I'd like to thank Allen for keeping this condo is such beautiful shape. We have been quesst two different time and both times we have been greeted with a beautiful, clean, well-appointed condo. I hesitate to write a review because I don't want too many people to know how great this place is. The location, the beach, everything is wonderful. We needed to get away and be quiet and we sure have found the place to offer everything we want! Thanks again Allen for all you do to make our stay special!

Great place to stay!

We stayed here from 10/29/11 until 11/5/11. It was our first trip to South Carolina. We wanted to see Charleston, but preferred to stay somewhere a bit outside the city. We had a wonderful time! The Wild Dunes resort is beautiful, quiet, and well-maintained. Allen's condo is just as described and pictured. We arrived after dark the first night so we could not see the ocean. When we awoke the next morning and saw the amazing view from the bedroom, porch, and living room we were so happy we had selected this location. The amenities provided were great - bottled water, all kitchen supplies, toiletries, hairdryer, beach towels and chairs, etc. The furniture was all functional and comfortable, the bed was great for our backs, and even bathrobes and velour throws were provided. The screened in porch was very nice - we enjoyed sitting out there to enjoy our coffee and the ocean in the morning even though it was November. We would definitely stay there again and can highly recommend this place to others. Thank you, Allen!

I have been visiting the North and South Carolina coasts for over 20 years. This unit was by far the best appointed condo I've ever stayed in. It is simply top-notch. Beautifully decorated, well stocked (including wine and bottled water in fridge), clean. The view was superb...I just can't say enough about how great my stay was! I have been talking to all my friends about how beautiful it all was and would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend! I highly recommend Hall's Chop House, Mellow Mushroom, Poe's, Red's Ice House, and High Cotton (esp for Sunday Brunch) when you visit Charleston. I can hardly wait to return!

Beach towels and chairs provided. Fruit basket and a bottle of wine. Bath robes. Bottled water in the frig. Perfect for a get-a-way to relax and enjoy the sun, sand and water. Excellent dining on IOP or short drive to Charleston. Thanks Allen for another enjoyable week.

Paradise in Wild Dunes!

My daughter and I stayed at this cozy condo in July 2010. It was extremely clean and organized. The kitchen and bath were stocked with a generous supply of amenities to help get us started. We were so excited to have a wonderful Welcome basket full of goodies to greet us! We could sit on the porch to view the ocean or pool. We had a great time here and would not hesitate to rent here again.

The perfect vacation!

I have to say the previous reviews are spot on. The minute we walked through the door one of my boys threw his arms around me and exclaimed "Thank you mom!" The condo is very nice, everything works and the view is great. Because of the attention to detail in the decoration and amenities it feels like someone lives there, it's not devoid of personality like a lot of other rentals can be. The area at that end of Wild Dunes is uncrowded and stress free (including the beach). But still close to everything. The only reason it takes 20 minutes to Charleston is because you have to drive slowly through the Isle of Palms. For activities I'd recommend Barrier Island Eco Tours - they have some really good excursions to Capers Island. Thank you Allen for being such a good manager.

The Perfect Beach Vacation!

This is a wonderful place to stay! Beautifully decorated and equipped. Everything you need is at the condo. The view is spectacular and the screened porch is so nice - we enjoyed breakfast and lunch there every day! It was one of the best vacations we have had. A nice, family atmosphere! Even though it was late June, the beaches and pool were never crowded! Excellent restaurants nearby on the island! Allen, you were most helpful in answering all of my questions and I appreciate that! We will definitely be back.

The condo was just as beautiful as we remembered and the beach was so much better thanks to the restoration. The only reason I'm not rating the experience as excellent is because the people staying in the condo above were noisy the whole week despite our calls to the resort to complain. Thanks for the great vacation though - we will definitely be back!!

We spent one week at Wild Dunes and had a wonderful vacation! The condo was exactly as shown in the pictures. So impressive, so comfortable with every amenity. The pool and beach were great. We enjoyed Charleston, as well as the many restuarants and shops in towns close to Isle of Palms. And of course, the welcome basket was a great touch and much appreciated. Allen was always a phone call away if needed. Without hesitation, I would recommend staying here!

Wonderful Oceanfront Condo

We recently spent our Spring Break with our 7 year old at this condo. The condo was great and so was Wild Dunes. Everything was exactly as represented on the website and we really enjoyed ourselves. The condo had a much larger feeling then represented by the square footage and was very clean. View was great and the food basket was a special treat. Wild Dunes is very pretty and family friendly. We would highly recomend this condo.

