My husband and I just returned from an incredible week in Indio. We really enjoyed our week of stay at the Desert Oasis Villa Condo. Nancy is so easy to work with and immediately takes care of any need and detail. The condo is very comfortable and clean. The bed was also comfortable. The location of the condo is fantasic as it is directly across from the pool and jacuzzi. My husband enjoyed his morning coffee each morning as he relaxed and watched the golfers from the back patio. Also, it is very easy from this location to jump on Hwy 111 or Hwy 10 to get to any other location in the entire Coachella Valley. There is so much to do in this area, we could not fit it all in. We would definitely stay here again and we look forward to a return trip! An excellent value!! P.S. We hiked to several actual desert oasis's in the area and I would definitely recommend anyone to go do the same..... Wonderful!

The good: The owners are great to work with and very responsive. Location is very nice, and the condo has a powerful AC. It felt bigger inside than the pics led me to believe too, and the furniture and bedding is comfortable. The pool and hot tub are nice, and right across the street. We were told we would have 24 hour access, but then we were asked to leave by security our last night there. Told us the pool was closed. We weren't loud or disruptive so I am not sure why this was, but at least it was just for the last night. The not so good: Almost everything in the condo is dated (other than the nice tv, which was new), and in some places the condo needs an upgrade. The garbage disposal leaked, however we notified the owner and she let us know she would have it fixed as soon as possible, and was thankful that we let her know. They could certainly use a new set of pots and pans, as the ones they currently have are in bad shape. During our stay, the pilot light on the hot water heater went out, but once we notified the owners, it was just hours before they had their neighbor come by to re-light it. Unfortunately, we had to buy some basics I would expect to have, such as a sponge for cleaning and basic kitchen garbage bags. Overall the owners are very nice and easy to work with, and the location is great if you are going to the Polo Grounds, but other than that it's somewhat average in quality. Nothing bad or wrong, just not great either. Again, if there's anything at all lacking in quality here it's the furnishings in the condo. The owners were responsive, honest, and great to work with, and are highly recommended.

Owner response:I would say that over all this guest was pleased with what he found, however I don't know what standard he expected with my pots and pans. This person found the condo at the end of the rental season and during the concert season. Things get tuned up after this period and are in tip top shape again. Homes have issues from time to time and we get them fixed when they crop up, as he said, so I hope no one would hold that against us. STUff happens!! The lack of sponge and garbage bags was an oversight of the cleaning staff and does not generally happen. We supply all these things. During the concerts security is tight, and I suspect that is why our guests were asked to leave the pool. This is a time when rules are strictly enforced because of the potential of problems. Rules ARE posted. Usually things are pretty relaxed. Our condo has been kept up nicely. The photos tell the story.Things are even better than the photos as we put in a new Flat screen TV this year, a nice leather ottoman and new Ipod stereo. We have two barrel chairs and a micro fiber love seat. Everything is deep cleaned yearly if not more often. We shampooed carpets mid year this year and will do it again before next season. We really do stay on top of things... so I am glad he gave us a 4 out of 5 rating. I think he had much higher, and perhaps unrealistic expectations. But please contact us for some conversation about any concerns.

this condo has not been updated since it was built in 1980......everything is original , and the furniture is the cheapest veneer. the linens are worn, frayed towels, lint covered blankets and faded comforters which are too small for the beds. the windows are filthy and screen doors try to slide on rusted tracks. the patio was so disgraceful with its cracked concete slabs and uncomfortable cheap plastic furniture we could not enjoy sitting on it.. I even spent a morning on my hands and knees recaulking the bathroom in order to repel the red ants which were swarming over the floor..this was a complete disappointment, and we would definitely NOT recommend it to any of our friends. this property was not accurately described and the photos did not show the REAL appearance of the unit. The property was not cleaned and well maintained. I had to remove rust and burnt on food from the grill with sandpaper, before i could use it. Like so many rentals, as much money as it is possible to get for the owner, at the expense of the renter. Our damage deposit was only partially refunded.

