Just returned from 5 nights at Mickey's Emerald Castle. Everything was just perfect. There are 4 bedrooms which provided lots of space for our entire group. I slept in the upstairs king size bed and it was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I wanted to bring it home with me. Every bedroom had a T.V. which was nice with 4 teenagers. The huge sectional sofa was very comfortable as well. My daughter fell asleep and slept all night on it two of our five nights there. The townhouse was very clean and well maintained. It is very close to the entrance of Disney, like 5 minutes close. Also it is close to grocery stores and eating establishments as well. The resort itself is beautiful, I only wish we would have had a free day just to relax and enjoy it. I highly recommend this place if you want a lot of space and a relaxing environment. The patio opens up to a wooded area (very peaceful). I priced alot of places before we chose this one. I will tell you that this price cannot be beat for the space and quality we received. We will certainly stay here again only next time a full week!

We stayed here 5/28-6/4 and had a great time. Loved the tile floor in the living area and kitchen. Our only comment was that the couch was a little dirty but other than that the place was clean. Only minutes from Disney parks. We were able to come back to the townhome relax, eat dinner with the cooking utensils provided and then go back to the park in the evening for the parades. We would definitely recommend Mickey's Emerald Castle and we would return.

My family and I went in December to Disney World and Islands of Advanture. this was our 5th time to Magic Kingdom. and Indeed this was very close to the gates of Magic Kingdom. It was only 3 miles or less. We were also very close to Outback,Cracker Barrell, Mcdonalds and many more restaurants. The townhouse was lovely. 4 bedrooms, which we did not even use one of them. We only had time to go to the attractions so we did not have time to go to the clubhouse. The security guard was very nice and we had not trouble at all. The place is lovely and very comfortable with all of the extras,including dishes, towels, sheets etc I would highly recommend anyone to stay in this safe and conveiently located townhouse.

I can't say enough great things about this property rental. I spent a week here with my 6 children and the house was equipped with everything i could have needed for my kids ages 3-16, they were never bored.The kids absolutely loved playing with the plushed toys and board games every day. I cooked most of our meals their and the kitchen had everything i needed. The house has two large master bedrooms both with king sized beds that were so comfortable, i did not want to leave. The home has 4 bathrooms which is wonderful when you are traveling with so many people. I couldn't believe how immaculate the home was, the pictures did not even do it justice. After a long day at the parks, we were all looking forward to going back to the townhome to relax and go to the pool. The living area was so spacious and the couch was beyond comfortable. And having an oversized washer and dryer at my fingertips was a huge plus. You get so much more at this place for the money then you would ever get a hotel, it truly is unbelievable how cheap it really is. I would never stay at a hotel again after this experience. The grounds were beautiful and having the woods back the house was truly relaxing. The townhome was within minutes of everything from restaurants to food stores to gift shops. The staff was beyond helpful and extremely nice. I have already recommended this home to many people and i will definetely be back next year. This is the best vacation home ever!!!

Just got back from a weeks stay here on 6/12/10. Our experience with the house was wonderful. It had everything we needed. We cooked four meals here to save on eating out every night. The club house was great and we used the pool and hot tub every night after a long day at the parks or a round of golf. I want to thank the staff at the club house for printing out coupons that saved me over $50.00 for my three rounds of golf I played. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a great value for a place to stay. My only small complaint had to deal with the TV. Every day it seemed around 3 PM we would get our daily thunderstorm and would lose the signal. Tried watching the US Open but had to wait till signal returned. I would recommend getting all cable channels instead. We will rent the property again in the future. Thanks for a great week. Dave from New Castle, De.

