This home is excellent for 8 people and up to 10. The location overlooks Mission Bay and is on the quiet side of Mission Beach. The lights on the bay at night are gorgeous. The location is also nice, because there is extra parking off of Santa Clara Place if you have people visiting. Parking in Mission Beach can be horrible otherwise. There are three parking spaces with the house which is unusual at the beach. There are stores and restaurants within easy walking distance. The interior is extremely comfortable. Three of the bedrooms have their own private full bathroom. The master bedroom is large and has a private balcony overlooking the bay and can easily seat four adults. The master bath is very nicely done with a rainshower and separate deep bathtub. The kitchen is well appointed and has more than adequate cooking utensils for anyone who wishes to cook. There is a large dining room table that will seat 8. The upstairs patio is covered and has seating for at least 6. There is a built in barbeque which worked nicely. The owner is very cordial and has all aspects of the rental process well organized. This house is exceptional and I would recommend it to anyone. The owner is

We loved staying at this beautiful home in Mission Bay/Mission Beach. It is so comfortable and very nice. We loved the views and boardwalk out front, but is more quiet than being directly on beach. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is decked out with everything and the tv and sound system were top notch. We watched a lot of bowl games and were amazed at the quality. The master bath is amazing! We liked being a little up off the boardwalk; we could watch the people walking or biking but they couldn't directly see us. My daughters loved sitting on the couch and watching all the dogs walking by! Sally and Amy were great to work with. Would definitely recommend this home!

"Beauty on the Bay" best describes our recent experience at this Beach Rental on Mission Bay. This place was perfect for our family reunion of 8 adults attending a wedding event. The home had 4 bedrooms and 4 baths so each couple had their own private space. Towels, bedding, and cooking utensils were provided and easily met our needs. There was a huge upgraded living room, dining room, and kitchen area to congregate in to fix and share meals, as well as relax to watch TV or just enjoy the beautiful sunrise each morning on the Bay from the huge windows. It was easy to contact the owner who provided an accurate descriptions of the property and answered questions prior to the rental week. There were 3 different outside patio/deck areas which we used to sip morning coffee, and shared in a family cook out. The property is on the Bayside Walking path and within walking distance of numerous restaurants, bakery, deli, ATM , bike and surf rentals, and the beach. It was easy to access the highway for trips to explore the San Diego area. It was the perfect place to share in our once in a lifetime family reunion and wedding event and I would recommend it for those seeking larger adult gatherings.

Unique property in an amazing location. Definitely not your basic beach house. Loved the grassy area in front of the beach -great if you wanted to relax outside without getting sandy. Very few homes directly on Mission Bay had grass out front. The views are better than advertised, including perfect views of Sea World's fireworks. There's a cool little cafe (Olive Cafe) one block away which we frequented for coffee, breakfast and ice cream. Right next to the cafe is Cheap Rents - where you can get any "beach toy" you need. I tried stand-up paddleboarding - perfect for the bay! We went to the Zoo, Sea World, La Jolla Cove, Point Loma, and Old Town during our week - but could just have easily spent the whole week relaxing on Mission Bay. The home is incredibly well stocked. Each of the four bedrooms has it's own full bath - very rare in a "beach house". Three of the rooms have their own TV. We found the property in very good shape upon arrival, with a few minor issues that were quickly addressed. My only criticism would be that the parking is VERY tight. There are two tandem spots (back to back) in the garage - and our mini-van and full size sedan could not fit back to back, There is a third off street spot, but neither of our cars could fit in it without breaking the mirrors off first. Luckily there were some free overnight parking spots at the Bay recreation centers nearby. I would advise renters bringing multiple cars to make sure they are compact. Overall our family had a fantastic stay at this Mission Bay property - and I would have no reservations about visiting again.

