Welcome to paradise! Our apartment is clean, and comfortably furnished......it is peaceful and offers everchanging views of the Koolau mountain range.
It is a private, spacious, one-bedroom apartment, with cool breezes, spectacular views, and fragrant plumeria that can be picked from the edge of your deck (during the summer months!).
The apartment boasts a high quality King size bed, which is so comfortable that several of our guests have requested details of the make and manufacturer! There is also a private bathroom with bathtub and shower, and the bedroom can be air-conditioned. We can provide folding futons to accomodate children or extra guests in the living room. The living room includes a well equipped kitchen area complete with refrigerator, toaster oven, double burner, microwave, coffee machine and sink, so that you can be self catering if you choose.
Kailua is a beach town, slow paced and full of aloha spirit, but only a 25-minute drive from downtown Honolulu and Waikiki. The beaches of Kailua and Lanikai are rated amongst the most beautiful in the world, and both are minutes away. Kailua also has a great selection of restaurants and plenty of boutique shopping, as well as easy access to all the spectacular tourist spots on Oahu.
This apartment also benefits from being close to a bike path that runs along the edge of the Kawainui Marsh. The marsh stretches from the bike path back towards the Koolau mountain range and provides the opportunity to spot all kinds of wildlife, from freshwater turtles, to blue herons, and enormous butterflies. If you have young children, there is also a park within easy walking distance, which has a playground, complete with swings.

Emma & Jeff, This is such a great spot to hang your hat after a long day of sun and fun. The breezes are constant and the panoramic views are exceptional. The apartment is simple, but well equipped and very comfortable. We wanted to stay longer!

What a beautiful vacation rental! We enjoyed the comfortable, clean apartment, the amazing views, and the quiet rustling of the trees in the night. Friends who came to visit wanted the contact infor of the rental for their island visitors... Kailua Beach and Lanikai are great nearby beaches and the Byodin Temple in Kaneohe was a beautiful sight to see. We enjoyed our trip here - it went way too fast! Thank you Jeff, Emma and family!

Jeff & Emma, You've provided a great place for those of us who don't need a high-rise experience on Waikiki. That kind of amenity is usually underwhelming for the kids (or at least underappreciated). Here at Treetops we all enjoyed the neighborhood feel of the place, the wonderful views in every direction, the amazing flow through ventilation and the many, very different bird calls in the morning.

Thank you for a lovely peaceful stay up in the guest quarters. Our recommendations include; 1. Leaving your children downstairs with the Bells so that you can have a lie in THANKS! 2. Getting Jeff to BBQ 3. Emma's Peanut Chicken and for those who are not family....we loved the Bowfin Submarine tour at Pearl Harbor - very well done audio guided tour of a WWII submarine. We will definitely be back....

Emma and Jeff have created the perfect environment to make our visit feel like we were "home"! The Italian restaurant in Kailua, "Zia's" was awesome!! Maui Tacos was good for Mexican food (we're from Ariz. so we're picky!). If you drive to the North Shore, be sure & catch "Romy's" shrimp stand (by the shrimp farms) for a delicious pound of shrimp! Thank you (Mahalo) to the lovely Bell family for making our trip so "cozy".

Mahalo, It has been a wonderful four days. We really enjoyed the small town of Kailua with easy access to the rest of the island. The rental is beautiful and the view of the mountains is amazing. Thanks to Emma and Jeff for making this a great stay!

This one bedroom apartment was just what we were looking for. We stayed for one week. The apartment was spacious and clean with a nice view of the mountains. It has air conditioning but we never used it as the tradewinds provided the cool breezes. The owners were attentive but respected our privacy. They provided beach chairs and an ice chest for us for our picnics. They were a very nice family with nice kids. We were close to Honolulu without actually having to be in the city. The beaches around Kailua were the best! We rented a kayak nearby and spent the day exploring by sea. We plan on returning to this apartment in the future.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.