I've stayed at few rental properties before, but none were as great like this home. My family and I stayed at this house for a few days and we loved it! This is such an excellent place to stay, so much that we really didn't want to leave when it was time to go! The location is terrific, only about 3 miles from Disney property, a mile or so to a local Winn-Dixie Marketplace grocery store and about 4 miles from a Super Walmart. The description of the house with the pictures and reviews are very accurate, but really can't say enough about how cool this house and the community is! This house is immaculate. The house has two large master bedroom suites with private baths - the plush king sized beds were a dream to sleep in! The living room area was spacious and the large sectional couch was sooo comfortable to relax on after a day at the parks! The owner as well as the property manager were both very helpful and responsive in answering our emails. The owner has equipped this house well for families with small children - there is a wooden crib, playpens, strollers, as well as some plush toys, board games and movies to keep your little ones busy - our kids loved it and were never bored! The property manager does a great job and is very responsive to our questions and requests. We had a stuck sink drain that was fixed soon after on the same day, and the manager called us afterward to make sure everything was fine, which we really appreciated. I must mention that the clubhouse has a lot of daily activities set up for all ages to participate in, that were either free or charged a minimal fee. The days we were there, they had a family movie night in their clubhouse movie room, an ice cream social, a coloring/craft activity for kids, among other things. The community pool is great and has a well-equipped nice outdoor tiki bar for adults to relax and enjoy while the kids are swimming. The tiki bar features a karaoke night on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 to 10pm which is a alot of fun. Thank you Brett for sharing your great vacation home! My family stayed in Mickey's Emerald Castle from December 4-13, 2009. It was wonderful and the perfect size for all of us. The location is great! Very close to all the disney parks. The home is close to the clubhouse. The pool is heated and the hot tub was great. I loved the Mickey rug in the twin room. Brett (the owner) is great to work with. I have a one year old son and when I was looking for a home for our vacation I specifically asked the owners about a full size crib and not a pac "n" play. Anyone that has visited disney knows that having a good nights sleep makes for a better vacation for everyone. Brett was so kind as to purchase a crib for our stay. I would highly recommend this vacation home when visiting Orlando.

great comfortable accomadations..very homey, comfy and roomy !!! the kitchen and living area were perfect for our group. lots of room to visit or relax. the beds were so comfy and the rooms were delightful. it is our first experience with vrbo (we always stayed in motels) definately opened our eyes and was so much more affordable. we relaxed at day's end and felt like we were " coming home" after long days in the parks. we will definately return to this wonderful property... thanks, brett

Stayed at Mickeys Emerald Castle Nov 14 to 21. Townhouse is close to the pool--a short walk. Excellent privacy with 2 master suites plus two other bedrooms with shared bathroom. Enjoyed having television in each bedroom. And a much appreciated plus, is the wireless internet at the house. Great place for families to share togetherness along with privacy. Unbeleiveable close to Disney World and all its attractions. Children will love the Disney decor. Brett, owner, is very responsive and quick to answer any questions.

I stayed at the villa from October 8th to the 17th and it was the best choice I have made in a vacation to Disney. It was my niece's first trip to Disney and she was delighted and amazed of the house. She loved the room with all the plush toys and that is where she slept. For myself and all who traveled with me absolutely loved the house. It was very spacious and comfortable. Each of us had their own room and the adults even had the privacy needed. The pictures are no lie. It is exactly how it appears. BEAUTIFUL! FANTASTIC! I would definitely stay at the Mickey's Emerald Castle again! Thanks for everything!

We usually stay at one of the Disney Theme Park Resorts. However, when a friend recommended Mickey's Emerald Castle we thought we would give it a try. We are so glad we did. The entire family LOVED the house. Upon arrival, our daughter immediately claimed the queen sized bedroom as her own. LOCATION is important especially when you are looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of City life. The house is located in a quiet section of Emerald Island a short distance from the Clubhouse but far enough that you are not disturbed by the sounds of activity and entertainment. It is just minutes from 192, 4, International Drive and All the theme parks. The house itself is very bright and airy with a well manicured front and backyard perfect for sitting out on the patio or upstairs deck enjoying your morning coffee while watching baby armadillos, birds, frogs and other local wildlife. The house is fully stocked with utensils, appliances, linens, etc. It was a pleasure not having to wake up 1 1/2 hours early to shower and make the 10am breakfast deadline of a hotel. That was not an issue staying in a house with 3 baths and a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay so much that our daughter opted to stay "HOME" on our last day just to relax and enjoy a game of hide and seek. Our only regret is that we did not discover Mickey's Emerald Castle sooner. Looking forward to our next stay!

Dear Brett, Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your beautiful property for our Disney vacation. I had never rented using the VRBO website, so I was a little leary. I do not regret doing so because we had a fantastic stay. Mickey's Emerald Castle was really nice, comfortable, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We saw armedillos, racoons, and other creatures of nature. The kids really got a kick out of that, and took lots of pictures. They also enjoyed going to the pool at the clubhouse. House was just like the description and worked out great for our family. I was impressed with us having a large group we never ran out of hot water! That was nice. We also felt close to the parks and eating establishments too.

