1 week. The complex was very well appointed and beautifully kept. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed many activities and explored the island both by taxi and bus- all went smoothly. We would certainly recommend this apartment on the lovely island of Barbados

  My family has stayed at Barolo three times, most recently in February of 2013. We consider it to be the perfect get-away. The villa is spacious, bright and clean, the space is laid out in a way that easily accommodates a larger family, or even two couples (we have visited twice with a family of four and one or two grandparents), and the access to the well-maintained pools and fantastic beach (visible from one side of the villa) and the town of Holetown (accessible from the other side of the villa) is ideal. Villas on the Beach, in which Barolo is housed, is extremely well-maintained, and its staff members are knowledgeable and accommodating. And then there’s Sonya, who takes care of Barolo and cooks two meals each day for its visitors. Not only is Sonya a hard worker and an absolutely delightful person, but she is also an AMAZING cook. My family’s only conflict during our week in Barbados each year has been settling on dinner menus, since there are too many delicious options. Barbados is my favorite island of all those I have visited over the years, and it’s hard to imagine a more perfect place to stay than Barolo. My family can’t wait to return next February!

  The setting could not be better with just a swimming pool and garden separating you from the Barbados West Coast beach and the Caribbean Sea. You dine on the balcony and listen to the sea lapping the shoreline. The Villa is well maintained to a very high standard as are the gardens and communal areas.There is 24 hour coverage on the desk with security doors and CCTV at night. The "piece de resistance"is Sonya who looks after you at the Villa with meals which would not disgrace a Five Star Restaurant. All this combined with the friendly people and all the activity that you need within walking distance make this a "MUST DO" holiday, for me, every year. Mike Walton

  Another fabulous stay in this idyllic villa. You cannot help but relax and unwind listening to the ocean right on your doorstep. We just love Sonya saying "It's ready when you are" as she serves up fantastic Bajun cuisine night after night - better than most restaurants with a much better setting too! This is our second stay in Barolo and we have given up keeping it a secret! Thanks for another fantastic vacation! The Elliott Family

  Barolo is the perfect holiday location. All the staff at the property are extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment itself is very spacious and luxurious. The view from the balcony is wonderful. . All the locals are really friendly. Sonya, the housekeeper, is amazing - there is absolutely nothing to fault it! For me the beauty of this luxurious holiday home is that the beautiful beach, pool and balcony are all very close to each other, so whatever any member of the family wanted to do was fine - we all felt we were together wherever we were! The way Sonya looked after us was a real treat - and we loved tasting her local Bajan cooking. Across the road are the Chattel House shops, and more shopping just next to that with a supermarket for any supplies you need. Numerous restaurants are a short step away too - although we enjoyed Sonya's cooking so much we only eat out a couple of times! We had our three teenage children with us, and my 75 year old Mum - and we all thought this the perfect place to be. My Mum because she could just pop to the pool or beautiful beach with not too much walking, the kids because there were so many exciting things to do on the beach - and lots of shopping on the other side of the road! Activities we took part in from the beach outside were water skiing, a boat trip to swim with turtles, and jet skiing. I enjoyed taking my camera out for a walk every morning, and visiting The Tides Gallery just next door to us. And my husband was completely relaxed and chilled. This really was the perfect holiday. :)

  Met by a smiling Sonya who did everything possible to make this week very special. The meals she prepared were delicious and used lots of local ingredients. The apartment is very homely and comfortable and has wonderful views of the beach and ocean-some amazing sunsets were also provided! We struggled to think of anything that wasn't provided and we even surprised ourselves by using the gym daily and then having a refreshing swim in the sea or pool. Holetown is a great place to stay, lots of character and some swanky shopping now too! It's the third time we've stayed in Barolo 201 and we would highly recommend it to all our friends and anyone who wants a holiday where they are made to feel totally 'at home' and have the best of both worlds-the freedom to explore with the comfort of a beautiful apartment with fantastic 'home cooked meals' to come back too and relax.

  We had a wonderful time at Barolo with my husband, parents and young son in February of 2011. The villa was so spacious and truly comfortable with all of the amenities one would need at home and more, a hotel could not compare. The peaceful pool and prime location right on the gorgeous beach were a huge advantage over other places I considered. All we had to do was walk across the street to Holetown for groceries and shops. We were surrounded by fantastic restaurants, all walking distance. Sonya the lovely housekeeper was an amazing cook and really took care of us. I can't wait to return, Barolo truly exceeded all of my expectations!

  You could not find anywhere finer.Barbados with a superb apartment on the west coast beach.Near all the amenities of Holetown. Shops,restaurants,bars including beach bars where you can drink cocktails (during Happy Hour) and watch the sun go down. On top of this a superbly appointed apartment with Sonya to look after you. As I said to her "we should not have Delia's Cookbook on the book shelf we should have Sonya's".The evening meals that Sonya prepared for us were the equal of the top restaurants.We ate on the open balcony with the Caribbean sea lapping on the beach below us. What could be better for an unwinding relaxing holiday. Having travelled the world I can tell you "nothing". Having used Barolo regularly in the past we cannot wait to go again next year.