Port-O-Call - Thanksgiving at the beach

Thanksgiving 2009 couldn't have been any better. Allen's condo is clean, mantained to perfection and equipped with evrything one needs for a week at the beach. From bathroom amenties to complimentary bubbly in the fridge. The kitchen had all the tools necessary for preparing a Thanksgiving dinner enjoyed by a day visit from two adult children and granddaughter. Often a website appears nicer than reality. The condo we stayed in was a very pleasant surprise. We were delighted to find it so fully equipped. We could literally have just taken our clothing and food. A view of the ocean and short walk to the beach was so convenient. The screen porch provided a great place to eat. There was even a community grill!

This was our first stay at Isle of Palms, and we will be back! The screen porch viewing the ocean was protected from the elements, and the beach was beautiful. We spent a week here in October and were delighted by everything we found. The apartment is superb, in an excellent location and just about perfect in every way, Allen had the place prepared wonderfully for when we arrived from the UK and had even thought to supply some English Breakfast tea bags along with fruit, biscuits and wine to revive us after the long journey - top marks for the thought that went into that and for knowing how much we Brits like our tea! I'd visited the US many times before, including Charleston, but for my partner Jill it was her first visit and neither of us was disappointed! From our arrival at the airport, where Hertz upgraded our booked economy grade car to a Mustang (with Boston plates - confused those who later assumed we were from there and therefore Red Sox fans in World Series week!) to the excellent local sites and history everything about the Charleston area was as we'd hoped with the legendary Southern hospitality much in evidence. Once again praise for Allen and this property, I doubt you'd find a better place to stay and a better host in this price range if you visited the whole of the USA.

We really enjoyed out stay in the Port-O-Call and in Charleston. The place was perfect for my girlfriend and I. It was only seconds from the Beach, and only about 20 minutes from Charleston. Allen thought of everything (even candles) to make our trip enjoyable. If we come back to Charleston (and I know we will) we will definitely stay here again. Thanks!

What a wonderful place. You couldn't ask for a more perfect setting. Despite Hurricane Ophelia threatening off-shore we had a wonderful time. All the extra touches were very much appreciated. The proximity to Carleston, the plantations and any number of activities makes for a vacation to remember. We will definitely be back again next year.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at Wild Dunes. The extra touches, the basket of goodies and the bathrobes, were great! We had plenty of linens, etc. Our only problem was the washer-dryer combo- we could not get the dryer to work. Maybe the lint trap needed to be cleaned-could not figure out how to do that. Also, a note to the cleaning crew; it was very clean, however pay extra attention to the shower door track- it needed some extra cleaning and also the vents were dusty. All in all, it was a great week! Thank you very much.

#661 was terrific! We just loved the screened porch(had breakfast out there every day,even in the rain)Our visit was wonferful in spite of poor weather(huricane Frances),there was enough to do(shop,movies,plantation tour)to keep us busy.Next time we hope to get a tan too!

I cannot say enough good things about this condo. It has everything you could want or need, a real "home away from home". It has plenty of space. My family of four was very comfortable. The large screened porch is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The Wild Dunes community is wonderful too. The beaches are not at all crowded and the people are super nice. We are planning to return next summer. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful place to vacation- you have found it!

We had and absolute wonderful time. It was so comfortable and relaxing. Finally, a place not so commercialized, yet the beauty of the surroundings and the sounds of the ocean were just what we wanted. Our condo was perfect and met our needs. The deck overlooking the ocean was where we ate breakfast and spent our time before retiring to bed. Also -thank you for the golf suggestions. The courses were beautiful. We played Charleston National, Rivertown and Dunes West. All were very nice but Charleston Nat'l was absolutely beautiful! The fruit basket was a nice touch. Thank you Allen for all your assistance and your southern hospitiality. The condo and the area exceeded our expectations.

we found this unit, D-203, to be one of the few rentals that are nicer than their pictures. the extra touches that were provided,the robes, fruit, etc., were a most welcome addition. it was our pleaure to relax in this unit. we will try it in the future also.

Allen, sorry we didn't make it over to the Meeting Street Inn to meet you. It was so beautiful over here we spent our days at the beach, etc. We didn't get to see much of Spoleto except for a couple of free outdoor shows. We'll plan more of that next time. Everything was great!
