Our family [My wife, myself and our 2 children] stayed at the Lancelot in July 2011. We had an amazing time in Paris and loved the apartment. Our son enjoyed pulling his bed down from the wall every night. The neighborhood is busy and friendly. We had a vehicle, but did not do much driving in Paris. The apartment was located near the Metro and many bakeries, shops and restaurants. We loved the fountains at the Centre Pompidou [very close] and would walk there to people watch and the kids would eat gelato. Great memories, thanks Isabelle,

We spent a week in the Lancelot and it was very comfortable for our family of four. The A/C was very welcome since its very humid in Paris in August, it worked great and cooled it down. The beds were comfortable, I have to say they were firmer than I like so keep that in mind. The kids liked the bed in the wall! :) There are lots of stores that are useful close by. Monoprix was about a ten minute walk away and great for groceries. There is a small grocery store a couple of streets away on Archives the man that runs it is very friendly. Brioche Doree is on Rivoli near Hotel De Ville and is great for families for any meal. Avoid Quick Burger is was awful!!!! Our family favorites were Jardin du Luxembourg they have a great park for kids, it costs about 10 euro to access for a family of four but well worth it and they have a bathroom!!! We had a great time, thanks Isabelle!!

If you are looking for an apartment in central Paris look no further! I searched for weeks on the internet and when I found Isabelle's apartments I thought, "this is it!" And it was! It can be difficult trusting people on the internet but our experience was fantastic and I would absolutely recommend it to others. The booking system was very straightforward and the payment system worked very smoothly, including the return of our deposit after our stay. I was initially looking for an apartment which would accommodate myself, my husband and our two rapidly growing teenagers - we had stayed at other places with what turned out to be "child" beds and since our chldren are taller than me this was a real problem! I asked Isabelle specifically about this and was very reassured - the beds in fact are better than expected and it easily accommodated us - in fact our daughter had the luxury of a double bed! The apartment has everything you need, it's beautifully appointed and very clean. We loved the location of Le Marais - it was quite important for me that we could stay somewhere where we could walk to sights and this worked out brilliantly. We went on the Metro only a couple of times, when we had long journeys such as back to the Gare du Nord and also to MontMartre, otherwise we walked and also got the Batobus - this is a boat that you can get day tickets, 2 day tickets, or 5 day tickets, and hop on/hop off. We got 5 day tickets and this would be my top tip for travellers! It means you can get to quite a lot of the sights, doing the hop on/hop off thing, but also you can treat it like a cruise, just stay on and go all the way around and get off where you started. We did this actually most evenings and it was beautiful, very relaxing. We usually got on at the nearest stop, Hotel de Ville, and it takes you to stops which include the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, then back up the other side of the Seine, calling at various other places including stops for the Musee D'Orsay and the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, right up to the Jardin de Plantes, after which it comes back to the Hotel de Ville. Try it! Highly recommended and we will try and come back soon. Incidentally I'd really recommend going via Eurostar which was brilliant. Thanks Isabelle x PS Our teenagers loved the art in Paris, one's doing GSCE and the other A level art, we did the Pompidou Centre, Musee D'Orsay, Musee D'Art Moderne, Louvre, also some smaller galleries and searching for French graffiti!

I would certainly recommend Isabelle to anyone booking and paying from overseas. She was very prompt in her replies and gave very useful information for finding the apartment etc. Our bond was repaid within a few days of our departure from the apartment. On our arrival there were problems with the phone and the internet access and Isabelle had them rectified very quickly. The apartment is in a great location and it is very easy to get to all the attractions from here. It was great to have our own 'home' in Paris.

Me and my wife visited Paris in March and stayed in the apartment for 9 days. The apartment was great, the location excellent (walking distance from all central sites) and the neighbourhood charming. Next time we visit Paris, we will definitely consider staying there again.

My boyfriend and I were just in Paris for fashion week working, and we were delighted to stay in yet another one of Isabelles apartments. This HAS to be the best and easiest way to travel. Like other comments below, the simplicity of any and all transactions and communication is seamless. I know most people are scared to travel let alone stay in an apartment instead of a hotel, but if I can recommend anything to a new traveler is to stay here. Isabelle makes it so easy if there is any kind of problem of any sort. In each apartment is a handbook of really any information you might need for your stay. Specifically, the Lancelot is in the best location, we hardly took the subway because we were so close to this quaint part of town. Thank you Isabelle, we will be back in July!

We stayed at Lancelot from Dec. 19th through Dec. 26th of 2009. Paris at Christmas time is great! I travelled with my husband and my two young sons (6-yrs old & 11-yrs old). Lancelot's location could not have been better. Such a charming neighborhood. The aparment was everything that Isabelle said it was. We also had Sabine for two days. It just made our whole trip. I would not have done anything differently.

We loved our stay in the Marais. This apartment is conveniently located to tons of fun within walking distance and it is very close to the metro which we took every day. Isabelle was incredibly helpful and the we loved Sabine a guide we meet through Isabelle's website.

We stayed in the Lancelot apartment with our two children ages 12 and 15. it must have been after the negative review. Any initial misgivings I had with renting an apartment in Paris sight unseen were put at ease by all of the information I received from Isabelle. I was also able to use google earth and view the apartment from the outside and the neighborhood it was in which made my family even more excited. We had our maps in carry on luggage and brought our cell phone with us. When you travel, you have to expect the unexpected and be prepared. The Lancelot apartment was fantastic. It's age added to its charm. For the price, you cannot find a hotel in Paris with comparable amenities. We really liked that it had a clothes washer which we used several times. I agree that the smoke in the hallway was a problem but that is not a fair criticism of the Lancelot apartment. The smoke from my memory never leaked into the apartment. From our observation, many many more people in Paris smoke which is something you should be prepared for before you travel to Paris. The apartment building does not have an elevator which I believe Isabelle warns you of beforehand. We also used the airport shuttle service that was recommended. It picked us up promptly and the driver spoke English. The only correspondence I have ever had with Isabelle was by email, before, during or after our stay. She had an associate meet us at the apartment who was there when we arrived and she was able to answer all of our questions. We had a fantastic trip which was made even better by staying at the Lancelot.

My family of five spent five nights in Isabelle's charming Lancelot apartment in the Marais. It was very well appointed and was in a brilliant location close to many wonderful restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Isabelle.
