This charming house is part of a 15th century village that boasts two castles, located along the fringes of the Chianti wine region. The house is nestled into a corner of the village of Montebenichi and has a beautiful view of the rolling hillside. It has three levels plus a loft and is used as the periodic residence of an artist. The original features have been maintained and the furniture and objects in the house have been lovingly collected from antique markets and local artisans.

The village has retained its traditional character, predominantly inhabited by farmers who cultivate olives, wine, and other produce. Montebenichi also has a very good Osteria, where local spcialties are served alongside a good winelist.

Within a short distance (15-minute drive) one can reach Ambra which has a bank, various stores, markets, restaurants, and all basic necessities. Siena is only a 30-minute drive, and the heart of the Chianti is only 20 minutes away.

This accommodation suits anyone who can appreciate an authentic environment. It is a place of authentic charm with the feeling of a home rather than a rental property.