Owner response:The above review was a complete fabrication,and was written as an act of retaliation. They were simply upset that a small portion of their deposit was held for extra houskeeping and carpet cleaning.This renter Left the place in such unacceptable condition that I almost lost my housekeeper over it. They had a dog that wore a diaper and the smell left behind was quite unacceptable.Ants and other small bugs are part of living in the desert and it happened to be an issue with all residents this year. If I had been given proper notice this renter would have been advised NOT to recaulked my bathroom but instead we would have called an exterminator quickly. We take great pride in the condition of our place, so please understand that this is a disgruntled person who wished to lash out to get "even" and not take responsibility for their actions. This was the first time using VRBO.com what a great experience. The condo was perfect for us. The condo is well maintained and has a nice layout. We filled up our daylight hours exploring the area (hiking Indian Canyons, La Quinta trails, Exploring Salton Sea, Joshua Tree National Park and golfing) It was very nice at the end of the day to park the car and relax have a beverage and leisurely dinner followed by a walk or pooltime. The pool and hot tub across the street were easy access (as the evenings were cool it was a quick trip to the hot tub) Golf coarse was very welcoming to recreational golfers (sign up on the Indian Palms Country Club web site for discount green fees). We have already been telling our friends and family about our wonderful trip and the accomodation.

Our stay at your condo was wonderful. It was very relaxing which is what I wanted and it had everything we needed. The pool was great and very convenient and often empty. I was in the pool our first night at around 9:30 PM by myself floating on my back, looking at the nearly full moon with the silhouette of the palm trees, thinking it doesn't get much better. I think the units on each side of your condo were vacant for the week because we never saw or heard anyone. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great, the boys were content, and we used the tennis courts in the evening when we could hit balls for free. Thank you for being very easy to work with and for all of your communication during the process. It has to be a little weird having strangers staying in your "home", but you made us feel welcome and I hope we left it in good shape. Have a terrific summer and hopefully we'll get a chance to rent from you again sometime in the future. The Small's wish the Libby's good health and happiness.

Nancy, We sure enjoyed staying in your nice Villa this past weekend. It was so peaceful and the neighbors were so nice, all right in the midsts of a concert just a mile away! The walk wasn't bad at all and we ate at the golf club restaurant everyday! We will be back next year! Thanks again!

This condo suited our needs for the weekend perfectly. We enjoyed being so close to the pool and hot tub. The large back patio is right off the golf course. Very cozy with plenty of room for our large group. Nancy was also very easy to work with and wanted to make sure our experience at the condo was a positive one. What a wonderful get away! After staying at the Desert Oasis Villa in Indio Palms Resort for three days, I was relaxed, rejuvinated and ready to return to work (well, almost!) The condo was spacious, clean and self-contained... the pool and spa area was clean and refresing... the grounds of the surrounding resort were lush and well maintained - - all we had to do was bring our food and sunscreen!

If you need a get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to relax and enjoy. The pool is directly across the street, we often went back and forth for food and drinks, hardly anyone around. The golf course is well maintained and challenging. The condo is clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed to bring a small suitcase. I lived in my bathing suit and one dress. I met girlfriends from my High School days, we shopped for food and never left the condo for 3 days. The weather was hot, but not unbarable while floating in the pool. Bart and Nancy are wonderful people with huge hearts and smarts. They are professional, pleasant and easy to work with. Thanks a bunch for an enjoyable visit. I'll definitely go again!

This is a lovely condo in a quiet golf community. It has all the comforts of home including a refreshing pool which is right across the road, and very friendly neighbours. We would recommend this place to any of our friends.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with the owners and the condo itself. The owners are a joy to work with and we are already trying to plan some time to go back. The condo is clean and comfortable with everything you need to cook in and relax. The pool is literally across the street. What a fantastic place!!! Quiet and relaxing. Bring some friends your bathing suit and glof clubs. You won't need anything else!!!
