Located between Seaside and Destin in beautiful Santa Rosa Beach, Fancy Free is a 3 Bedroom, 3 Bath cottage that is part of a small Family Oriented neighborhood of only 75 cottage style homes called Old Florida Village. A community pool a couple of houses down makes keeping tabs on those loved ones especially convenient, and beach access is a short walk (.4 mile).
This 'Smoke-Free' Florida Cottage-style home features clapboard siding, a tin roof and 4 covered porches. Morning coffee and gentle sea breezes can be enjoyed in comfortable outdoor furniture off the private porches. The cottage is professionally furnished and decorated with overstuffed casual yet elegant furnishings that create a classy Caribbean beach ambience. The cottage comfortably sleeps 10 with one King bed, one Queen, a twin over full with trundle, and one Queen sofa bed.
Our location is convenient to fine dining like Bud and Alleys and The Pizza Bar in Seaside, Criollas in Grayton Beach, Lake Place and Stinky's in Dune Allen, and Fish out of Water in Watercolor as well as funky dining with great jazz at Picolos and the Red Bar in Grayton Beach. We are within walking distance to Gulf Place with boutique shops, outdoor dining at Smiling Fish Cafe, Moon Dogies bike rentals, Sunday night concerts on the green and ice cream at Miss Lucilles Gossip Parlor. The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is also nearby with two holes overlooking the Gulf as well as gulf front dining. Eighteen miles of bike paths along the beach and coastal dune lakes make exercise a fun and interesting event. The largest designer outlet mall in the country is a 10 minute drive in San Destin.
Large TVs and DVDs for movies in all bedrooms and the living room provide a nice respite after the sun and surf of the day. For those interested in cyber-surfing, Fancy Free has high speed wireless internet connection. A Sony Play Station keeps even the most rambunctious entertained for hours.
We accept small dogs (under 25 pounds) but please, no cats for owner health reasons.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Security Deposit is due within 5 days of making reservation. Full rental amount + Cleaning, taxes, and pet fee if applicable is due 30 days prior to occupancy.
Cancellations must be made 90 days prior to arrival for refund of deposit less the administration fee. If you book within 90 days of your arrival date, you will have two weeks from the time you make the reservation to cancel with a full refund of your deposit less the administration fee. If you cancel after final payment has been made and if we are able to re-rent the property, your rental fees and deposit will be refunded less the administration fee of $25.
REFUND/SEVERE WEATHER POLICY
Refunds will not be given for late arrivals or early departures. If hurricanes or other extreme weather conditions occur the County Emergency Management Offices of North West Florida in conjunction with the National Weather Service may issue a mandatory evacuation notice. Only at that time, will refunds be pro-rated from the time of your departure. If no evacuation notice is issued by either of these government agencies and you choose to leave before the end of your reservation or to cancel because of the potential threatening weather, neither refund nor compensation will be made.

Why the Owner Chose Old Florida Village
After visiting many many beaches in the US we came to The Beaches of South Walton on an anniversay getaway in 1998. 2 months later we owned a place in Destin. In 2005 we decided to look for a larger place that we could really spend more time enjoying. We have been in love with Santa Rosa Beach ever since. It is our favorite place to be!

We loved staying at Fancy Free! We had two couples (one with a baby) and this was the perfect place for us. It was super clean and very nicely decorated. Lots of extras. The beach was a short walk away. We would for sure stay here again!!!

A beautiful summer cottage home ~extremely clean. A well kept home & surrounding area. Has all the conveninces of home on the inside. Convenient to beach(es) & restaurants. This was our second year to spend time in Old Florida Village. We love the development and Fancy Free proved to be a great place to stay. We really like the beach access, it has clean restrooms and a pavilion a the top of the short set of stairs to the beach. Many times we have walked to the beach, but ample parking is available at the access. The owners had everything ready for us, this cottage was equipped as good or better that any we have rented in years past. We hope to visit Fancy Free next year.

Fancy Free was perfect for my family of 5 plus my parents. The rooms are comfortable and perfectly furnished. The kids room was great with the bunk beds and trundle. We rented bikes from Butterfly rentals in Gulf Place and had fun riding them everywhere. I felt safe riding the trail along 30-A. Great time!