My family and I were unfortunately unhappy with this property Although it is a lovelycondo in a simply beautiful place, it was not clean when we arrived. The carpets were terribly dirty, so much so, that I contacted the owner and asked that the carpets be cleaned, which was done. The kitchen floor and cupboards were sticky, the fry pans and many bowls were greasy and almost all of the glasses were cloudy and needed to be replaced. The sheets on several of the beds had old stains and when our grandchildren went into the closet in their room to get an extra pillow, they found 3 teaspoons with what appeared to be old dried peanut butter on them. The problem with this lovely condo is that it is booked from Saturday to Saturday in the high season and thus there is very little time between rentals for a complete and thorough cleaning. We were advised by the caretaker that there is no time to clean the carpets or thoroughly clean the kitchen until after the high season, even if the carpets are terribly dirty. Thus as we were there towards the end of the summer, the lack of cleanliness showed. I would, therefore, recommend to future renters that they arrive early in the summer when the condo is in better and cleaner shape.

Owner response: I truly regret the dissatisfaction found with our home and have already taken measures to remedy such an experience in the future. This was our first year to be booked straight through the summer without an opportunity for more thorough cleaning mid-season. I had planned to ask guests for a day when they would be out so we could go in for additional cleaning and carpet cleaning, but no one volunteered, which I now realize was naïve on my part. Therefore, I will now remove our home from the market mid-season in order to allow a thorough cleaning and ask my manager to check the condition of the kitchen items more carefully on each turn-over. In addition, as in this case, I ask all guests to notify me of anything they find lacking, I ALWAYS respond quickly and will assure they are satisfied. In this case, I sent over the carpet cleaner while the guests were out for the day and offered to have my cleaning crew the same day, but this service was declined. As for the cloudy glasses, a new set was provided. Our home is VERY well stocked. Closets have extra blankets and pillows and the kitchen cupboards are well supplied with serving pieces, a variety of stemware and items enabling preparation of full meals; this home is not sparsely stocked. Our cleaning crew checks under beds, behind doors, in drawers and in closets for items left behind or other otherwise out of place. However, if a previous guest has hidden dirty spoons in a closet, it may be missed in routine cleaning, but a mere mention of such an issue to me will result in a quick remediation. I appreciate these issues being brought to my attention. We will make every effort to assure only positive experiences at our home.

This property is, indeed, not just a beach house. Our family of 10 - grandparents, parents and grandchildren were a little more careful than we normally would have been because this home deserves that kind of respect. That said, it is not the kind of place where you have to worry constantly about breaking something. It is set up for good use by all ages (except those that have problems with stairs) and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The excellent view of the Sea World fireworks every night at 9:50 was a really nice end to our days. We did find that by the time we all took our "after beach" showers, we were out of towels and had to do laundry a little more often than we would have liked. Some extra towels and bed linens would have been appreciated. We rented paddle boards and kayaks each day from the nearby rental center and we all had fun with our sand toys, boogie boards and beach games. The grass area was fun in the evening. We rented a "Smores" service our last night and they provided a beach fire, roasting sticks, chairs and the smores supplies. So fun! The location was perfect and actually very quiet for the most part compared to other beach properties. We only had one evening where we heard a party and that was easily solved by closing windows. All in all, a great experience and we plan to return again!

Great place to spend a week with the children and grandchildren. Everyone had room to spread out and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The location was fabulous with easy walking to the beach and restaurants. Loved the Olive Cafe around the corner and enjoyed going for a walk and biking along the bay. The house was close to Sea world and other attractions. The kitchen was well equiped and we enjoyed grilling on the deck. The property was well maintained. I would recommend this property to friends.

Our family and another spent the better part of spring break here with 5 Adults and 5 Kinds (4-6). The location on the bay was great, quiet and safer for the kids. We could actually sit on the deck while they played on the grass and sand. The home feeld just like that, a home. very relaxed and comfortable. Plenty of stuff in the kitchen so you can actually cook.

Incredible home! Everything is great - from the quiet, serene location, to the home amenities. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which prevented hallway traffic and congestion. The 3 balconies were amazing - breath taking views of the sunrise that can be seen from any of the 3 balconies. The location perfect - being in a quiet setting, and only minutes of walking to the strip where everything can be found. The layout of the home maximized the space for all the household activities - enough room in the kitchen, plenty to eat at the large dining room table, and the family/living room that accommodated everyone without crowding. After spending a week of walking up and down the street and looking at other rental homes - we still decided we had rented the nicest looking home, and had a better location on the bay than any other available home. Looking forward to our return in the next few months and undoubtedly renting this home again!

