The entrance - Lake Como Villa Rental Location This beautifully elegant property is located in the heart of the historical centre of Nesso below the church. The property dates back to the 11th century and is both full of character as well as being one of the most warm and welcoming properties that you will ever enjoy. Description The property was purchased by the current owners a couple of years ago who are experts on the history of the property and they have lovingly decorated it and made it a very comfortable base for those wishing to enjoy Lake Como to the full. As well as enjoying living as part of the community of Nesso you have the advantage of learning all about the amazing history of this property from when it was constructed to when the Higher Bishop of Nesso lived here and life here in Nesso during that time. The Property itself once you have entered from the historical centre of BORGO as its known as a small courtyard area which is filled with plants and flowers has 18 steps into the actual apartment. The various rooms and areas of the apartment are all on ONE LEVEL. On entering the property you see immediately an attractive entrance hallway with sofa and beautiful stained glass windows. The hallway leads into the living/dining room area where you have dining facilities for 4 persons, sofa for 4 persons, Satellite Television and a library of books covering all subjects that you are welcome to read during your stay. For those who enjoy videos you may wish to bring your video’s (vhs machine) with you and enjoy using the owners video machine too. The spacious living/dining room quarters lead out onto the terrace which can also be reached from the kitchen and guest bedroom too. Here we suggest enjoying all meals al Fresco as the Jasmin covered terrace overlooks the picturesque courtyard and beautiful stone antique houses of Nesso’s Antique Borgo. The terrace has table with four chairs and a sun lounger too. Continuing through the property we have a well equipped independent kitchen which is well prepared for even the most experienced cook including facilities such as microwave, grill, juice maker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Italian coffee maker, gas rings and electrical oven. There is table and 3 chairs too for eating breakfast in the kitchen. The guest bedroom follows the kitchen and has also access to the terrace. The guest bedroom has a French bed which is the size of one single bed + ½ a single bed so cozy for 2 persons but very comfortable and spacious for one persons. The bedroom is light and airy naturally and has good lighting too with drawer and hanging space not to mention a great mirror. The bathroom has an envious lake view and is extremely picturesque with the original window rounded shape. Dragging you away from the lake view the bathroom has a half bath tub with hand held shower, sink, toilet, bidet, hairdryer, bathroom mirror and make up mirror too not to mention that it is also very well lit. The master bedroom offers yet another lake view, queen size bed, mixture between antique furnishings and modern with walk in closet offering comfort and plenty of space for your clothes too making sure that your stay at the bishops house in nesso is very comfortable and enjoyable. NESSO Nesso is on the Como ‘Leg’ of the lake, along the road from Como to Bellagio. It is an old centre with picturesque groups of houses spread along the hilly slopes and along the shore of the lake. The village centre is situated in the point where the Tuf and Nose streams, which descend the Pian di Tivano, join and form the waterfall that plunges spectacularly into a gorge. The latter can be seen from the road or from the lake, by passing under an old bridge in a boat. Nearby there are ruins of a castle, with a high wall and three small towers. The Pian di Nesso is at a height of about 900 metres. It is a scenic mountain locality and is on the way to Monte Palanzone and Monte San Primo.
