Tybee Island is where local award winning artist and writer, Debbie Brady Robinson, grew up. The stories that Debbie writes are often about growing up during what she refers to as, "Tybee Times in the 20th Century", and are published in The "Tybee Breeze" local entertainment magazine. Most of the fun-filled adventures that Debbie tells took place here on Horsepen Creek and what is now the Tybee Dockside Inn.
Tybee Island is a tiny little island paradise, only two-and-three-fourths miles long, and three-fourths of a mile wide, surrounded by beach and ocean on one side, and river or creeks and marsh on the other side. You can walk or ride your bike to everywhere!