What a great home for vacation. Home is very well kept and very comfortable, just as described. Great location, nicely furnished, close to bay and ocean and quiet. Nice restaurants and bakery near-by. Enjoyed our morning coffee and evening snacks on any one of the 3 decks, with a beautiful view of the bay. Owner easy to contact and very helpful. This was a lovely home for our family of 8 - it's convenient to the beach, walking to restaurants, and all the sightseeing you might want to do. The well appointed kitchen allowed us to prepare a few meals and maximize family time. Having 4 full bathrooms & 4 bedrooms provided everyone with the privacy they desired. The home's location on the bayside water front is perfect - so peaceful and beautiful yet only a short walk from the hubbub and excitement of the Mission Beach boardwalk and Pacific Ocean. The location is also great for quick access to downtown, the Zoo, Balboa Park, La Jolla (all within a 15 minute drive), etc. The home itself is very spacious, comfortable and supplied with all of the house wares you need. My family would definitely choose this location and home again. Thank you Sally!

This property is unique in that all 4 bedrooms have king or queen beds (compared to many rentals with only king in the master) so it is perfect for multiple couples traveling together. We loved the location of this condo and the layout. It is very quiet from room to room so privacy is never an issue. It is a quiet by the little bay but close to the lively Pacific and boardwalk. Lovely balconies from which to chill or grill! It's fun being able to see the fireworks from Sea World every night. The condo is well maintained and the owner answered all of our questions as first time VRBO renters. If I thought I'd be going back to San Diego, I would definitely rent here again and send my friends.

Three couples (55+) who used to be neighbors try to get together every year or so. We liked the photos and description of this condo so much we changed our vacation dates for its availability -- and were not disappointed. The location was ideal -- not only a gorgeous view of Mission Bay, but easy to get to from the airport, easy to navigate to and from to San Diego attractions, and quiet. It's everything the owner's description and photos show here. You can take quiet walks on the bay or more 'people' walks by the ocean. You can see the fireworks from Sea World every night from the decks and not get tired of them. Very satisfying places to walk to for breakfast (The Mission and Olives), lunch (The Mission) or dinner (Saskas). This was our first time renting as a group thru vrbo and the owner was very forthcoming in the description of the area, their rental history, and has a friendly and informative local contact. Would definitely recommend to others or return ourselves!

This vacation home is amazing, the master suite is HUGH, the master bath is out of a magazine, and the other 3 bedroom are bigger than normal bedrooms. The kitchen is very well equiped, and so is the rest of the house! !We had 6 adults and 4 young children in the house and we did not feel crowded at all. We all had our own bedroom, and we all had our own space. The children LOVED going out to the beach, and the best part... I can watch them from the living room with a glass of wine in hand!

My trip leaves me with the lasting image of Sunday morning in my mind. I woke up relatively early Sunday morning, poured myself a cup of coffee, and went out to the balcony at this gorgeous condo. This beachview condo has multiple balconies, one of which overlooks a little cove to the East, where you can watch the sun rise. I sat out there for a little over an hour, until my friend began insinuating that if we didn't leave soon, I was going to miss my flight. I contemplated the consequences before deciding it was probably time to stand up and actually leave this paradise. I think I could have sat there watching life unfold all day, without saying a word. After a weekend with great friends, great adventures, and one of the most picturesque views I can remember, I have a hard time contemplating a better experience. If you think paradise doesn't exist in America, go to Mission Beach in San Diego, crab a coffee, and enjoy perfection.

Was very hesitant to rent a house site unseen for an upcoming conference which I knew business clients would be coming over to see. The house turned out to be perfect, and the experience and location was fantastic! House faces the bay side with a beautiful view of the marina, and the pacific ocean is a quick walk across the street. Transaction was simple, the house was great, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to take in mission beach!