We've stayed in several properties in this area over the past several years but this is the only one we've ever wanted to come back to! It really lives up to its hype. The beds were of excellent quality and size! The decorating was very appropriate and pleasing. The proximaty to the club house was a definate plus. We found the unit to be in excellent repair and very clean. There is a pride of ownership here that is very evident. The proximity to Disney World is difficult to beat. I not only would recommend this property to others, I have!

To say that I was taken pleasantly surprised by the accomodations would be an understatement. What I had imagined to be just an alternative to a hotel instead turned out to be an experience in itself.It has such a homey and personal feel, starting from the cozy decor all the way down to the ever so comfortable linen and so much in between.It was as if I did not feel like I am adjusting to a different home but rather it was always there waiting for me to sink myself into. It was the perfect antidote to the winter blues down in Jersey where I live.In other words I recommend it.Thank you Brett once again.

We had such a great time staying at your townhouse! We were really impressed with the accommodations! It was bright, very spacious, beautifully decorated and really made us feel at home. The beds were really comfortable; there were plenty of extra sheets, blankets and towels; and the washer and dryer came in very handy! It was really close to all the attractions; but lounging by the pool was relaxing also. The games and movies you had there kept us entertained on the day it rained. It was such a pleasure to stay there and we look forward to visiting there again! I would definitely recommend this townhouse to all my family and friends! Just returned from a 4-day stay (July 11-16, 2007) at Mickeys Emerald Castle. The condo is absolutely wonderful. Beautifully decorated. Very spacious, roomy and clean. We liked the fact that we were able to cook our meals in the fully-equipped kitchen also the fact that it was so close to the clubhouse and pool. My family and I absolutely loved Mickeys Emerald Castle and would stay there again.

This house is GREAT--spacious and well-decorated. After a crowded day at the Disney theme parks, our family found it so relaxing and quiet at Mickey's Emerald Castle. The town home has beautiful views of protected wetlands. My husband and I loved the porch on the upstairs master bedroom that overlooked the woods. There is grass out back so the kids can run around, and our two boys had plenty of space to play. Staying here sure beat cramming a family of four into a hotel room! The Emerald Isle community is attractive, clean and has 24-hour security. We will definitely recommend this home to friends!

WOW... from now on I think I will try to stay in a VRBO or similar property when traveling. This worked so well for our group. We were two parents/adults and 4 young men (early twenties). It was so nice to be able to cook breakfast in the home and to not be crowded. The beds were wonderful. It was very nice having the washer and dryer right in the townhome. My son is recovering from knee surgery and in a wheelchair and on crutches. We gave him the handicap accessible bedroom on the main floor. It worked great. I must admit I was SO leary to rent from someone I had never even met. There is a way to double check that the person who says they own the unit is tied to the property by checking property tax records. I did this. Also I spoke with Brett (townhome owner) on the phone and I also was given a private cell phone number for the person who owns the management co. These hints might make you feel more comfortable. Since this was our first VRBO rental, I was pretty dumb. The main floor a.c. didn't SEEM to be working. It didn't even enter my head to call the management co. It ended up being just that the unit was not on the a.c. setting. DUH to me!!! So call the management co. with any problems. Just a couple of hints. There is supposedly a light breakfast served in the club house on Saturday and Sunday. We never made it to it, but you might want to give it a try. Also there IS a Publix grocery store fairly nearby... ask the townhome owner for directions. It is a lot cheaper than Goodings and so much more selection. Also I believe there is a WalMart nearby for even better prices. We just followed the signs to get to WDW and Universal, but if you ask the home owner, he might even know short cuts to get there. Another hint... we flew Cedar Rapids Iowa to the SANFORD airport. It is so small and convenient. It was only about an extra 1/2 hour driving and was wonderful for us. We were back to our hometown by 10:30 the morning of our return. Please feel free to email me with any questions. This was the first time in a very long time that I have made the Disney trip. The townhouse was fantastic and the location couldn't be better. The Disney decor throughout the house was a great added touch. My 6 year old son was very disappointed to have to say goodbye to Shamoo!!! The amenities throughout the house and grounds were excellent. We had four adults and one child and could have easily been comfortable with several more people. Staying at this townhouse, without a doubt, raised the bar for all of our future Disney trips! Hope to visit again soon!!

