This beautiful, one bedroom condominium (700 square feet) is located in building #2 at Kona Makai, a gated condominium complex consisting of 100 units on the sunny Kona coast of the "Big Island" of Hawaii.
It lacks nothing! The view from the lanai is simply gorgeous and it never gets old. The condo overlooks the Kona Makai common grounds including pool, Jacuzzi, and gas barbecue grills. The lanai has super comfortable plush furniture, so you can relax and watch the cruise ships enter the Kona harbor or watch the dolphins and whales swim offshore, or or just enjoy your morning coffee in peace and quiet. In the afternoon the colorful parasailors are in the area. You may want to give this a try, or rent some gear and snorkel right off of the Kona Makai shoreline. There is so much to enjoy without leaving the complex.
All rooms, including the lanai, have Italian tiled floors and ceiling fans. If there is no breeze on the lanai, simply turn on the fan and make your own!
The unit was remodeled 4 years ago. It includes everything and more! It is tastefully decorated in a light motif, with accent walls, that anyone will enjoy. Although the unit is air conditioned, a fresh breeze blows through from the bedroom through the open sliding glass doors rarely making the AC necessary. It is located on the second floor, and there is no car traffic in this part of the complex.
This is one of the best equipped condominiums that you will ever find. You do not need to worry about anything. It has plenty of linens and bath towels, beach chairs and beach towels, mens golf clubs, a completely furnished kitchen with new or close to new appliances. The Maytag washer and drier are the best we could find and we even furnish laundry detergent to handle your laundry needs. We also have microwave, dishwasher, disposer, under-counter lighting, stereo, DVD/VHS player, new LCD flat-screen television, and the most comfortable king sized bed you will ever sleep in. We also furnish a nice selection of Hawaiian guide books as well as many books on Hawaiian culture and history to help you fall asleep.
Kona Makai is a quiet complex, gated for security, and conveniently located 1 mile South of Kailua town on beautiful Alii Drive within easy walking distance to town. The grounds are simply breath taking; the view and the colorful gardens full of every kind of Hawaiian plant one can imagine.
A reviewer for a national travel magazine awarded it 5 stars (out of 5) and described it this way: Kona Makai: the best kept secret in Kona! My wife and I have stayed at the Kona Makai condominiums many times and just love the ocean views and the gorgeous grounds. The guests gather by the pool each evening to watch the gorgeous sunsets. We stayed in building 2, which is said by the full-time residents to be the best. Such a bargain for Kona!
