This authentic 'Joe Webb' log cabin is nestled in a very private setting, just steps from Mirror Lake, yet only one-half mile from Highlands' quaint shopping and dining district. Conveniently located only a stone's throw from wonderful hiking trails and lake access for canoeing and fishing.

Stone's Throw has two charming bedrooms with wood-beamed ceilings, comfortable queen-size beds, cable TVs, and two bathrooms. We just returned to Texas from our stay at Stone's Throw...it was fabulous and we'd rather still be there. The cabin is rustic, cozy and just down right relaxing. The Highlands' shopping and dining area is charming and had all our family needed...which wasn't much since Mark and Chris had the cabin "move in ready." We loved visiting the local waterfalls (Dry Falls, Whitewater Falls & Cullasaja Falls are must see), watching the sunset over Highlands from Sunset Rock, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, and horseback riding at Whitewater Equestrian. I would strongly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away from the big city, yet likes having modern conveniences right around the corner. Thanks for everything Mark and Chris.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We have been enjoying Stones Throw since Feb. 2007 and it is our first choice of places to go when we want to chill out and get away. Mark & Chris have anticipated our every need to feel right at home. We are in love with the place.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We have two charming rental properties in Highlands; Stone’s Throw Log Cabin and Lakeview Cottage.
