The home was perfect for our needs! It is comfortably spacious for large group gatherings. Most of our meals were prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen.The property, inside and outside, was immaculate, just exactly as pictured. Thank you for providing us with a detailed list of the amenities. The only times we left Sunriver was to go grocery shopping in Bend and visit Crater Lake. I would definitely recommend this property to our friends.

This place is GREAT. Plain on the outside but gorgeous on the inside; it looks even better than the pictures. And you've gotta love all the bear & moose decorations. We needed four bedrooms and four baths for our Pacific Crest Marathon weekend so this fit the bill. We also wanted group cooking and the enormous kitchen had 2 sinks, 2 diswashers, commercial 6-burner stove, and every imaginable kitchen gadget. And everything worked, even the secure WiFi. Thanks, Al & Colleen! PS, for a cheap and interesting side trip go to the Newberry (Lava Lands) Visitor Center then hike the Lava River Cave - very unique.

We had a wonderful week at your home and we are sad that it has come to an end. We spent most of our time just hanging out, eating dinner, playing games, riding bikes, and going for walks. It snowed a bunch and the fireplace kept us warm on the really cold days. The lava caves were closed but the kids (and adults) had a great time sledding and swimming. We truly felt at home here and all of us hope to return soon!! Thank you for sharing your home.

I just can't believe how fast it's gone by. One week feels like 2 nights. The pools were cool but the house was something else. We LOVED the bikes. I went for a bike ride almost every day!! It was amazing how all of us fit in the house so perfectly. I really don't think I was bored for one minute. The hot tub was something else. It felt good on a cold morning. We saw a bunch of deer. Now I am sad to leave for a four hour drive home, from a paradise to a normal neighborhood. Lydia, age 12

What a pleasure to stay in your beautiful, fully outfitted house! We brought a cheese grater, already ground coffee, utensils, spices, etc that were not needed - you had everything! All of your bedrooms were immaculately laid out and decorated, each of our private bathrooms fully furnished and clean. If we are lucky enough to win regionals next year, can you save us this house? Yours sincerely, along with all of our guests (since we had the nicest house) - 8 very happy guests!

What a wonderful treat!! We loved every minute. Your home is warm and so comfortable. The beauty of your home made us feel welcome. Than you. Thanksgiving 2005 Hey, we got snow!! Great time was had by all - lots of monkey bread, maple twists, Risk, and Up and down the River - Polar Express and lots of good sharing after we feasted on turkey. Guys had fun shooting at the gravel pit and the women shopped 'til we dropped in downtown Bend..but we all very much missed our friends who were here the last two years. Happy Memorial Day Weekend One year later, here we are again. Baseball, Baseball, Baseball! Not quite noon yet and the boys (big and little) have enjoyed the hot tub and a 2 1/2 hour bike ride to get an ice cream cone. I received some sun rays on our way out to eat some awesome pizza from the yummy places in Sunriver village. A big thanks for sharing your home with our family and friends on this weekend. Thanksgiving 2004: Our returned for our traditional Thanksgiving week/weekend. It only snowed a little this year and it melted quickly. Our highlights were: watching ELF, seeing "National Treasure," playing Taboo and Scene It, the boys played x-box until about 2am every morning - and best of all seeing Mark re-create the scene from Flash Dance. Little Caden was with us this year (1 1/2 mos)and it was Lauren's first Thanksgiving.

What a terrific stay we had here in Sun River. Your home is exquisite, the resort is outstanding, and we plan to return for many summers to come. Nothing but Baseball, Baseball, Baseball. The Sherwood Renegades won 3 of 4 games - one left today, Monday. What a comfortable and beautiful abode. The kitchen was one for a gourmet cook. Not a utensil was missing. Beautiful baskets and plates, bowls, made for a fun few nights of entertaining. Your decor beats Martha Stewart 10 over. The beds slept us all very nicely. A place for the kids to relax (the loft) was a perfect way to unwind after the 50 times in and out of the hot tub. We had a great time and hope to be back sometime soon.

A Thanksgiving to remember! This house made for a perfect dinner with all the fixens! We found some great areas to sled along the way to Bachelor. However, the trail took a couple of pieces of my son's teeth. He is fine and still had a great time with his five other cousins. We loved coming to Sun River with new friends and old. The week was filled with golfing, hiking, biking, lava caves, and volcano tours. The highlights are too numerous to mention. We did love the Ropes Course, horseback riding, and Trout House...but we didn't love the complaining neighbors. However, Sun River is a wonderful place to remind oneself about the beautiful earth we live on!

The house is beautiful. Here for a family reunion. It was the perfect place to have it! With the two families plus grandparents staying in this house the space was great. Thank you for opening your home of distinction to us while we were in Oregon. Our party included my two sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were perfect. I enjoy puttering in the kitchen and was particularly impressed with the Viking six burner (I have one at home) and the quality of the various utensils. The pots made cooking very enjoyable for me. The area is very beautiful and we did several tours. The weather was unsurpassed - sunny and warm every day and cool at night for sleeping comfort. This was our second visit to Sun River and we look forward to returning.

Our thanks to the Lucas family for providing such a beautiful and well equipped home to complete strangers. Although we have all been to Sun River before, this was our first "four generation" trip anywhere - ages 85 to 3 years. The weather was perfect - despite the Coche Fire - and golf and swimming were much enjoyed. The 7 year old learned to ride his bike without training wheels, a memorable event for a memorable trip.

My husband and I have tried to have our family together for a family vacation for several years. We finally managed it. This weekend all of our children (except one) and their children were together and it was wonderful. We have lots of pictures and video tape for memories. I just wanted you to know your home was perfect for this, plenty of room, and the openness was perfect. Your house is warm and inviting, and we had a wonderful time. We've been coming back to the same house only this year the owners decided they had to have their house the same week we wanted it.