We had a wonderful stay at Mickey's Emerald Castle during Thanksgiving. The townhouse was exactly as described. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to stay in a hotel when you could stay here for a great rate! The townhouse was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The decor was nicely done with a Disney theme throughout which added to the stay. The townhome is located within a short walk to the pool and clubhouse area. Emerald Island Resort is quiet, well kept, and has a secluded feel and yet, it is very close to everything - stores, restaurants, etc. Disney is 5-10 minutes away via Sherbeth Rd, very easy to get to. The owner and the management company were both friendly and easy deal with. I would recommend this townhome and would definitely stay here again.

Flew home today from 83 degree weather to 41 degree weather, needless to say, we are bummed to be home! Had a wonderful time staying at Mickey's Emerald Castle. Location is perfect and the townhouse is gorgeous. The two king sized beds were much appreciated and our little munchkin loved the Ariel decor the most. Speaking of Munchkins, my all-time favorite movie is the Wizard of Oz, so it was really cool to see the signed photo in the bathroom. I thought that they had all passed away, I'm glad that the Lollipop Guild guy is still hanging in there! We will see you again!

We were lucky to be able to spend 12 days at this townhouse in mid December and we could not have made better choice. It was perfect. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and the space worked out well for all of us - especially with TV's in so many rooms. It was very convenient for us to to go Disney and the location was great as far as getting to other places that we needed to for the days we spent there. The gated community made it feel "safe" to stay there. The closeness of the clubhouse made it convenient to use the internet to check emails and our only complaint would be that we didn't have enough time to take advantage of using the pool and hot tub more than we did. We are all telling our friends that if they know anyone planning a trip to Disney that this is by far the place to stay. Thanks once again Brett for sharing your home with us. We will always remember the great time we had there.

A great family condo! We had everything we needed and we were so close to all that Disney has to offer. We enjoyed being so close to the pool too! The place was great and much larger inside than what the outside pics look like. Wonderful Disney decor and VERY comfortable beds. I am partially handicapped and couldn't have been happier with the care Brett took to accomodate guests like me. Only note is be careful getting out of bed with the satin sheets - they are very slippery. I would highly recommend the place to everyone. Very close to Disney and fast food to Outback closeby.

Brett, AWESOME! PERFECT! Words can't begin to describe your place and the service. We have stayed at many of the homes in Emerald Island but NONE of them compare with yours. The rooms are Very Spacious and having TVs in each room was great. The 2 King Master Suites couldn't be better. The furniture is great and even the queen sofa bed sleeps great! Thank you for allowing us to check in early. We were able to get in and settle jsut before my Mom showed up. We were able to surprise her for her 50th birthday and that meant so much to her and us. She was in tears of happiness. We had no problems at all with your house. Other homes have had problem with bugs and other things but NOT yours! I will Definitely stay at your home from now on. You have gone out of your way to make our stay perfect and we can;t thank you enough. My relatives like the place SO MUCH that they want to rent the place also from now on. I have given them your information and they will be contacting you. Disney was Magical and your home and service was even better. I spent a week there march of 06, 4bdrs and baths ,beautiful place and more importantly each bedroom and other rooms have tvs, great because near great gold for me and disney, seaworld etc etc and loads of restaurants.I will be going back

We found this townhouse to be very convenient to everything - the clubhouse was a very short walk, the shopping center/restaurants/grocery store were only about a mile away, and getting to the parks was fast and easy. The owner was wonderful to work with, always quickly responding to any e-mails/questions I had. Check in was fast and easy, and it was a very quiet, relaxing place to stay. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Positively incredible! From the enormous size of the living quarters to the top notch amenities, I don't think I could have picked a better property if I physically examined each and every one at Emerald Island. My family and our guests felt like Queens and Kings in our very own [at least for a weak] private luxurious home. The owner must live here part of the year because there were televisions [A total of 5] in each room with DVD & VCR combos and furniture seemed to be brand new. We had our own laundry & washing machine; a kitchen stocked with service for eight; and a big comfy couch in the living room. Everything was clean and elaborately decorated with Disney lithographs in every room and toys for the kids. Next time I won’t look around - I'll just book this awesome condo again.
