The 3 decks of this beautiful condo overlook Sail Bay in Mission Bay, yet this home is also less than 100 yards from the ocean. This allows easy access to the surf, yet provides a quiet retreat in the evening.
This property recently underwent a major renovation with professional designers and was featured in San Diego Magazine's Design section! The living room and kitchen overlook the beach. The dining room sits just back of the living room. The dining table is 60" round, which accommodates 8, but also has 2-15" leaves for even larger gatherings. This is not a typical rental with sparse decorations; this is a lovely home. But as beautiful as the decor is, it is only matched by the views of the water below.
The living room has a 48" HDTV with surround sound and remote controlled lighting in both the living room and dining room.
The gourmet kitchen was professionally designed with high-end appliances, custom cabinets, sandblasted bar and stunning glass tile backsplash and contemporary countertops.
Two central air conditioner cool up and down stairs, but are rarely necessary due to the cool ocean breezes.
There are two master bedrooms suites and no bedroom is adjacent to another, providing maximum privacy.
The 13 x 35 ft. 3rd floor deck has a lovely garden gazebo ideal for barbequing on its LYNX Pro BBQ and entertaining with it's bar and refrigerator.
Three parking spaces, unheard of at the beach, make beach living easy and a location around the corner from watercraft rentals and bicycle rentals make having fun a breeze! This is beach living at its best.

Why the Owner Chose Mission Beach
We shopped for a couple of years before buying our home. Our family is all very tall, so it was important that we find a home that was large enough to be comfortable. And, we found it! Our home has very good sized rooms...2 master suites and two other bedrooms that are generously sized. We also liked the fact that there is lawn out front before the sand. This allows us to play games like crochet, frisbee, etc. without having to get sandy (unless we want to!). Our home is also close to a few cafes and several activities such as rentals for beach toys and equipment, bicycles and wet suits. There is a playground for children very nearby and basketball and tennis in the same area just step away. We love our location: it is convenient, not a busy as the ocean side (though just a few steps away) and invites all our favorite activities
Owner's Map of Mission Beach
My husband and I live and raised three children in Northern Nevada. San Diego is a great escape from winter weather and a nice change from mountains and high desert. I work at the Nevada Center for Ethics and Health Policy and teach online for the University as well. This schedule allows me to spend time in San Diego, which we regularly do. Therefore, you will find our home to be very well supplied and maintained. It is our second home though we enjoy sharing it with others who visit San Diego. I'm sure you'll feel at home as well (although we've put away all our personal items).

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone look for a great beach getaway in San Diego with family or friends. The property is well equipped with everything you would need. I love that each bedroom has it's own bathroom making traveling with others very easy. The location of the home is perfect and you are steps away from the ocean and can easily walk to shops and restaurants.

What a great home for vacation. Home is very well kept and very comfortable, just as described. Great location, nicely furnished, close to bay and ocean and quiet. Nice restaurants and bakery near-by. Enjoyed our morning coffee and evening snacks on any one of the 3 decks, with a beautiful view of the bay. Owner easy to contact and very helpful. If you are looking for a beach house that is close to EVERYTHING, yet you want privacy! You just found it! This vacation home is amazing, the master suite is HUGH, the master bath is out of a magazine, and the other 3 bedroom are bigger than normal bedrooms. The kitchen is very well equiped, and so is the rest of the house! !We had 6 adults and 4 young children in the house and we did not feel crowded at all. We all had our own bedroom, and we all had our own space. The children LOVED going out to the beach, and the best part... I can watch them from the living room with a glass of wine in hand!

The location of the home is amazing. Close to everything but just far away from the beachside mayhem. The home itself is quite sacious. 4 couples had plenty of room. The whole experience was wonderful. We will be back.

We came down to walk in the Susan G. Komen, 3 day walk for the cure. The house could not have been more ideally situated. It was the perfect home to come back to after our 20mile walk days. We could relax, ride a bike to dinner, and just enjoy.

This was a lovely home for our family of 8 - it's convenient to the beach, walking to restaurants, and all the sightseeing you might want to do. The well appointed kitchen allowed us to prepare a few meals and maximize family time. Having 4 full bathrooms & 4 bedrooms provided everyone with the privacy they desired. The owner is so easy to work with and answers your email notes promptly.

The home's location on the bayside water front is perfect - so peaceful and beautiful yet only a short walk from the hubbub and excitement of the Mission Beach boardwalk and Pacific Ocean. The location is also great for quick access to downtown, the Zoo, Balboa Park, La Jolla (all within a 15 minute drive), etc. The home itself is very spacious, comfortable and supplied with all of the house wares you need. Great home with easy access to the beach and walking distance to many places to eat and shop. Beautiful view of the bay and this allowed access for my 2 y/o to play in the water and grass in front of the property. We had 9 adults and we were all very comfortable.

We recently rented this beautiful house for a family reunion!!! Had family come from as far as Australia and had plenty of room. The house was well stocked, clean and is quite a show place. We will rent it again very soon!!!!

This property is unique in that all 4 bedrooms have king or queen beds (compared to many rentals with only king in the master) so it is perfect for multiple couples traveling together. We loved the location of this condo and the layout. It is very quiet from room to room so privacy is never an issue. It is a quiet by the little bay but close to the lively Pacific and boardwalk. Lovely balconies from which to chill or grill! It's fun being able to see the fireworks from Sea World every night. The condo is well maintained and the owner answered all of our questions as first time VRBO renters. If I thought I'd be going back to San Diego, I would definitely rent here again and send my friends.
