And, only one hour and change from Denver and the front range for you locals. Once you are here all the "important" things in life are within walking distance: Starbucks, Cold Stone Creamery, Blockbuster, groceries, a cinema, and many more. Also, the free Summit Stage bus can get you to the ski areas and just about anywhere you want to go in Summit County. There are stops within a five-minute walk of the townhome.
When you are not out enjoying "Colorado's Playground," the townhome offers many creature comforts to make your stay that much better. In the master bedroom, enjoy a pillow-top, California king-size bed nestled in a giant aspen log frame, a remarkable view of the Gore mountain range without ever lifting your head from the pillow, and a jetted tub in the attached full bath. In the second room you will find a pillow-top queen in a leafy wrought iron frame. This bedroom also sports an attached full bath.
The main living area is open concept, with a large fully-stocked kitchen, round stone top dining table, three-fourths bath with washer/dryer, and a living room with an overstuffed sleeper sofa and chair situated for a fantastic view of the Gore mountain range and sunset. You can also indulge in a few luxuries that will allow you to stay as connected with the outside world as you see fit, during your vacation; free high-speed internet, large wide flat screen TV with cable, DVD/CD player, and an AM/FM radio with CD player. There is no land line phone; however, cell service is very strong in Dillon.
This comfy townhome is central to all the world-class ski areas in Summit County: Keystone - five miles, Copper - 11 miles, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin - 13 miles, Vail - 26 miles, and Beaver Creek - 35 miles. And, these ski areas are not just for skiing anymore! In the summer time - at any one of the ski areas, near Lake Dillon, or in the thousands of acres of national forest around Dillon, Silverthorne, and Frisco - you can find festivals, theater, sailing, fishing, biking, hiking, frisbee golf, regular golf or any activity you can imagine and some activities perhaps you had not thought of; For example, hot-air ballooning. During the winter you do not have to downhill ski or board everyday, believe it or not! You can snowshoe, ice skate, cross-country ski, and take a ride on a snowmobile, dog sled, or horse-drawn sleigh. All year round the Silverthorne Factory Outlets offer great shopping opportunities.
Summer, fall, winter, and early spring are perfect in Summit County. Late spring is affectionately known as mud season and has its pluses also, the towns are quiet and some of the ski areas are still open.
