Escape to the Poconos in this beautiful spacious contemporary home, nestled in a wooded community situated on a half-acre corner lot that is truly peaceful. A short walk to the lake/beach and minutes to ski resorts. This home is perfectly situated around all that the Pocono Mountain's has to offer.
This beautiful 3 bedroom home offers an oversize loft with professional foosball table, cable TV/VCR with video library,
XBox System w/ many games, and two full size futons for extra sleeping. This room which overlooks the family room, makes a great entertainment area for children or adults. There are cathedral ceilings in the family room with a grand stone fireplace and a second comfortable TV area w/DVD player for relaxing on those cold winter nights. The open design of the upstairs loft, downstairs family room and dining area allows you to entertain your friends and family while enjoying the endless views. The kitchen is fully equipped with range, microwave, pots & pans, dishes, mixer, blender, crock pot, utensils and more, making meal preparation a pleasure.
Whether rain or shine you can enjoy the outdoor living on the comfortable screen porch which overlooks the lush wooded area where you can watch the many deers coming through or just relax/entertain on the outside deck complete w/patio furniture for those summer nights.
On the main floor you will find a bright comfortable room with one set of bunkbeds and one twin. The next room across the way is nicely decorated and offers a queen size bed. On the second floor, there is another oversized bedroom with a queen size bed and a half bath. All the rooms have new pillows, comforters, alarm clocks and carpet.

The Pocono Mountains offer a variety of activities for every season. In the winter, you can visit the nearby ski resorts of Big Boulder/Jack Frost. They offer downhill skiing, snow boarding and tubing for every skill level. This is also a great spot to kick back and relax with daily musical entertainment. Nearby Tannersville offers outlet shopping(the best outlets every!) and Jim Thorpe offers fine dining and quaint shops. For those NASCAR fans, Pocono Raceways in minutes away.
In the summertime, Whitewater rafting and Mountain Biking along the Lehigh River/Gorge is great fun. Horseback riding or Paint ball is also close by for the more adventurous people. Hickory Run State Park offers many different hiking trails for every member of the group. Nearby Camelback has a large waterpark for your amusement. Other recreational facilities in the community include: A baseball field, a basketball court, shuffleboard, bocci ball, playground,tennis courts, and picnic areas.
This community includes 5 lakes, 3 with white sandy beaches and lifeguards throughout the summer. The home is walking distance to one of the beautiful lakes were you can relax on the beach or canoe/ swim in the lake.
There is a snack bar, playground, and picnic area at each lake. Also during the summer months, the recreation committee has activities planned for almost every day, including arts and crafts. Other activities held throughout the summer include movies, bingo night and teen dances.
Locust Lake has a perfect location to all activities and attractions. This property is conveniently 10 minutes away from Jack Frost/Big Boulder Ski Resort. In addition, Camelback Ski/Water Park, Pocono Raceway, Horseback Riding, Paintball, whitewater rafting, golfing and outlet shopping are all within 10-20 minutes away.
This village is adjacent to a main highway, Route 940, only 5 miles form Route 80 and 10 miles from the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It is close to a shopping center containing an excellent food market and a variety of stores and great restaurants. On the eastern boundary of the Village is the 21,000 acre Brady's State Game Lands.

Thanks so much for all your help. We had a wonderful time in the Poconos. The house was wonderful and like I said on the phone, it felt like home. We especially liked the two separate areas for entertaining. The kids were in one area and the adults in another. My mother wants to know where you bought the mattress in the downstairs bedroom because she never slept so sound. We will be in touch for next year - thanks again.

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your mountain retreat with our family. We've been coming to the mountains for 20 years now and I have to say...your home was the nicest! Never stayed in LLV before and just loved it. Best community we ever stayed in. Thanks so much for being such a great sport and helping us out with our little problem. I dont think any another owner would of done what you guys did for us. We promise to be back next year!!

Hi Lucinda, I received my deposit refund today, thank you. "Life is sooo much better in the mountains." Carl and I had such a wonderful time at your home. It was cozy, perfect and we appreciated all the ammenities. When Carl's sister called from Delaware County to see how we were handling the extreme heat, we told her that we were sleeping with a quilt. I read two books, rested, enjoyed your screened in porch, and loved the lakes and the deers. I only wish that my children would have been able to visit, because I know they would have enjoyed it too. Maybe next time. Next summer I would like to reserve the last two weeks in July. Could I send you a deposit to hold those weeks? Thank you again, Barbara

Hi Lucinda We had so much fun in the Poconos. Your house is so charming and the kids really liked the bunkbed room. The upstairs loft with entertainment area and games was also a big hit with the little and big ones! We went horseback riding and spent the day at Camelbeach (highly recommend this!). The kids loved the lake and playground, and we were there almost every day. We had some four-legged friends visit us every day - the kids loved feeding the deer and turkeys. They couldnt way to see them. Thanks again for being so kind through the whole process - we will be back next year!

Hello Lucinda and Kevin We had a great time on our family vacation in the moutains. Our family had never been there in the fall before and what a treat we got. The leaves were beautiful and the weather was perfect. We were surprised at all the activities in the area. Our family went horseback riding, visited the outlet, and on our way out, went four-wheel riding through the mountains. We had so much fun. Also want to say thank you for the great accommodations. The house was perfect and really clean. I felt like I was in the mountains staying at your house. It had a rustic feel to it and the fireplace was nice in the evenings to sit around and make smores. Thank you again for making our vacation so easy and fun!

We went to the Poconos with another family and had a great time. It started to snow the second day which was wonderful. The kids went sledding at the sledding hill and the skiing was so much fun! This was our first time in the mountains - we are now coming back to your house each year. It was perfect for our group and you have been very accommodating. We used the activity book at the house each day which helped us find locations of restaurants and things to do - it was great. We especially loved the fireplace in the family room. We had to going each night after skiing - it made the room so cozy. Thanks again Lucinda and we will see you again next year!

Hi Lucinda, We had a wonderful time. The weather was nice and the evenings were cool. Thanks again, the house exceeded our expectations and the area was full of things to do for all ages. We have 4 children (1boy and 3 girls) from 16 to 6 so we had to try to make everyone happy. I think we succeeded.................they had a great time.
